There's something about Yeom Narae that makes her so captivating. Through many trials and errors, Narae has perfected the way of having captured one's attention, despite not having the title of the face or even the center of the group. Intentional or not, Narae knows how to get someone's attention. It's either you like her or you don't; and Narae always makes sure you do, one way or another. Narae is the most generous person you have ever seen. She is a people person, and gets along with anyone and everyone. She lives off of other people's energy, to say the least. With Narae being friendly to basically anyone, she is a supportive person who isn't judgmental. With her extroverted nature, Narae tends to be optimistic and doesn't like to think bad things. She is always positive and thinks on the brighter side of things, playing devil's advocate the majority of the time. Narae practically lives in her own world, which makes her so inventive. She is very creative and uses her own path to come up with a solution to a problem in need. Narae has lots of ideas that are just waiting to be used.
Narae is also very tolerant of other people, she is never judgemental. She respects other people's decisions and takes that in consideration when making up her own decisions and opinions. As you can probably tell, Narae is extremely hyperactive. She is aware of her actions but doesn't always learn from them because her mind is running like a hamster wheel. She likes to be the center of attention and does the strangest things just to get a reaction out of someone.
It is no surprise that Narae is irrational. Because she is slower than others when it comes to learning, she doesn't always learn from her mistakes. She has to try and try again before she learns that her actions actually have consequences. She tends to be reckless at times. Because of how she is an on the go person, she doesn't always see what lies ahead of her, metaphorically and physically speaking. Her behavior could end up in a bad way, mentally and/or physically for her and for others. Narae has a strong tendency to be adherent. She hates the thought of being alone, and clings onto someone who will give her emotional support. This could make her very annoying at times, especially when other people around her need alone time. Speaking of emotions, Narae is finical and particular when it comes to talking about her emotions. While Narae does over explain her feelings, she doesn't want anyone to know that she has bad qualities, and would often sugarcoat her way out of talking about how she's feeling at the moment.

BACKGROUND

Yeom Narae was born on December 23rd, 2002 to a Korean father, Yeom Wonhyung and a Filipina mother, Rosa Soledad. The family of three lived in a middle class area of Seoul, South Korea.
To most people, even her own family, Narae's upbringing was normal. But for Narae herself, she found almost everyday challenging. Not only did she have trouble making friends no matter how hard she tried, but she had begun to get low grades, even in elementary school. After many evaluations, Narae was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD by the time she was six years old.
Following this, one of her symptoms was hyperactiveness, not being able to stay still even if her life depended on it. Narae had lots of obsessions and hobbies, none of which she focused on for more than a month, despite promising her parents that her said hobby wasn't going to fall through.
Dancing was not one of them. Reluctantly, her parents signed Narae up for dance classes when she was about eleven years old. Narae excelled in dance to say the least; she was very talented. She now had a passion for dancing.
Her parents were very supportive of her new found hobby, knowing that this wouldn't fall through like her other obsessions. They even encouraged her to try out for some of the entertainment companies. And so she did.
Narae auditioned for a handful of entertainment companies around town before finally getting accepted into Pledis Entertainment in late 2015.

APPEARANCE Narae is a tall girl with a babyface, looking exactly like her faceclaim. She was the last person in her friend group to have a growth spurt. Narae considers herself cute more than pretty, with her main point that complements her "cuteness" is her nose.
FASHION Narae dresses in that of a teenage girl. She likes to wear bright colors to make her stand out more. Narae would often pair sleeveless shirts with high waisted shorts and pants, as that is her favorite style at the moment. TRIVIA

