vive, a boy group that debuted under dsp media all the way back in 2012 with a lukewarm response. they garnered some fanbase for the unique sound, but they were generally swallowed by the constant comebacks of groups far more popular than them. then came the member changes, the company thinking that maybe...maybe some new, fresh faces could jumpstart some more popularity.

enters nam jeonguk. definitely a fresh new face and the brand new young maknae of vive. he joins the group in 2014. he welcomed warmly into the group, but vive's popularity doesn't skyrocket like dsp media expected it too.

then they start to push jeonguk out more, promoting him and even giving him solo songs. now, there's the popularity. everyone enjoys jeonguk, or gukkie as he called more. he's a sweetheart, but an amazing performer. but to jeonguk? he just wants to be in a group again, missing his hyungs and the enjoyment they could bring together.

eventually dsp media pushing jeonguk too much into the spotlight and vive officially disbands in 2019, much to jeonguk's disappointment.

jeonguk, still with dsp media and pursuing his solo activities, decides he wants to be in a group again and joins genesis88 in hopes of getting into a group again.
