Soft brown curls,  sharp jawline  and very expressive eyes are the things  you can instantly notice about the girl named Kang Ji Hye. Her big brown orbs sets her different from the rest, because it expresses fire, authority and seriousness. Standing 5 foot 7 inches, she prods her milky white skin and long thin 'model-like' legs which she inherited from her mother. Jen had a tattoo,  a musical note with an f-clef above, on her nape to show how much she loves music so much. She also had double piercings on her right ear, and one on her navel.

Jen is no "Glam Chic" for nothing. She always makes sure that wherever she goes, she is neat and fabulous. Of course just like what most of the girls do, she dresses up to accentuate her features more. Her fashion accessory must-have is a specs or glasses because she doesn't want to hurt her eyes, since she somehow had a trauma regarding it. With black as her favorite color, her wardrobe is more of that colors; following suit are white and gray. Even though she is already tall for a female, she loves wearing heels; stilletos, pumps, wedges, whatever you call them-- she has all of that.

If there will be a word to describe Kang Ji Hye, it would be 'responsible'. In everything, she feels like she's always the person who is obligated to do things and be blamed if those things fail. Maybe because she's a noona to her twin brothers, and her parents weren't always around. Jen is aware of the prize of the tasks she always do during trainings, so it pushes her harder to work. Whenever their trainer asks her to compose a song, she always does it without side comments and finishes it in a haste. In everything she does, she always put her mind onto that and that's what makes her succeed.  Her determination is impeccable. One time, she was asked to do three songs with a deadline of 48 hours. Of course at first she was shocked, but since she loves the task assigned to her, she had done it, and even received a smile from Mr. Yang.

Even if she's busy with her trainings, Jen never forgets to call her brothers on a weekly basis just to ask them if they are well, and if they already have girlfriends.  She loves taking care of people and even dreamt of being a social volunteer back when she hasn't learned what her ambition really is. Even to her co-trainees, she shows her affection. After practices she always bring bottles of orange juice with her and hands those to them. Jen also loves skinship very well; hugging her co-trainees whenever they succeed a certain task,  and even kissing her younger brothers on their cheeks, to which the boys freak out the most. Name it, she does it.

Although she's petite, her voice is no joke. Jen is also synonymous to being loud at everything she does, won't just shut up. She shouts at simple things, screams loudly at frightening cockroaches, at sings off-tunely. This loudness comes also in a different way. Sometimes, she spills out things that are out of the world, even secrets. She just cannot control on when to and not to speak. You guess it-- her mind has another mouth of its own. This is why she  almost had a fight with her classmate when she was still in middle school.  Her brothers really appreciate it if you give her packing tapes.

Not that she's too obssesive-compulsive, Jen just doesn't like it when: a) the lyrics aren't getting through her mind; b) her co-trainees aren't synched nor cooperating; or c) she doesn't perform good. For her perfection is a must that's why she striving for it. Everything should be flawless; that's the only way they would be allowed to debut. In short, she loves 100 out of 100 very much.

— what's past is prologue

Born at the 8th of July 1994, Kang Ji Hye was born at some hospital near the markert at Gwangju, since her mother was doing groceries when Ji Hye decided to come out. After her mother conceived her, her father decided to bring his family to Incheon because of work purposes. This is why she never had any heavy accent when she talks. Her mother has a restaurant of her own, selling meat cutlets and other meat dishes; while her father works as a manager of an industrial factory specializing in silicons. Growing up, she became aware of her mother's job. That's why every after school she heads straight to their restaurant to helpout. Her family wasn't poor nor rich, they are just well off-- in the middles. That's why when she learned a thing for fashion, her parents were supporting her. She was kinda distant to other people, until her little twin siblings came out from her mother's womb. She loved taking care of them and making them happy. Sometimes she's responsible for her siblings since her parents were not home.

Ji Hye's love for music started when she was still in middle school, when her music teacher made them listen to Stravinsky's Petrushka. It seemed like the whole song talked to her and took her to another dimension. Back then, it was only classical music she loved; even signing up for a violin class. But as the years follow, she became more aware of how diverse it is. Her interest to be an idol though, started when she accidentally changed the channel of the TV; she was supposed to watch Ed, Edd n Eddy, but it showed a music video of Epik High entitled Fly instead. She became interested with rapping, or as what she call 'with tune poem reciting'.  Ji Hye now dreams of being one of the best lyricist and rapper just like Epik High's Tablo. "Someday I'll be able to do it."

how long have they been training? — 4 years
summary of their training so far —

4 years. It has been long journery for someone like Kang Ji Hye. Ever since she passed the YG auditions 4 years ago, it seems like nothing happened; she thought that she will be an idol in just a snap, but of course, she is wrong. Everyday she will wake up at 6 am, take a 10 minute jog, take a bath, and go straight to the practice room, wherein she'll dance, rap, sing, compose, and write lyrics until her voice becomes hoarse.  Her sleeps weren't normal at all, she rarely experiences a full eight hour sleep which only happens during days offs. She cannot even visit her family at Incheon, which is just close to Seoul. Yet even if these times are hard, Ji Hye still never loses hope. "Someday I'll be able to do it."

wHaT are their aspirations? — She wants to be a known and respected idol-rapper like Tablo, to be able to create songs that will not only make the fans go 'lss', but to touch their hearts because of their meanings.  

what kind of concept would they like? — Cute concept is a no no. Swag concept is a yes yes. y concept is still 50-50. Somehow I want them to be like  2NE1's Crush and Lonely, since their a YG group. But I also like,  f(x) songs to them.
