HIDE & SEEK
HEIGHT + WEIGHT. 164cm + 49kg
FACECLAIM.  Lee Chaeeun
BACKUP.  Lee Sungkyung

APPEARANCE. From far away, Liqiu appears quite tall with those long, slim dancer legs of hers, but this girl actually stands at 160cm and weights 44kg. As a dancer and an avid exerciser, she is very proud to say that she has a rounded, easy to spot and a set of strong abdominal muscles. She doesn't have a large bust but she doesn't mind since she claims it's better for her to squeeze into sports bras and leotards. Although Liqiu is on the thin side she gains weight easily, so she has to keep careful watch of the amount of food she consumes in order to keep her tiny size 2 frame. Liqiu has slightly darker creamy skin, but fair enough for the typical Asian standards. Her round face is often described as sweet looking and her full, plump lips easily form into a pout, though she can be seen with a smile. Perhaps the most noticeable feature of hers is her almond shaped eyes, single lidded, surrounded by dark lashes. Liqiu is quite proud of her arched eyebrows, though she sadly admits that once in a while she gets them done. She has dark brown hair that falls to the middle of the back and always seems to be in loose curls or natural waves. During dance practices and at the dorms however, she twists it into a bun, ponytail, or braids.

STYLE. Liqiu has a very polished, somewhat vintage style with a hint of girliness in it. her clothes mainly consist of flowy skirts, floral dresses, lacy blouses, and tights, with her shoes being oxfords, high wedge boots, and flats. She adores sneaker wedges as well and tries to wear them whenever she can with her vintage outfits and practices. Liqiu isn't one to wear bright, flashy colors and prefers the more darker, solid colors. It's not like she's trying to be the most fashionable, although she does like being dressed to impress. However, this doesn't mean she dislikes dressing sloppily. As a dancer, Liqiu is also always spotted wearing a loose cropped top over a colored sports bra (if she does wear bright colors, it's her sports bras) and fitted leggings. In the dorms, she tends to relax in a pair of yoga pants or sweat pants, as she hates being confined in jeans (pants are okay with her, she just hates denim).

I'M SO BAD

PERSONALITY TRAITS.
(+) individualistic, liberal, whimsical
(–) doubtful, impatient, outspoken

PERSONALITY.
Upon the first glance, Liqiu radiates the aura and elegance of a ballet dancer. This appearance hides her true personality, the girl who always has her head in the clouds and a mouth that works faster than her curious mind. A noticeable thing about Liqiu is that she always has questions for any situation, as everything is fascinating to her and her active imagination. She will not stop until she has answers to all of the mysteries in life. Sometimes her constant talking can drive people insane, but she proves to be an efficient public speaker. She is comfortable standing in front of a large crowd and speaking without a trace of awkwardness. She is also the kind of person who expresses what's on her mind without hesitation, and is very open in terms of her thoughts and emotions. As a result, Liqiu is incredibly extroverted and treats everyone as if she's known them forever. She most definitely would be the one who does the talking and barely the listening. However, her barrage of wild questioning can spark irritation among others, as she usually tends to interrupt when they're in the middle of talking.

Liqiu lives with freedom and ease, and because of this she hates sticking to rules and the conformity of things. Some may say she's fun loving, others might say she's too carefree. Liqiu has a very humanistic way of viewing the world and strongly believes everyone has a right to decide their own future. If anyone argues with her, she won't hesitate to defend herself. Liqiu does slightly lack the ability to accept others' different views but that doesn't mean she squashes them completely, instead taking it to her mind in order to broaden it. Liqiu is horribly impatient and has a very low tolerance for waiting because she wants things fast and quick. In fact, she can even express impatience with her dance training, but if someone can soothe her down she calms down and reminds herself that patience would bring her success. While Liqiu is confident in her dancing and acting skills, she sometimes often doubts her own abilities, and needs to be reassured by others. Liqiu easily overlooks the flaws of others due to her sweet nature, but she believes her own imperfections are unforgiveable. She is never satisfied with "good enough," and pushes herself to gain "perfection.

