For Her (a poem)

For her

stop and knock, for
her hum will beckon
enter in, alarm clock
she waits, slowed for a second

anticipate her smile
now this one's yours
only look a short while
those thoughts are flawed
here she's back from where
ever she has been
resist brushing back her hair
she doesn't want to be seen

handle her with care
envelope her in your arms,
repair her, promise her: "i'd never cause you harm"

(side note that, no I did not write this for anyone in particular and I am straight, though I have no prejudice against same couples. I actually wrote this whilst thinking of one of Eddy Kim's songs, though I think that song was meant to be happy?)
