This post will announcing my break from AFF and is a follow-up to my other post. If you care to read, please do.

TL;DR: A while back, I was plagiarized. The fic was reported and taken down, and I thought that was the end of it. The lying thief who plagiarized me did not.

For reasons only known to lying, thieving prokaryotes, it decided to contact me to…I don’t even know. Basically, lie some more and insist it wasn’t lying, even though there is definitive proof of its lying.

The theft, I leave for you to judge. It wasn’t word-for-word copying, but read the examples I put up and tell me if you would be okay with it, if it were your hard work.

Anyhow, as a result of this absurdity:

1. I have friends-locked all my fics, except for entries for ongoing contests and my compilation of posts about Sunggyu.

2. All future fics (again, except contest entries) will also be friends-locked.

3. I will be taking a break from AFF. I won’t be gone forever, and because I always finish what I start, I will be ending all my ongoing fics, although I can’t give you an exact timeframe.

To anyone who’s read this far, thank you.

I know this sounds melodramatic (it sounds that way to me), and I shouldn't let such idiocy bother me, but right now, all of this just doesn’t seem worth it to me. The support I’ve gotten from some of you is fabulous and much-loved and much-appreciated, but I’ve done the loss-to-gain analysis, and right now, I have more to lose than I do to gain.

I still love writing, but my love for sharing my writing has been steadily declining. There are a lot of things to blame for that, but I won’t go into them (same old same old like every other writer on this site about writing to silence/selfishness is part of it).

If I stay, I’m just going to end up spewing more vitriol into the world, and the world doesn’t need that.

I'll be logging in at some points to congratulate the winners of the contests I'm entered in, or to do some light housekeeping, but I'm effectively on hiatus/break for an indefinite period. I apologize to the readers of my ongoing fic, and ask for your understanding.

I still want to be part of this world, if you’ll have me (those people who unsubbed clearly don’t, so I wish you well), but I’ll just need some time.

It’s hard to have to exist in a world where such an appalling lack of human decency is still allowed to roam free, but hey, that’s the real world, too, so I get it.