To her, friends are supposed to be people who don't get easily -hurt by her comments, which makes her comfortable around them. She enjoys the company of others, as she can share the many things she wants to say. When it comes to trust, Liqiu takes the issue very seriously and she doesn't spread her trust around like cheap margarine, despite her friendly manner. If someone does break that trust, she drops you as a friend without hesitation, and won't take you back until you actually drop down to the knees and beg for her forgiveness.

LIKES.
+ gummy worms ; a childhood candy she'll never get tired of because they're so chewy and she likes both sour and sweet

+ ballerina stereotypes ; no, ballerinas don't just twirl and jump around, there's much more to it than that

+ her role model is ballet dancer Misty Copeland, since she became such a brilliant dancer despite her late start in dance

+ because of her short hip hop training, it is her weakest dance style but still excels at following and picking up the choreography
+ the first time Liqiu met Jiyong, she performed a sleight of hand trick where she took his watch and hat without him noticing
+ she is the proud mother owner of three kittens and likes to bring them to dance practices, much to the others' dismay: from L to R - Opal (f), Meelo (m), and Lani (f)
+ she made a list of 50 things she would do in her life: the first is to perform in the Bolshoi theatre in Russia, the second to love someone as much as she loves dance and third is to have a strong group of friends with her until the day she died
+ she has a huge celebrity crush on the Japanese figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu and even has a huge poster on him taped on her closet doors, which results in a not so pleased Daisuke
+ she's taken a picture of every staff member of DM and Virgo member and pinned the Polaroids on her bulletin board hanging above her desk
+ when the group is going through moments of stress, she writes little post-it notes of encouragement and sticks it everywhere - in the hallways, on their room doors, on the fridge door, even on the bathroom mirrors
+ her favorite color is periwinkle and often gets upset if people simply refer it as "purple" [Liqiu - it's not purple, it's periwinkle!] [Jiyong - what's the difference?]
+ not a fan of alcohol since she thinks it's bitter and avoids it as much as possible

BACKGROUND.
Entertainment runs through the blood of the Wong family. It all began on an summer evening at the San Francisco ballet company, where the young choreographer American born Wong Dawei (or David, as he preferred to be called), was a teacher for the ballet class. This was the class Nakajima Momoka, a guest dancer from Japan, happened to attend. She immediately caught Dawei's attention and interest, as she was one of the main principal dancers, but they didn't begin dating until a few months later. Since both were in their early twenties and at the peak of their careers, they decided to settle down later in their late twenties. During that period, Momoka raised to fame and became one of the top dancers in the world. Thus, Liqiu and her siblings would be born into a famly with high expectations and success.

Liqiu arrived on a windy autumn morning, and was named after the season she was born on. She already had a two year old sister, Lixia, and would later have a brother three years younger in the future. By the time of her daughters' births, Momoka had already decided that they would both follow her footsteps and become dancers, no question asked. The Wong sisters were immediately placed in ballet classes the moment they could walk and brought to their mother's performances so they could see how "beautiful she was." While Lixia was less happy about attending, Liqiu loved it. She loved how opposite ballet was; one piece could be slow and elegant, the other quick and precise. She inherited her parents' passion to dance and showed off natural skill, and as she grew up, she begged her parents to sign her up for more dances, this time in various styles.

After spending seven years in California, Momoka wished to return to her hometown of Kofu in Japan. Wanting to please his wife, Dawei decided to move the family to Kofu. Starting a new life in Japan wasn't hard for Liqiu, since she knew the language, but she had to learn how to adjust to the new school system. It became another drab thing to add to her schedule, and the only thing that could make her day brighter was dance. Momoka had opened her own studio in their town, so when Liqiu was twelve she started helping out her mother after school teaching the little ones. However, her parents encouraged Liqiu to join other activites besides dancing, and she found herself immensely enjoying the drama club at her school. She starred in many of the plays and musicals, quickly earning the title as an outstanding performer. As Liqiu grew older, she began thinking what she wanted to do in the future. She knew that pursuing a career in dance was risky, since it was impossible to determine how successful she'd be, but she loved dancing and performing was the only thing she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Liqiu's parents were incredibly supportive and were secretly happy that their youngest daughter was following them.

