TVXQ: HoMin in 2011 and Looking Ahead

All in all 2011 has been a great Comeback year for TVXQ.  They didn't win any of the big industry awards, but they worked harder, flying from country to country, performing in front of over 3 million people live, and millions more via TV and internet.  They quietly smile, gave entertaining interviews, stood side by side supporting each other while they toiled away, carving out their place in history.

Here's just a list off the top of my head of what they've done this year:

Albums: Keep Your Head Down (Why); TONE; SM Town 2011 The Warmest Gift; Winter Rose.

Concerts:

KBS Open Concert, SM Town Paris, SM Town Tokyo, SM Town New York, Music Bank Tokyo, Japan's A-nation concert (which toured 5 cities in Japan) as the 'big bird' or last/closing artist of the show, SBS Eco Festival, Visit Korea Super Concert, MBC Korean Music Wave in Bangkok, Thailand; Tokyo Legend Concert, Hallyu Dream Concert, Seoul-Osaka Music of the Heart, Before the Children- KPOP Charity Live in Tokyo, KPOP Concert NY (New Jersey), KPOP Music Fest Sydney, Australia, KPOP Billboard Masters Las Vegas, SBS Gayo Daejun, KBS Gayo Daejun, MBC Gayo Daejun, Kouhaku Uta Gassen - Japan.

Media/Endorsements:

Then there were the hundreds of magazine articles (Marie Claire, ElleGirl, AnAn, Ray, PopTeen, GQ Japan, CeCi, SPUR, Josei Seven, High Cut, Vogue Nippon, Nylon Korea, FRaU, Days, W Korea, ROLLING STONE, InStyle in Hawaii (Changmin) photo spreads, including a trip to Spain for "El Sol" photobook, New York Fashion week with La Coste in September, 7/11 in Japan; Samsung, Missha - Japan, Pepsi Cola; Seibu Silver Card (bank in Japan); Shilla Duty Free shops (CF); 2012 Calendars (x2); Evisu, Bean Pole Jeans, Nike (CF), Bon.G,

TV Appearances:

Korea: Running Man, Come to Play, Dalgona, MBC Radio Star, KBS Gag Concert, Mnet TOOK!, MBC Golden Fishery, SBS Heroes, Strong Heart, Happy Together, MBC Sebawki, KBS Hope for the Children, KIss and Cry (Yunho); New Life to Children, Guerilla Date, SBS KJE Chocolate; KBS Entertainment Relay; TvN TAXI Talk Show; Weekly appearances on Inkigayo, Music Bank, Mnet Countdown, Music Core, to promote Why, Maximum, Before U Go, How Can I.

Japan: SMAPxSMAP; Hey, Hey, Hey!, Elle Girl; NicoFarre, Hey Hey Hey! Christmas Special Live; MTV Japan, Weekly appearances on Music Station (Japan), to promote Why, Maximum, Before U Go, I Don't Know, SuperStar, B.U.T.

Dramas: Athena (Changmin), Paradise Ranch (Changmin), Poisedon (Yunho); (I feel ike I should put their WHY and BEFORE YOU GO MV's here too, since they were 16 mins of DAEBAK-NESS)!

Film: CUBO 3D (Yunho) filmed in Canada

Radio:  Sukira, Shimshimtapa, Youngstreet, Dream Radio, SBC FM 107.7, KBS Cool FM, TenTen Club Radio, SBS Power FM, MBC ChinChin, KBS World, MBC Melon Music Story

They squeezed in two fan meetings in Taiwan and Shanghai, along with dozens of "fan signing events" and press conferences in Japan and Korea.

Let's not forget that Changmin performed in Japan with a badly sprained wrist, and that Yunho collasped from exhaustion and was given IV treatments as well. So when my favorite bias in SuJu tweets that "no one works harder than us," with all due respect my sweet Captain, these two boys work their asses off, never complaining, never drawing attention to themselves, and they do it with smiles on their faces, no matter how sick, tired, frustrated, hungry, exhausted, sleep deprived, jet lagged, homesick, or lonely they are!  Now I don't undermine or underestimate how hard SNSD and Super Junior have worked in 2011, because I know both groups also traveled to all the SM Towns, Japan, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Taiwan. However, these groups didn't have as many 'combined' activities as TVXQ did. I recognize that several of their members worked more than others, but combined, as a group, no other one, either on the SME Label or any other label, worked as hard as TVXQ did this year!

Somehow miraculously these boys still are able to 'socialize' by attending their label mates concerts: KRY (Changmin), SHINee (Y&C),

I'm sure I left tons out, since I am just typing this all by memory... so feel free to add to whatever I missed!  My point being: 2011 TVXQ CAME BACK AND KILLED IT!  They knocked it out of the park!  In 2012 and beyond they will keep doing what they do best: working their asses off!  And here's the kicker... they do it because they LIKE it, because they LOVE Cassies and BigEast fans who keep them going through our support, cheers and tears.

Thank you Leader Yunho and my Prince Changmin.  I love and respect you both with my whole being!

2011 had been a year when the five of them showed their great effort. HoMin with some fans-turned-to-antis sending them negatives comments still worked even harder; and JYJ with those bannings still gained love here and there :))

the only thing I don't like is Yunho didn't look as captivating as before :/ I find his hairstyle didn't really suit him and he gained too much weight. Idk if it's only me thinking that way.. but I miss the hot Yunho *.*

They don't complain at all. I swear. I'm pretty sure that if they had Twitter accounts like SUJU did, they probably STILL won't say anything.