　∻ Just before 16TV ended, Narae also got diagnosed with autism. As she was attending school, she realized why she was getting bullied so much due to the diagnosis.
　∻ And yes, even if she was an infamous trainee during 16TV, Narae still got bullied for it. It's one of the reasons why she will choose not to continue her education after graduating middle school just after 16TV ended.
　∻ Narae actually knows a lot more than she's letting on due to her ditzy and aloof persona. She just chooses to display her intelligence in a more inventive way than most would.
　∻ It may be surprising to some, but Narae likes to keep things to a schedule, and carries around a little planner in her backpack to help her be on top of things. Other things in her backpack include: a journal, fidget toys, stickers, snacks, whatever project she is crocheting, her crochet Sailor Moon cats, and some lipgloss.
　∻ Her handwriting is absolutely non-readable despite writing print Hangul. She cannot for the life of her read any other Hangul other than print and adjacent fonts.
　∻ Narae likes to watch Korean variety shows and dreams to be on the Knowing Bros and Weekly Idol.
　∻ Despite being born and raised in South Korea, Narae uses being half Filipino to her advantage and plays the foreign card to get out of things.
　∻ If she had to pick between a cat and a dog, she is a dog person and hopes to own a dog one day.
　∻ Her all time favorite group is Red Velvet and her bias is both Wendy and Seulgi.
　∻ Because her birthday is so close to Christmas, her family celebrated her birthday and Christmas throughout the week. Whenever Sixteen's schedules are available, they often celebrate Narae's "birthweek," as she likes to call it.
　∻ Narae has a huge fear of birds. She doesn't like that they can just swoop down at you at any possible minute.
　∻ Narae is an anime weeb. Her favorite shows are Fairytail, Sailor Moon, Pokèmon, Naruto and One Piece. She has the Sailor Moon cats that she crocheted, and brings them around with her to schedules.
　∻ Yeom Narae and cooking? The worst pair. She can't even make rice if her life depends on it. However, she does have an interest in baking and wants to try and pursue it, even if she's banned from the kitchen.
　∻ Starting in 2021, Narae will start being friends with all of the female maknaes of HYBE: fromis_9's Jiheon, Le Sserafim's Eunchae, and New Jeans' Hyein. Narae has said that she will collect all of the female HYBE maknaes just like Pokémon. The four maknaes would do an end of the year special stage in 2022.

TRAINEE YEARS 2 Years at Pledis Entertainment ︰ 1 Week prior to 16TV.
　∻ Narae knew what she was getting into when she was accepted into Pledis Entertainment. However, training was hard for her nonetheless to the point where there many nights she thought about quitting. But somehow, Narae pulled herself through those nights and made it through evaluations. It was surprising to her and others when she was announced as one of the trainees for 16TV, having only a trainee time of a week, knowing well that she wasn’t ready to showcase her talents to thousands of people nearly every week.
Before her time on 16TV, she was your average idol trainee. Narae didn’t have anything special to her; no breathtaking vocals, skilled dancer, nor an on-beat rapper. If she were to placed in a group, she would’ve been a vocalist who was in the back half of the song with one line.
But when 16TV came around, the producers wanted the girls to have units just like Seventeen: vocal, dance, and rap. Narae thought she would be placed in the dance unit at best, but was informed by the staff that she would be in the rap unit instead due to an excessive amount of dance focused trainees.
Her rapping was average, but thanks to the other rap unit trainees, she was able to rap as well as any other lead rapper would.

HEADLINES

PREDEBUT
　∻ 16TV ︰ While on 16TV, Narae preferred to showcase her personality rather than her skills. After all, she was only in the company for a week before being thrown into the program, so she had little to no skills to show off.
Though Narae originally auditioned as a dancer, but through evaluations between her and the other members, she wasn't able to secure a dance position just yet. So throughout the program, Narae was seen bouncing back and forth from rapping, singing, and dancing. When the trainees weren't training, Narae usually tried to be the center of attention. She knew that there was more to being an idol than musical talent, so Narae wanted to display her young personality as the show progressed.
By the time 16TV was nearing its end, Narae was placed in the rap team as that seemed to be her strongest suit between the three. She was fine with her position within the group, as at the end of the day Narae was finally going to debut. ︰ 2016-2018.

FUTURE ACTIVITIES
　∻ Solo Philippines Schedules ︰ To Narae's surprise, people were very excited to have the first Filipino idol to debut in Korea, even if she's Korean-Filipina. Nevertheless, a year or so after her debut, Narae would have a handful of opportunities to have some solo endorsements in the Philippines, whether that be advertisements, or just going on Filipino television shows due to her outgoing and friendly personality.
Narae would soon become a notorious celebrity in the Philippines not long after. She would soon find herself traveling to the country at least once a year as a personal schedule. ︰ 2020-202X.
　∻ Music Show MC ︰ An activity Narae would like to accomplish as an idol is to be a music show MC. In 2021, her dreams finally came true as she was announced as a Music Bank MC along with ENHYPEN's Sunghoon. She would be an MC for about a year before stepping down due to conflicts with Sixteen's schedule. ︰ 2021-2023.

