Advice Needed!!!!

A couple of months ago someone approached my father asking if I was interested on working for a casual job for 4 days at our state's annual agriculture show for waitressing. The pay at the end would've been about $300.

I needed the money to fund for my Greece Tour for school next year but due to some miscommunication, and a certain bish, I wasn't able to get the job.

(the bish told me she'll send my resume in for me but she didn't and sent hers instead and left mine on her desk, I found out the other day -____-)

Anyway, I was disappointed and kinda mad but life goes on right?

But then today i got a call from the manager and head of staff for the show (who called me yesterday but I ran out of credit so i couldnt get back to him and besides, it was an unknown number....) and he offered me an 8 day job with a pay for $500.80 at the end, which is more then I wanted to get and the job was better, (making smoothies and I get free lunch as well)

So I was like HELL YEAH! And then I remembered....

My parents had planned a 3 day trip during those 8 days and if I can't make it for all 8 days the offer would be dropped. I called a couple of friends  asking if they were willing to be interested to take my place for those 3 days and saying they will get the $187 pay for helping, finally i was able to get one friend was willing but i told him no promises cos i dont know if its allowed or not, he seemed pretty cool about it tho. Got back to the manager, unfortunately he said he could only take on 1 person who can make it for the whole 8 days as he told everyone else that and it wouldn't be fair if he let me get a friend to fill in. (He was really sincere about it and really sounded like he wished he could let me).The manager then spoke to my mum and told me that I can get back to him tomorrow which was good of him cos he really needed a response by tonight. My parents told me that the choice was all up to me whether or not i wanted to take it.  

The thing is tho, I dont know what to do! I want to work and i need the money but I also want to spend time with my family cos "family comes first" (you guys seen types of parents by superwoman?! X'D sorry off topic here...) and i thought i would get a chance to take really awesome photos and update my stories during that time. If I work, I only have one week for writing.. 

I didnt get called back for an interview after i told the person who originally asked me if I wanted to work (how the process works is u call if ur interested, and send a resume and if they want u, they will call u back for an interview, but because of le bish my chances was low, thanks bish. -_-)

In my opinion, I feel that this is a good chance for you to get a job and make money, which can help you with your trip. Yes, its good to spend time with family, but it is also important to balance the pros and cons of this situation. Family will always be there but this is a one time thing that could also help you in the future with your school trip (Which I wish I could go on too!). Ultimately, its up to you whether or not to take the job or spend time with your family. I bet your family would definitely understand if you chose to stay and work. You can always make time to write later. Your readers can wait! Your life comes first! Dont worry bout us. :) Hope you are happy with which ever you choose to do! Good luck. :)

Hi Dongsaeng, well as I read your complete story.. I would like to give you an answer. I know as much as you love your family, you also have to think about your future. So maybe discuss this with your family to see if they would agree to let you do the job and turn down this once the family vacation.

Like all the others adviced you yet, I would definitely take this job to fund your Greece Tour (I want to go with you! :))

I hope that you can do something with the advices you got from all of your friends ;)

Anyway I know how important family is BUT this kind of oppotunity comes ONCE in a lifetime and family trips goes on... So think about it and choose wisely!!

To be honest, I would take the job. You can always spend time with family but you cant always find a job that pays that well. To that bish though...she is really...-__-

If I'm on your feet, I'd get the job. I know family comes first but you need the job to fund your Greece Tour (omo! I want that Greece tour orz). Family vacations can wait. There are 365 days in a year and I know you and your family will find some other time to spend quality time with each other. If your tour is just a few months from now, my advice is to take the job :) Good luck.
