    ➳ Meanhee / since she's such a smartass, people often misunderstand her as cocky and looking down on them. She doesn't really understand why people get so mad at her whenever she points out their grammatical errors (and many other kinds of mistakes, really). To her, she is just kindly pointing their mistakes out so they won't repeat them. why does everyone have to get so mad about that?

APPEARANCE ) Minhee has long, light brown (almost red in the sun) hair that she likes to braid in many different ways. but when she's doing something serious, she ties into into a tight top bun (or tight ponytail) because she says it makes it easier for her to concentrate. she has a fair, milky complexion, and prefers to go bare faced. to her, make up is a lie. besides, why would you put weird chemicals all over your face? when any of the other trapped girl try to put make up on her, she freaks out. it's pretty comical to watch, actually. she has a squarish-roundish face and a sharp nose. she has a small mouth and it - very rarely - stretches out into a wide, dazzling smile. and when she smiles, her eyes crinkle up at the corners and her cheeks look absolutely pinchable. She's short but she has never let people's comments about her height or slight chubbiness get to her. she has eye bags under her eyes but it looks rather cute, like the kind that babies have. despite her undeniable cuteness, she always wears a serious/expressionless face. people think it makes her look smug.

  36. STYLE ) since she's such a smartypants, people would expect Minhee to be someone who prefers to be the practical dresser. Wear thick clothes when it's cold, thin clothes when it's hot, and keep your hair tied in the least distractive way possible. Well, this girl ain't your typical nerd. she's got fashion sense. but being the smartass she is, she doesn't care for materialistic things like brands. she goes for quality, and whatever clothes happen to suit her taste. if they happen to be branded, she's look for something cheaper that was similar. good money shouldn't be wasted on clothes just because someone's name is written on the tag. that being said, she doesn't exactly spend too much time deciding what to wear. she just throws on whatever she thinks looks nice and effortlessly pulls off a laid back, street-style look. and when it comes to clothes for Minhee, comfort is priority. no itchy heavy fabric or toe pinching high heels.

  48. Choi Minhee is a smartass. At the young age of 16, she has already pretty much mastered 5 languages (and is still learning more). She's very technical, and cannot take nonsensical lame jokes. especially dirty ones. she can go on and on about the illogical dirty jokes that incheon makes. she's the type to consider all possible theories before reaching a hypothesis on something at hand. the others go crazy whenever she insists on spending time deciding even their seating positions. but she can be usefull when planning how to get in somewhere without being seen.
  49. she's innocent in the sense that she's extremely dense. if she felt her heart racing when someone made eye contact with her, she's openly tell the guy, "please don't look me in the eye, i'm not too sure why but it gives me palpitation". also, if someone drops hints that he likes her, she won't get it. even if it's really direct. she's that slow. she also doesn't really understand ual stuff so it can get really awkward if their at a shop and pass by 'naughty toys' 'cause she'd be all, "what's that for?". 
  50. she's also kind even though many people think that she's stuck-up. she's the opposite of Busan in this case. which is why she reprimands Busan a lot as if she's Busan's mother. it's always funny to see her scolding Busan since she's only 16. she would stop to help a blind man crossing the road or someone who dropped her groceries, even if they were in the middle of doing something important.
  51. she's a bit of an introvert in the sense that she prefers to sit down and play/listen to music or read a book or draw or - get this - study, rather than talk/gossip/wtv with the others. which is why it's a surprise whenever she voluntarily does something with anyone. like go to the shop. but she'd pick sitting at home, sipping her cup of earl grey tea rather than going to one of those noisy parties. which is probbly why she's known to be anti-social (and also why she still has a clean mind xD).
  52. she's loud. literally. not as in she makes a lot of noise. she's just loud. everything about her is loud. her voice sounds as if she swallowed a microphone, her clothes are usually loud, hip-hop street-style, even the way she walks is loud. never bring her on silent ambushes. unless she learns to be quiet.
  53. she can get pretty annoying. she corrects every little thing. it drives people nuts. so she tries to shut up most of the time but then people say she's anti-social. so sometimes she doesn't care and goes ahead giving her two-bits on whatever anyone's talking about. 
  54. because of her pokerface and introverted nature, people look at her as someone who's hard to approach. it's as if there's this hostile aura surrounding her. but who knows? maybe someone can change that aura someday ;) even though she seems that way, once someone talks to her she doesn't turn away or leave them hanging and is surprisingly friendly. you just have to get to know her better. and try to put up with her nitpicking on every little mistake you may make in her presence.
  55. she's also someone who's easily hurt. however, she usually keeps a stoic expression to hide however she's feeling. she doesn't like it when others pry into her personal information which is why it's very hard for her to open up to others. but once she does find someone she trusts enough to open up to, she lets it all out like an emotional waterfall. after all, one can only hold back for so long. and she denies it, but she could care less about people calling her cocky or attention seeking or 'miss-i'm-so-much-smarter-than-everyone-else'. she acts like it doesn't effect her but sometimes, being called names right to the face kinda shocks her. but she never shows it. she prefers to act calm and collected, even if she's breaking into a million pieces inside. because she knows that the others around her are breaking too. and they can't afford to have her as an additional moping mess. she always thinks it's her responsibility to be the rational one in the face of this crisis.
  56. Minhee is one strong-willed individual. she will stand for what she believes in even if it puts her in danger. she will fight for it, and she will fight for her friends too.
  57. she's brave. given her small size, she does seem a tad timid. but she will never back down or succumb to a higher power just like that. she refuses to give up and just give in to tyrants like the 'higher one'. fighting for what's right is her policy.

