Hi everyone! As of today, crowdfund applications have been opened to a new round of authors to apply. If you have been waiting for an opening to apply for crowdfunding but you haven't seen that section in your profile, check today. If you still don't see it, don't worry, we're in the testing phase so it will open up further in the future.

The crowdfunding program has been doing better than I expected as I hear from more and more authors (particularly from students and stay-at-home moms) that have been receiving the funding they need to keep making content and stay motivated. I'd like to thank the early testers for providing me with the feedback needed to improve the setup documentation and the fact that I am hearing of fewer problems means that the documentation is now easy enough to follow for most people and that the program can now be opened up to more authors.

In fact, I've received so many messages from current crowdfund authors expressing their support for the program that I've started to wonder about opening the program outside of Asianfanfics and create a more general site (structured like this one) for creatives not only for authors of other genres outside of Asian pop culture, but also for artists who make the story covers, videos, or audio narration. If there's enough interest, I would seriously consider putting in the time and effort into one. If you're an author who writes for other genres, an artist, an audiobook narrator, or any other creative and you would be interested in joining a similar program outside of AFF, let me know in the comments below (PMs are fine but it's really hard for me to keep track since I receive so many and I can barely answer most of them).