At the age of eighteen, Liqiu went on an exchange summer program to Seoul for six weeks (June 2012). Since she wanted to continue dancing during her stay, her host parents searched for a nearby dance studio, which happened to be Jiae's. Liqiu signed up for classes, and Jiae was impressed with the girl's versatility in dance and how smoothly she could switch between styles. Jiae did notice Liqiu's weakness in hip hop, but was nonetheless amazed. She offered Liqiu a spot on her dance group, Virgo, but the latter rejected because she was only in Seoul for the summer. However, after a long and serious discussion, Liqiu's parents allowed her to move to Seoul alone, since they could sense a potential future with Virgo. Liqiu adored the Virgo members, who treated her like a sister and helped her whenever she needed it. She was unsure when Jiyong took over the dance group, but since her fellow members seemed fine with it, she went along. YG/DM provided strong dance training, and Liqiu was grateful because she improved greatly from it.

HOW YOU MET. Liqiu already met Daisuke when Jiyong introduced the girls to the DM staff, but it was only a brief hello and a polite smile, nothing else, so that doesn't count as a first meeting. Remember how Liqiu likes to bring her cats to dance practice? Well one day Liqiu decided to take Opal along and show her off to the other girls, who absolutely adored the kitten. Daisuke happened to be passing through the dance rooms and heard a tiny 'meow' coming from inside. This man, being an insane cat lover, immediately entered the room demanding where the sound came from and saw Opal in Liqiu's arms. He was allowed to hold the kitten and play with her until Virgo was done practicing. After the practice, Daisuke took the opportunity to get to know Liqiu personally. At first, it was purely to see her cats, but after passing the acquaintance border, he became more interested in the cats' owner.

INTERACTIONS.
+ The first thing you'll notice is that they almost always converse in Japanese, unless Jiyong forces them to speak in Korean [Jiyong - come on guys, we won't know whether you're making fun of us or not!] At first, most of their conversations were reminiscing their childhood in Japan, but it has now expanded to other subjects. With Daisuke being three years older than Liqiu, she is very polite to him and addresses him as 'Sato-sensei,' (being the DM Japanese teacher) though he often tells her to address him by his first name. Even though he's known her for a short while, Daisuke fell hard for her childish yet whimsical personality. If you look closer, you can see a light tinge of pink spreading over Daisuke's face whenever Liqiu smiles or waves at him. If Liqiu has the time, he usually asks her out for 'a friendly lunch' or she invites him over to see her kittens.

+ Eventually, Daisuke plucks up the courage to formally ask Liqiu out. While she agrees, she doesn't want to make the relationship official, but rather a thing since she isn't quite ready for a boyfriend. She just brings so much fluttery feelings to him and he never wants to let her go. Daisuke likes to say he's selfish by keeping Liqiu in his arms almost constantly, but he respects her boundaries as well and only touches her only when she initiates it. It isn't strange to see her lying on the couch with her head on his shoulder as they engage in an intense game on their phones or her hand slowly creeping over to his.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS. hesitant crushes, with Daisuke pursuing her + she decides to end things and remain friends because she wants to focus on Virgo

BACKUPS. Cho Kiwoong, Kim Jonghyun, Mark Tuan

GOODBYE, OK
COMMENTS. Gah I just love this applyfic so much because I'm a dancer myself and it makes me so happy~
This a new character personality so I'm expecting for it to have mistakes, since it's still rough and quite undeveloped

SUGGESTIONS.
+ Virgo - x x x x
+ Weekly Idol with the girls teaching the hosts various dance styles, like Liqiu teaching them ballet moves
+ Hello Baby because the girls would probably want to show the kid how to dance (or better yet, the kid is a dancer and the whole group has to create a dance and perform it together by the end of the series)
+ Daisuke tells Liqiu he loves her by saying "daisuki," but she just thinks he keeps saying his name repeatedly and stares at him in confusion

PASSWORD. "Every time I dance, I turn into a better version of myself."
