APPEARANCE » She has fairly lightened hair, almost reddish brown, because the sun focuses on it whenever she is outside so it has faded to that colour permentally. Though if you ask its because she dyed it. Only has her ears pierced on the lobe. She cuts her hair short to keep it out of her face, and likes to plait it in two, one on either side.

Daehyun is ridiculously smart, she likes to learn and has a massive passion for exploring things that she doesn't quite know about until she knows everything avalible on the subject/topic. She wishes secretly that she had the power of being all-knowing, but believes that it will also her downfall if she had that power and therefore keeps that as one of her darkest secrets as her family raised to not be greedy and yet she feels a compulsive need to have more [knowledge].
She likes to look after things too, is very gentle and doesn't like people getting hurt unnecessarily. She also believes that as someone who can do things for herself she is required to help out others doing things, and is most likely to help around the house and make sure others aren't straining themselves unnecessarily.
She's also a great listener and doesn't mind if people just vent around her, she doesn't care what they think and trys to never let herself be biased towards anyone (well except for Kai, and her family). Though she isn't perfect and does start getting angry at whomever is being vented about, particularly if they are said to have done something bad towards someone close to her. She says she regrets it when asked about her words, but often doesn't unless she was really angry and out of line, when she isn't thinking straight and is binded by the opinion.
Daehyun is also very forgetful, she constantly forgets dates, keys, cards and little miscellaneous objects, particularly when she is in a rush. BACKGROUND »
Daehyun was born in January of 1993, to a fairly happy couple whom were overjoyed by having their first child. Well thats what most people thought.
Her father had hoped for a boy, an heir to his name and legacy, but was given a female child as the first born. Call it archaic, but thats what he believed. He saw it a bad fortune and since didn't really want all too much to do with baby Daehyun, and very little to do with Yewon the source of his problems.
She grew up fairly happy though, she was told to give and not receive, to be kind to others because good things will happen to you. But when she was very young, four or five, she did discover her abilities. At first they were small, harmless things like healing faster under the sun or not getting sunburnt. She thought they were odd, but didn't bother tell anyone really, not thinking it too important and focused on learning and making friends.
At the age of six, she finally became a sister to a little girl named Hyelin. She was small, premature and pale, and cried an awful lot. Daehyun did feel a little jealous about the attention that Hyelin received from her mother, and was a bit of a green eyed monster around her until Yewon confronted her and told her she 'didn't need to worry, mummy loves you both equally. But you're a big girl Daehyun, and Hyelin's just a baby, we've got to help her because she can't do things like both of us.'
It eventually got through to her, give or take a few little tanturms, and Daehyun grew rather fond of the little child and started to teach her things she knew, talked to her even though she didn't really know what Hyelin was saying back and bonded with her.
School to Daehyun was fun, well everything to learn about was fun until things started to get to be a little boring, they weren't teaching enough or they were teaching the same things. She got frustrated with it and started to go to the library and read books after book about anything and just used class time to make sure she got everything correct.
'The Nightlight Incident' - Daehyun had just turned eight and could make little balls of harmless light, used for the soul purpose of making a cool nightlight for Hyelin (whom she shared a room with at the time), and just for entertainment. Her father, Minhyun, arrived home several hours after work to their home, drunk and smelling like cigarettes, their mother having just left for a shift at the hospital.
He proceeded to go upstairs and past the girls' room, where Daehyun was still awake, moving back to her bed, when he saw her and pulled her out of the room. Daehyun, by this time, had basically exhausted her ability to create ball of energy and was ready to collapse, was given a talking to by her father, whom just ranted on about how he hated how she was a girl ect. (you get the point, just really abusive words). Until of course he let her go back to her room, slapping her wrist rather hard and fracturing it, and then letting her go to sleep, the words repeating in her head over and over.
It was rather tramatic for her, she was eight and every word said by her parents to her meant a lot. (as they do for children.) And so she constantly re-lives that night, though it now does have a different feeling to the memory, she feels angry and hatred towards him, but does still feel rather hurt about the words. (/what he said can be left up to you./)
Yewon and Minhyun divorced when Daehyun was eight, half a year after the nightlight incident, after another set of harsh words said to Daehyun by Minhyun, when she was asked to help him alone, and getting caught cheating on Yewon.
Yewon remarried to Fuhua when Daehyun was twelve, three years after the divorce of her and her first husband, marrying Xiao Fuhua, a Chinese businessman living in Singapore. That's when they made the collective decision to wipe themselves of Minhyun and change their last names to Xiao as well.
Around middle school, Daehyun was learning more and more about her abilites, and keeping them just a secret to herself, Hyelin forgetting occasionally over the years, when one day she just vented about school and how she hated it how the teachers kept restricting her from speaking Korean in class (/how rude/), when her powers just overloaded and caused a small fire in the rooftop garden of her home. She was scared and blamed it on a lantern that was on the roof, telling herself to never use her powers again, scared of what they could do.
However she eventually musted up the courage to use them again after she met one of her close friends, a deeply religious, Wang Jia-Xing, where she learnt about how she abstained herself from things that she couldn't do or have because of her religion. She learnt how to basically control herself, that her powers were made to be feared, that she should know how to control them. Deep down she does wish that she will stop thinking of them like that, but for now thats what she'd decided.
After she graduated high school, she got a place in the Seoul National University to study Veterinary Medicine, while having a part-time job as barista at the same cafe as Kyungmi. She lives in the house bought by her mother and step-father (as accomodation for Daehyun, but also as a holiday home for the family to visit.) While she does get lonely, Kyungmi comes over often to try and keep her company. Or she has a thousand chores to do to keep the house clean.