BACKGROUND ) Minhee grew up in korea's fifth largest metropolis. since she grew up in the transportation hub, she's the one out of the trapped that could understand the transportation system in seoul the fastest. she moved to England when she was 9 because her father had business there and lived there for three years. they returned to korea afterwards but she continued to study english and in her free time. she didn't really care about french. but she uses it whenever she cusses. with a smile on her face. she studied piano and violin for a few years and self learnt the ukulele. she's quite the musical person, so she clicks with daegu well. she skipped several grades and is now smart enough to enter university. her father recently went out of business due to a friend who betrayed him, so Minhee has trust issues. as such she also had to sacrifice her dreams of going to UK to study. she also works part time as a tutor to help her family make ends meet. her father is however now working as a secretary so the family is slowly getting back on their feet. until the dome came down. and now Minhee has no idea how her family is.

SEOUL ) she was going for an interview at seoul university. the interview was to grant her a full-scholarship to the university to enter the medical research course and then contribute to their cancer reasearch centre. she also received invitations to cambridge and Imperial College London but it would be harder to get a scholarship there since she was an international student. plus, the living expenses there are too high. she couldn't put that kind of financial burden on her family. seoul's cost of living was already high as it is. which is why she had to get this scholarship - it even includes dorm accomodation and monthly allowances.

  7. Minhee loves her mother to bits. but sometimes she drives her up the walls. it took forever for her to convince her mother she'd be fine alone in seoul. one moment she was fine with it, the next she wasn't. it's like this for everything. but now she wishes she had just stayed.

Minhee gets her stubborn, strong-willed personality from her dad. you should just see the two of them debating over which flavour of ice-cream is better tasting. or which tv show should have better ratings. but he is the kind that would wait out in the cold if you came home late, and when he went out of business, he cried profusely and kept apologizing. but he found the strength to pull himself up. for his family.

  17. they're close, often squabble like siblings do. Jiwon is friends with Jangmi. Minhee was with him for a year in school then she skipped another grade. but they were close since then. Jiwon was the one that introduced her to the hip-hop scene and is now in seoul to audition for an entertainment company. he too is alone and trapped. he's a social butterfly. he tried to drag Minhee and Yujin (below) to parties all the time.

Yujin is one of the few friends that's actually Minhee's age. she is much more of an introvert than Minhee. in fact, it was Minhee who first approached her by putting one side of her ear-piece in her ear. others were gossiping that yujin was a loner so minhee did that on purpose, to indirectly tell them off. that's what sparked the friendship between the two. the two will laugh at jokes only they understand. she doesn't talk much, and is very soft-spoken. so it's odd that she's friends with Minhee who 1)is so manly and 2)speaks as if she's talking to someone with a hearing aid. all the time.

  32. SCENE SUGGESTIONS ) when she first meets heterochromia. i'll type out a short scenario:
  33. "Artemis!" she screams. The boy continues walking. "Ya! I'm talking to you!" he turns his head slightly, but ignores her call. "You with the blue fairy eye!" he turns around this time, seemingly confused. 'Fairy? That's a first,' he thinks. 
    "What's your name?" she asks.
    He remains silent.
    She takes a step closer to him, and he takes a step back. She stops in her tracks and shrugs as if it's no big deal. She looks at his eyes again, captivated. He looks just like how she imagined Artemis Fowl from one of her favourite fantasy book series. (The Artemis Fowl series.) She waits for him to respond but he doesn't.
    "I'll just call you Artemis then. Your eyes, are they contacts?" she says, straight to the point.
    The boy looks down as if he's insecure.
    "OI! DICKHEAD! WE'RE LEAVING!" someone calls.
    She sighs as she stuffs her hands in the pockets of her hoodie. She pushes her hood back and the boy almost gasps. He has never seen anyone that pretty before. Well, probably because he has not seen that many people at all. She holds her hand out to him.
    "Well, it was nice meeting you, Artemis," she waits for him to accept her hand. When he doesn't, she laughs, her low voice echoing off the walls as crinkles form at the corners of her eyes. He stares at her face as she just smiles and explains, "it's a hand. You shake it."
    He shyly stretches out his hand but pulls back about as quickly as he touches her. Human contact is alien to him. The warmth of that physical touch... it was a first. He looks up and notices she's staring right into his eyes.
    "They don't look like contacts..." she comments, mostly to herself. He steps away from her, flustered.
    "CHOI MINHEE!" that same voice calls.
    "I'M COMING, I'M COMING!" she calls back while rolling her eyes. 
    She turns around to find that the boy is retreating into the darkness. "Hey!" she yells, startling him. He timidly sends her a side glance. He has to leave before the "higher one" notices he's been gone for too long. 
    "I think your eyes look nice," she states simply. He squints at her. Is she making fun of him? He isn't sure. She notices his expression and smiles kindly. "I'm serious. They look downright magical." 
    He blushes slightly and is thankful that the darkness is hiding his flushed cheeks. 'Why is my face so hot?' He wonders.
    She turns around and waves as she walks away. "I hope we meet again!"
    He watches her retreating figure before running back to the 'facility' . But all the while, he's thinking, 'She said they were magical." and, "She gave me a name."
    'Artemis'. The word rings in his mind.
