MBLAQ! My heart hurts. :(

The return of the five year curse. This is one of my favorite male groups along with Big Bang. They had everything I wanted in a group, but unfortunately they were probably the most mismanaged group in Kpop. MBLAQ was so good and had so much freaking potential. The mismanagement from Jtune ruined such an amazing group. 5 years and not a single promoted single by a solo member. No official fan merchandise. Official outfits being burned. No media play before comebacks, like wtf? How do you so badly mess up a group that has GO as the main vocal, Yang Seungho as the leader/vocalist/dancer, Mir as the crazy but talented rapper, Thunder the member with great potential and Lee Joon as its visual/actually talented actor? Its so unfair. Now Joon & Thunder are leaving, and its not without reason. I'm glad they're no longer with Jtune, but I know it's going to be really hard to not be able to see the five of them standing on one stage. Or in variety shows where they shined the brightest. They're so talented individually and had great teamwork. I'm just glad that at least they're discussing it and taking all of the members into consideration. I'm just not happy with how things turned out. And sorry, but this just turned me even more off to the new rookie group. The timing was just off. I only feel like J.Tune started MBLAQ's twitter up to make sure the fans didn't go ape when they opened up the new group's. I mean, it only took them FIVE freaking years to do it. This is seriously not a good year at all. :,(

Lee Joon decides not to renew contract with J. Tune Camp + withdraws from MBLAQ

October 12, 2014 @ 10:51 pm

It has just been shockingly reported that Lee Joon has withdrawn from MBLAQ!

Lee Joon's contract with J.Tune Camp recently expired, and the idol has ultimately decided that he'd like to focus on acting. As a result, Lee Joon will not be renewing his contract with J.Tune Camp.

Although the contract has officially come to an end, according to insiders, Lee Joon will still take part in MBLAQ's upcoming concert dubbed "MBLAQ's Curtain Call" scheduled for November 29th and 30th. There is no news on whether the remaining members will continue on with group promotions after their upcoming concert.

In other news, Lee Joon was cast for upcoming MBC drama 'Mister Baek'.

Thunder likely to depart MBLAQ as well + J.Tune releases official statement

October 13, 2014 @ 1:01 am

It is now being reported that Thunder will be departing from MBLAQ, following Lee Joon, who has decided to withdraw and pursue a future in acting.

Rumors currently state that Thunder has ultimately decided to walk his own path, and will return as a solo artist and producer in the future. Fans are also speculating whether MBLAQ will continue as a trio, or find replacements to join the group.

J.Tune Camp has also just come forward with their first official statement on the matter. A representative from the company stated, "Lee Joon will still be participating in the November concerts. We will be taking all of the members' wishes and considerations, along with the agency's decisions to come to one final conclusion. Our agency will also work hard to make the best decision for MBLAQ." The rep concluded by stating that a full statement will be released as soon as a final decision is made.

Aside from the representative's statement, J.Tune Camp has also come forward stating:

"Hello. This is J.Tune Camp

We are giving our official statement in regards to news of Lee Joon withdrawing, and MBLAQ's break-up reported earlier today.

It is true that Lee Joon's contract is coming to a close, however Lee Joon's departure has yet to be decided officially, as discussions are still going on.

Due to the nature of Lee Joon's decision, it is excpected that Lee Joon will participate in all of MBLAQ's activities, including their November concerts.

Lee Joon is discussing with the agency his thoughts, future plans, goals, and career. We plan to come to a final decision together, taking Lee Joon's opinion as well as other MBLAQ members stance on the situation.

J.Tune Camp will announce future decisions through official statements.

We ask for your continued love and support for MBLAQ."

Though the statement includes news on Lee Joon, no statement has been made in regards to news of Thunder's departure.

I can't speak right now, I'm crying, I'm literally crying right now. They're my only reason to be in KPop.
I want them to be happy and successful, so if Joon and Thunder decide to leave to do their own thing, I will support them, and the other three as well. Just... I can't hate madtown. ut JTune's timing wih their debut is awful.MBLAQs twitter seemed like they were finaly doing things right but, now it all seems like a way to keep the fans calm.
And jfc if they replace Thunder and Joon I will punch them in the face. MBLAQ is Seungho, G.O, Joon, Thunder and Mir, whether they are together or not.
I hope this gets clarified soon.
I hate this year.

Basically this. Get your together KPOP. I've already ranted on one post and on a Tumblr, but I'm sick of the bull this pulls me through. I love MBLAQ as well, even my beloved Thunder. I can't deal with this year. I'm done with 2014, I hope it gets better next year. I hope Jtune will realize the mistakes made this year and that they'll do better. I hope Joonie and Cheondunggie will be successful in what they want to do.