At the age of six, she finally became a sister to a little girl named Hyelin. She was small, premature and pale, and cried an awful lot. Daehyun did feel a little jealous about the attention that Hyelin received from her mother, and was a bit of a green eyed monster around her until Yewon confronted her and told her she 'didn't need to worry, mummy loves you both equally. But you're a big girl Daehyun, and Hyelin's just a baby, we've got to help her because she can't do things like both of us.'
It eventually got through to her, give or take a few little tanturms, and Daehyun grew rather fond of the little child and started to teach her things she knew, talked to her even though she didn't really know what Hyelin was saying back and bonded with her.
School to Daehyun was fun, well everything to learn about was fun until things started to get to be a little boring, they weren't teaching enough or they were teaching the same things. She got frustrated with it and started to go to the library and read books after book about anything and just used class time to make sure she got everything correct.
'The Nightlight Incident' - Daehyun had just turned eight and could make little balls of harmless light, used for the soul purpose of making a cool nightlight for Hyelin (whom she shared a room with at the time), and just for entertainment. Her father, Minhyun, arrived home several hours after work to their home, drunk and smelling like cigarettes, their mother having just left for a shift at the hospital.
He proceeded to go upstairs and past the girls' room, where Daehyun was still awake, moving back to her bed, when he saw her and pulled her out of the room. Daehyun, by this time, had basically exhausted her ability to create ball of energy and was ready to collapse, was given a talking to by her father, whom just ranted on about how he hated how she was a girl ect. (you get the point, just really abusive words). Until of course he let her go back to her room, slapping her wrist rather hard and fracturing it, and then letting her go to sleep, the words repeating in her head over and over.
It was rather tramatic for her, she was eight and every word said by her parents to her meant a lot. (as they do for children.) And so she constantly re-lives that night, though it now does have a different feeling to the memory, she feels angry and hatred towards him, but does still feel rather hurt about the words. (/what he said can be left up to you./)
Yewon and Minhyun divorced when Daehyun was eight, half a year after the nightlight incident, after another set of harsh words said to Daehyun by Minhyun, when she was asked to help him alone, and getting caught cheating on Yewon.
Yewon remarried to Fuhua when Daehyun was twelve, three years after the divorce of her and her first husband, marrying Xiao Fuhua, a Chinese businessman living in Singapore. That's when they made the collective decision to wipe themselves of Minhyun and change their last names to Xiao as well.
Around middle school, Daehyun was learning more and more about her abilites, and keeping them just a secret to herself, Hyelin forgetting occasionally over the years, when one day she just vented about school and how she hated it how the teachers kept restricting her from speaking Korean in class (/how rude/), when her powers just overloaded and caused a small fire in the rooftop garden of her home. She was scared and blamed it on a lantern that was on the roof, telling herself to never use her powers again, scared of what they could do.
However she eventually musted up the courage to use them again after she met one of her close friends, a deeply religious, Wang Jia-Xing, where she learnt about how she abstained herself from things that she couldn't do or have because of her religion. She learnt how to basically control herself, that her powers were made to be feared, that she should know how to control them. Deep down she does wish that she will stop thinking of them like that, but for now thats what she'd decided.
After she graduated high school, she got a place in the Seoul National University to study Veterinary Medicine, while having a part-time job as barista at the same cafe as Kyungmi. She lives in the house bought by her mother and step-father (as accomodation for Daehyun, but also as a holiday home for the family to visit.) While she does get lonely, Kyungmi comes over often to try and keep her company. Or she has a thousand chores to do to keep the house clean.

