TRAINEE YEARS [ ♦ ] 6 years (3 at Starship, 3 at Jellyfish)
TRAINEE BACKGROUND [ ♦ ] Ageha's training period was long and somewhat bumpy. As one of the few Japanese trainees at Starship, Ageha had to work her way up the system to prove that she was just as good as the Korean trainees. However, she didn't know and understand a single word of Korean, so the first year was hard because she struggled in her language classes. Ageha was looked down by the girls and they made fun of her because they knew she couldn't understand Korean and couldn't do anything about it. In order to gain the teachers' respect, she didn't lash back when they scolded her or mocked her weak vocals. Because of the dedication she had for trining, Ageha often fell sick and lost an increasingly amount of weight in just a few months. But Ageha forced herself to continue because she wanted to see herself onstage and make her sister proud. Unfortunately, she worked for three years in Starship only to discover they were transferring her over to another company, Jellyfish. Ageha was nervous to enter Jellyfish, but not as much as she did in the beginning because she could now speak and understand Korean and her dancing/singing skills were satisfactory.

At Jellyfish (this was in 2011), the teachers wondered what would happen if Ageha rapped. The latter disagreed immediately, stating she was only a dancer and rapper, but they signed her up for rap classes anyways. The first classes were shaky and Ageha struggled to control her fluidity and speech. One day, a male trainee by the name of Kim Wonshik offered to help Ageha, who was hesitant but at the same time desperate to improve. That night, Wonshik, Ageha, and a few other rap trainees snuck out of the company after curfew for the underground rap arenas, something they did every night. While Wonshik and the others rapped under their own stage names, Ageha would watch by the sides, carefully observing and impersonating. Afterwards, Ageha began reciting tongue twisters to help the speed and clarity of her voice. After several months of doing this and following Wonshik to the underground places, Ageha grew into a successful rapper.

PERSONALITY [ ♦ ] collected, insecure, naive, organized, persuasive, reliable

// Because of her soft and gentle appearance, many people aren't afraid to approach Ageha. Typically, this is a bad move. Unless they're fans, Ageha is cautious on who approaches her. She will bow her head to elderly strangers and help them if they need assistance, but only elders. If some stranger her age walks up, she avoids eye contact and pretends not to see them. This usually leads to people perceiving her as an unfriendly person. Ageha is pretty much known for her quiet nature. She never raises her voice unless it is absolutely necessary. Ageha looks like a total ice queen but once people get to know her better, she's sweet and more talkative and open around you. She's very self conscious of her image and strives to be polite to everyone. Because of this, she keeps her opinions to herself for fear her comments will offend people or that she'll get in trouble. She usually goes along with whatever people say without complaining. But really, when her members are up for a little pranking or making trouble, she quietly joins in the fun even if she knows there's bound to be consquences.

// Ageha is very detail-orientated and a quick thinker. With a bit of practice, she always gets her choreography and song lyrics down. She's the one who speaks for her members when they've lost their train of thought, always protecting the group from scandals and things that are not meant to be said (which is ironic because she can't even protect herself). She has the ability to smooth over a tense situation with her soft, calming voice and always wants to find both sides to a story before making a decision. Ageha is a bit of a perfectionist and tends to overthink, but expect things to get done more efficiently with her at your side. It takes a lot to make this girl angry. When it's basic anger, her whole face turns white and she clenches her fists. She becomes much more reserved and quieter. When it's pure rage however, the calm Ageha lashes out and may hit you (if she dares). Her cold shoulders last up to a week; it's best advised that you apologize first because Ageha will seriously ignore you. She'll refer to you as "that thing over there" or look straight past you as if you are nothing but thin air. Ageha may look like a girl who forgives easily, but she can hold grudges for a very long time.

