Hayato Rin Rin Teaser

The sun was just coming up, with the scent of the fresh morning air. The fog was starting to evaporate from the morning sun, but hung low to the ground. Covering the grass in a sweet dew. All of the water would be gone by sunrise, as the autumn heat was slowly building. The sounds of wheels could be heard on tile in the house as Hayato was read to leave. Her bags packed, with some of her belongings being sent to the dorm in Korea. The flight from Japan to Korea was around 5 hours, or that's what she thought. Her shirt had Hello Kitty on it as a pirate, sitting on an anchor. Wearing matching blue sorts, she had some plain black vans on. At the door was her mother and father were at the door, watching her baby girl leave.

"Are you ready to leave?" Her mother asked, about ready to cry.

"Yes mom. I'll be okay." Hayato said with a smile, hugging her mother as it was the final goodbye. Until she came back for holidays and such. Her father had carried the bags into the truck, putting them in the back. This was an attempt to speed up the leaving process. This way his wife would not end up crying, nor would his daughter. They were both proud of her, knowing she was going to go far.  With a honk of the horn, it was time to leave.

"Come on Honey, it's time to leave." Her father said, honking the horn to emphasize his point. With that, Hayato left her mother and got into the passenger seat. The truck drove off as her mother was left in tears. These tears were tears of joy, knowing her daughter was leaving to start a brand new part of her life. A wonderful part. Filled with all new experiences, the world was at her daughter's fingertips.

"Okay." Hayato's father said, sighing some as he looked at his daughter with a smile. "You have your boarding pass. All of your luggage is checked in. You have money for the bus or a cab to get to the college. You have all of your paper work. Know what you are missing?" Her father asked.

"No? What am I missing?" Hayato asked her father. She had a mental and physical check list. He covered everything. Unless she had somehow missed something.

"A goodbye hug from your father." He said, hugging his now smiling daughter. Tears were gathering in her eyes as he wiped them with his thumbs. "Now listen to me. You're going to do great and have a wonderful time. You'll make amazing friends and you all with have a wonderful time. Be safe, be smart. Use common sense. Don't let anything mess up your life. Okay?" He was giving his final fatherly prep talk. "Oh, and you can call us whenever you need too. Remember, we are still your parents. We are still here for you." He added with a smile. With a nod Hayato then smiled to her father.

"I promise I will." Hayato said. With a final hug, she left. Walking down the crowded hall of the airport to the terminal, then to her gate. Within moments she faded into the massive crowd. As if fading from her parent's life. She was gone, and going to new experiences. Whether it was for the better or worse. Either way, she would make the best of it and have fun along the way.