Kyungmi likes nighttime the best and prefers shade over the sun; she smokes and drinks like nobodies business, and she is brash and reckless. But Daehyun loves to be near her, she sees Kyungmi as someone she could've been if she wasn't so afraid of herself, if she wasn't afraid that she would burn someone.
They like to talk, especially after Kyungmi gets out of her shift as barista at a cafe in the city, where they just go back to her apartment in Yeonnam-dong and do whatever they like until they either fall asleep, go out, or Daehyun goes home.
But they work, they are close and do fight like friends, but find ways to patch it up eventually.

↠Her eyes turn a slight golden amber colour when she is fully using her powers to the max, but she keeps her normal eyes colour in any other instance.
↠ Her hair is lightened (to a lighter brownish reddish colour) by the sun constantly shining on it.
↠ Her skin isn't really tanned though, fairly pale because she can't tan or get sunburnt. If she trys hard enough, she can make her skin ignite and turn into solar energy when shes under direct sunlight.
↠ Her body is always slightly hotter than a normal persons, but not burning to touch (she to sleep with on hot nights if you are not Chanyeol, who probably likes the warmth).
↠ Her power is the strongest when the sun is up, stronger when she is under direct sunlight and the weakest at night or without sunlight. Her body absorbs solar energy and stores it to use when there is no sunlight (at night), but she can't absorb too much otherwise it can burn her brain out or seriously hurt her.
↠ At night if she exhausts her power supply (absorbed energy), and she cannot recharge, she will become very dizzy and will collapse until she is either healed by someone else or by the sun, or until she dies from lack of solar energy in her body.

When she is without a energy source, she has a power supply that is naturally refilled under (direct) sunlight. Around large groups and a lot of people he isn't close with, Kai is showy, he's flirty and y. He is charming around people, however doesn't like to speak anymore than he needs to around these types of people that he isn't close to or doesn't know
The sweet side of Jongin is really where all the heart-warming goodness is at. He fawns over his pet dogs, and just cute animals in general, and is absolutely devoted to them and loves them to bits.
Looking closely at Jongin’s personality around people he likes and are close with, you can see how caring and sensitive he is. He gets completely overwhelmed by his emotions when he’s worked hard for something and feels grateful, that his hard-work has paid off. Jongin is extremely kind-hearted and loving, though he doesn’t always express it through words, but in actions and thoughts.

Which means he doesn't bottle things up and remain quiet about them, he'll confront them and talk about them. He's very upfront about his feelings and emotions, and can't hide anything.
Though he doesn't claim to speak well, but what he says is usually well phrased and thoughtful. He doesn't like bullying and discrimination, particularly by anyone and will speak up about it. He doesn't mind that he has a darker skin tone, he loves himself and doesn't care what he looks like. He wants everyone to love themselves and he's non-plussed about things like burping ect. And is a little envious of people (couples) with great love between them.
Though he is a little prone to admiring himself in the mirror.
He isn't very picky and values personality over anything else in all his relationships (platonic and romantic).
In a relationship, he is respectful but also endearingly insecure, wanting to be the one to make you happy no matter what, but while he is both of those, hes definitely is romantic and often is the one who ignites the ual frustration between them, but is loyal to no ends. He is one to completely choose his partner over someone else and is someone you'd trust your life to.
Though while he has many great parts about his personality, he has a huge jealousy streak and he isn't the cleanest person, though not the worst either. He likes to sleep a whole lot and most of the time is typically walking around half-asleep after waking up from a nap, he's the type of person who can and will sleep anywhere.
And he is impatient about things, he likes to get what he wants quickly and get to places quickly. Its very fast paced, more so than what Daehyun is used to, as he can teleport himself to places and get them done faster. It does cause Daehyun to get frustrated with him, and often tells him to slow down.

OUTCOME » I'd like to see some sort of neutral, leaning towards happy ending in my fictional world. But if they end up breaking up and fighting, then do that if it fits the story.
If it turns out being happy, as much as I'd like to think that she'd come back to Earth. If she likes it there, she'd stay there instead because she doesn't really talk to family and hasn't got a whole lot of friends. She'd also think it'd be safer away from them [her friends and family].
I guess she'd just keep going, continue on with life, maybe just adjust to living with Kai and there with him. But she'd be happy because she'd be able to use her powers more openly and learn to control them better.
