Seriously guys?
Okay, so I've never written a blog post before, but this issue is just driving me insane.
Are there SERIOUSLY people getting mad at Sungmin because he's getting MARRIED? WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL GUYS? You're getting mad at him for finding someone he wants to spend the rest of his life with? Someone who makes him happy? Are you seriously getting mad at him for being happy? And you call yourselves fans.
I've been reading around, trying to figure out what these people's arguments are, and I haven't found anything of actual worth yet, just a bunch of -hurt fangirls who are being pissy either because Sungmin is straight or because he's not being straight with THEM. Hypocrites.
Sungmin clearly knew damn well how y'all would react as well. He APOLOGIZED in the letter he wrote confirming the marriage. APOLOGIZED. To US. For being happy. How does that make any sense? As fans, as true ELFs, we should be supporting him in this, not attacking him and his fiancée. I just hope for their sake that selfish half-fans don't drive a wedge between them :( I think Sungmin deserves happiness. So why are there people who don't?
On a similar train of thought, why are there people LEAVING THE FANDOM over this? I mean, seriously? It's like we expect idols to not have personal lives just for our sake. The sake of a bunch of random strangers who, as much as I know they appreciates us, they will never meet. It's petty and depressing, and for the first time in four years I'm actually ashamed to be a member of this fandom. Super Junior is the only group that I follow in terms of things beyond music, the only group I am honestly 100% in love with, and it hurts me to see my boys struggling with this. How many times has one of them decided not to pursue a relationship because of the fear of what we might do upon discovering it? How often do they put US before themselves, before their own physical health and well being? And yet some people still have the audacity to get angry about this.
It boggles the mind.
Okay, rant over. Feel free to give your side in the comments. Explain to me why I'm wrong (or agree with me. That might put me in a better mood)
