Oh God!!! That sounds so like me!!! But in my case, it's not just pens but pencils as well.. And instead of only notebooks, I use sketch books for those mindmap thingies and notepads... I even have loads of scrap paper like receipts and hotel memo pads LOL!!!
Seriously, I now vary a voice recorder along with notebooks, pens, pencils ... when I see interesting street names I write them down to see how to "complete" them. I look up baby names in both English AND Korean, and see what I can come up with. LOL ... and the dialogues my family had come across me having with myself but NOT seeing the voice recorder or my phone ... PRICELESS

I think you're on to something...this is me! I get super excited when people give me notebooks or writing utensils...and I totally have pens, pencils, and a pencil sharpener in my purse XD
you know what...you might be right.....whenever an ideia pops in my mind I immediatly write it down somewhere even dough I might not use it, but just in case.....sometimes it inspires other ideias....
