Personality. 

Innocent: Soye is really innocent and naturally cute. She’s young so she doesn’t know many things. She blushes at even the word kiss or doing more y moves makes her shy while practicing though on stage she does it fiercely then gets shy afterwards. She asks a lot of questions, sometimes without a care of if it's the right time. During shows she’ll ask like ten questions to the host to make sure she understands. She’s nosy too like looking at her members phone when they text. She isn’t very good at keeping secrets either, she would unintentionally expose her members true selves during interviews. She also likes to try new things and is down for anything that sounds fun or peeks her interest but is wary about getting in trouble. She trusts others easily and can talk to them easily too.

Polite: Soye treats everyone with respect, her parents raised her right to be polite and bow all the way when meeting people. She never addresses her members in a casual manner so if she ever got the opportunity to for 60 seconds during a variety show she would be super excited. She is also the type to clean up after people just because its the right thing to do and never seeks praise for her actions.

Enthusiastic: Soye is desperate to make it as an idol so she takes every opportunity she can to better herself. If that means taking an extra class during her already hectic schedule then she will. She doesn’t mind practicing long hours until she’s exhausted, even if she whines from muscle pain she will still do it again fully. She wants everyone to succeed so she encourages her members too. She’s still a kid so she has her moments of being immature and loud during practice but she always concentrates in the end. She’s so determined that’s why her members and their manager have to pester her to do her homework a lot of the time.

Clueless: Soye is known for being painfully slow witted. She is the person that doesn't get the joke until everyone stops laughing and she's dying on her own. Then when she doesn’t get it she’ll whine about it so her member can explain what’s happening then laughs late. Soye doesn't notice the little things in people. She’s not observant at all unless something is obvious. She isn't the type to look for hidden meanings in things because she expects it all to be straight forward. She’s very simple minded. The only time she’s attentive is when she’s on stage because she wants the performance to go well. She’s very professional on stage so if a member is struggling or falls she’ll help them with no hesitation. Whenever they mess up she’s determined to get back in the studio to try again.

Moody: Soye is usually happy but she cries easily. She’s going through puberty so sometimes she gets sassy and is annoyed over small things. She doesn’t mean it though because it’s just her hormones and she usually apologizes after being moody. Sometimes she has a really bad overthinking habit because of her past experience in the industry. She can't help to think of the worst case scenarios and gets quiet or cries about it. When she sees negative comments she’ll feel down about it and isn’t good at ignoring them. But after talking about her problems she feels better and optimistic again. It’s also why she loves being around her memebrs and trying so hard to help them. sometimes she'd let these thoughts slip out but after three years of being together her members can tell when somethings wrong because she rambles about an unrelated topic.

Dependent: Soye depends on her members a lot. She’s with them all the time and struggles to be alone because when she is she overthinks. Around them she's this playful person and can be a kid though when none of them are there she might be more quiet and sad.

Background.

Soye came from college professor parents that had her late in life. They expected an academically inclined kid because they’re both insanely smart but instead Soye was born. She preferred playing outside over reading and since her parents were older it was harder to keep up. When she started school she didn’t get good grades, her studies were quite bad actually. Her best subject was sports and she had a lot of energy so her parents put her in Chungtae Idol Academy at six hoping it would get her tired later on and help her focus more on studies. It didn’t help much though they only wanted it to be a hobby. Instead she fell in love with dancing and singing and she wanted to be an idol too.

It was around this time that her parents started arguing a lot more about many things. Her parents would get into bad fights that scared Soye. She felt like it was her fault because she wasn’t doing good in school. It didn’t take long for them to divorce and Soye stayed with her mom while her dad moved out. She was 7 then and rarely saw her parents together. A year later her dad got remarried and had another baby on the way. Soye still saw her father some weekends but felt abandoned like she wasn’t good enough to be his daughter and he didn’t love her.

That same year her idol academy went to the Dream Concert that’s held every year and Soye fell in love with Mamamoo’s Moonbyul. She never saw rapping before that, they only taught them singing and dancing at the academy since they were so young. Sure she heard it in songs but seeing it live was different, they were so cool. She had an amazing idea while watching all those idols perform that if she too became an idol her parents would come together whenever she performs to watch her and they’ll be so proud of her for making it big that they’ll get back together.

She started training in rapping at the academy too after asking them. Many companies from big to small would hold auditions at the academy to find trainees so Soye practiced hard so she could pass one. In 2016 a company called Kids Planet came for auditions at her dance academy. She tried out randomly but actually made it. Her parents were against her joining but she begged so much until they said yes. They told her they’re giving her until highschool to live out her dream and try to make it as an idol. If she doesn’t make it by her freshman year then she’ll quit and focus on school so she can get into a SNU which is where they both went too. So now Soye is determined to be famous and get her parents back together.

- The whole time she was training she still lived at home, even when she debuted in Usso Girls so if she’s chosen in Eclipse it’ll be her first time living in a dorm away from her mom

Relationships. 

Parents / Baek Woohyung and Jung Taeji / 60 and 62 / College Professors / ESTJ and INTJ / Soye’s parents go along with her dream but they’re not overly supportive. They would show up when they have time to her performances and be proud to see her on stage but they wouldn’t go the extra mile for her because honestly they are hoping she fails so she can move on and focus on school. They don’t totally shut her out since she’s their daughter and they love her though. Soye knows her parents congratulations is never whole hearted which is why she’s trying to be really famous so they can be proud. She talks to her mom more than her dad, she checks up on her often. Her dad checks on her occasionally. She doesn’t like his other family though. If her parents can’t reach her they call her manager.

Best friend / Lee Hyein / 14 / Member of Newjeans / INFP / They met in 2016 at Kids Planet. They both debuted in Usso Girl together and became best friends. They were connected at the hip, Soye’s mom was often too busy to bring her to training and performances so she slept over at Hyein’s house a lot and her mom drove her instead. They go to the same school and Hyein in Soye’s only friend. She defends her a lot too if people are mean to her. Soye tells Hyein everything and they both have the same dream to debut someday. Even though they’re not in the same company they still have sleepovers sometimes.

Trainee Life.
Soye became a trainee at Kids Planet in late 2016. She only trained for a year until she debuted in Usso Girls in November 2017. They didn’t last long they only had 1 comeback. Even if no one knew them it made her happy to perform in front of people. But then Usso Girls wasn’t very active so she left in 2018. She had limited time so she wanted to try to debut quickly and find different opportunities. She was frustrated that Usso girls wasn’t very successful so she went back to the idol academy and trained harder. Her failure was good inspiration for writing so she took classes on writing raps too. She kept auditioning for many companies that came to her academy, literally all of them, and they took long to get back to her. Dal Media was the first to reach out to her after she auditioned so she joined them quickly and has been training since early 2019. She was 11 then and one of the youngest trainees. Everyone thought she was cute but she wanted to be known as talented. When she first performed at the monthly evaluation she proved she was a force to reckon with. A true all rounder that changes when she’s on stage. Everyone still treats her as a little sister but they must admit that when she performs she transforms. She’s working extra hard to prove that she deserves to debut and so Eclipse can make a big impact.

- She drinks one of the members drinks in the refrigerator and doesn’t know that it’s actually alcohol so she gets drunk by accident
- Soye getting bullied at school and they’re laughing at her saying she won’t be a successful idol. She tells her members and they come the next day to defend her