MENTOR

BIRTHNAME Kim Mingyu, 김민규.
BIRTHDATE April 6th, 1997.

FIRST MEETING Mingyu and Narae have only met in passing through the company. Of course they knew of each other, but they both didn't bother with meeting each other until the show.
Whoever ended up being Narae's mentor, she wasn't ready to meet them cause the hip hop team seemed intimidating to her, especially S.Coups. She was relieved that she got Mingyu instead. It was awkward at first, but soon both of their extroverted nature came to shine shortly after the introduction.
INTERACTIONS Narae was worried at first, she thought she would be a burden to Mingyu because of her learning disabilities. She had informed Mingyu about her conditions, suggesting that he would have to talk slow and be patient. Luckily, Mingyu understood her and obliged, helping her out in anyway that he could. After the show, they were both comfortable with each other, even to go as far to drop the formalities. However, they aren't in contact with each other as much.

TRIVIA
　∻ After getting to know each other, Mingyu allows Narae to call him oppa rather than sunbae-nim.
　∻ Shortly after the show ended, the two exchanged phone numbers and Mingyu checks in with her once in a while.
　∻ They have a brother-sister-like relationship. Mingyu says Narae reminds him of his little sister who is a year older than Narae.

AFTER YEARS OF 16TV, YOU'RE FINALLY DEBUTING! HOW DOES IT FEEL?
　∻ narae looked glum when she heard 16tv and the fact that it was over Uh, fine, I guess... she told the staff, in which they encouraged her to elaborate Well, obviously I'm sad that 16TV is over, as that was my whole training experience. But, narae put on a brave face for the viewers I am very excited to finally be debuting alongside my members!

I don’t know him that well, but from what I’ve seen of him, I think he will be really fun to work with!

OCCUPATION TXT ︰ Vocalist, Dancer, Rapper, Visual, Maknae.

PERSONALITY At first glance, Heuning Kai may seems reserved and shy, but he's exactly the opposite of that. He is really energetic, he is not afraid to speak his mind. After all, he is the moodmaker of TXT. With this, he is also charismatic, and is very confident in himself and not afraid to show it. He takes time to think about a decision before making up his mind. And finally he is reliable, being able to be easily trusted. He keeps promises and can be very faithful to people that he loves.
Heuning Kai can also be ruthless, as he is very eager to get things done at the right time, almost to the point where he becomes insensitive of others. He can also get really stubborn, as it would become almost egotistical of him of not thinking of others. He gets out of his shell sometimes and becomes aggressive. This happens when people say something that makes him uncomfortable.

HISTORY Narae had known of who Heuning Kai was because Pledis is apart of Big Hit Labels now, but Sixteen and TXT never had formally met before.
It was the MAMA Awards 2019 when Heuning Kai and Narae properly met. Their groups were sitting near each other and some of the Sixteen members who knew of TXT was telling Narae that Heuning Kai was similar to her because they are both half Korean who were born in 2002, making them the maknaes of their respective groups. Thinking back, the members of TXT was probably telling Heuning Kai about Narae as well, because after the show, they both came up to each other for introductions.
They haven't seen each other since then, but they did get each other's phone numbers. The two often text each other about whatever, and sometimes even FaceTime each other when they have time. After some reflection, Narae realized that she has a crush on Heuning Kai.
She never told anyone about her realization, but it had been pretty obvious that she has a crush on him, it's just a matter of time for her to finally let out her feelings about Heuning Kai, as she has kept them to herself.

TRIVIA
　∻ Narae calls Heuning Kai, Kai-Kai, and in return, Heuning Kai calls Narae, Nat-Nat.
　∻ Both Sixteen and TXT teases their maknaes about their crushes. They call them the maknae couple.
　∻ Most nights, Narae stays up late texting Heuning Kai, much to her roommate's dismay. Sometimes an older member (usually Seunghwa) will threaten to take her phone and give it back the next day so Narae can actually go to sleep.