// Onstage, Ageha is a little more open and welcoming to her fans. No matter how tired, or angry, or frustrated Ageha is, she never lets those emotions show to them. Even when she isn't in the mood, she willingly takes pictures with the fans and sign autographs for them. Ageha struggles to be more active and talkative on variety shows, because she doesn't want her fans to think badly of her. Ageha is definitely the quiet, calm girl, but she's not afraid to kick it up onstage. If you ask her to do a y dance, she'll do as you request. When she performs, Ageha gives it her all, so that her fans can be contented. She is called the Beat Freak as she always 'hits the beat with 100% soul, 100% passion and 100% charisma," especially in her rapping and dancing. The CEO of Jellyfish once said Ageha shines the best when she's on her own, but she dislikes taking the spotlight and would rather share it with her members instead. And as she is a polite girl, Ageha bows not only to sunbaes, but to everybody, even to the rookies!

// Unfortunately, Ageha is very easy to push around. People take advantage of her submissive personality and they force her to do things she doesn't want to. She tends to trust people wholeheartedly as well. She falls into great despair whenever the trust is broken, yet she continues to trust others. Ageha always tells herself to be tougher, but it's hard because she's simply too reluctant to fight against her enemeies. When it comes to verbal/physical fights, Ageha can't fight back with harsh words or punches. She's weak, and she needs to rely on the Cs to defend her. But she struggles to be independent, because she doesn't like it when people pity or worry about her.

// Ageha may seem strong on the exterior, but inside hides an insecure girl afraid of failure. When she was a trainee, many of the girls told Ageha she would never make it as an idol. Ageha pushes herself to the limit to prove them wrong, but at the same time she's terrified of proving them right. When her progress does not meet her expectations, she bursts into tears and members often find her in the bathroom stall crying. She cannot handle criticism well, and although she gracefully accepts the criticism, something inside her shatters. She tends to scold herself for being the way she is and forces herself to work harder until she is deemed perfect. Ageha had been raised in a household that accepted only perfection, so she strives to be the definition of perfect.

BACKGROUND [ ♦ ]
Ageha was born into a wealthy, high-class family in Sendai, Miyagi, Japan, as the eldest child. Her father currently owns a large successful chain of hotels across the globe, while her mother continues a professional photographer. Ageha's younger sister Natsumi was born three years after, and Ageha absolutely adored her. Instead of Ageha taking over his hotel business, her father planned for Ageha to be a musician. As soon as Raehwa reached the age of four, she was given her first cello, an instrument her father always admired. While other children played outside, Raehwa spent her childhood cooped up in the music room, devoting herself to the cello, and even though she won numerous music competitions, it never satisfied her father. Natsumi, on the other hand, was allowed to do anything she wanted - gymnastics - and their father praised her. Ageha wondered why her father pushed her so hard, but she never spoke up because she was desparate to please her father. Their mother, on the other hand, focused more on her work than her family. This would eventually lead to divorce, and when Ageha was seven and Natsumi was four, their mother packed up their things and moved to Hawaii.

When Ageha was fourteen, she and Natsumi were spending their summer holiday with their father. They were in Tokyo for a day trip when a man suddenly approached them and asked the girls, specifically Ageha, if they were interested in entering the entertainment industry. The man turned out to be a Starship scout, who was here in Japan for the auditions held there. Ageha was curious and Natsumi was overjoyed. The Starship scout offered the girls to audition there, but their father immediately objected since he thought the idea of his daughters as idols was ridiculous. The two girls never had training in dancing or singing, so they begged their father to let them experience it. He refused, but gave in when Natsumi cried. He called their mother in Hawaii, who didn't care as long as it was the girls' decision. Since Natsumi was too young, she pestered Ageha into doing it. Ageha was afraid to travel to Korea by herself, but she thought that this would be a way to gain her parents' attention. Although she didn't showcase much at the audition, the judges saw the potential in her and sent her to the Starship Korean headquarters to begin.

//
little brother, No Minwoo  19  Idol in Boyfriend  dedicated, emotional, sensitive, shy  along with the other Boyfriend members, Minwoo met Ageha on the set of Janus. Although Ageha was a year older than Minwoo, they clicked more because Minwoo reminded Ageha of the brother she always wanted  Ageha is that one embarrassing sister to Minwoo. She's always doting on him and getting whatever he wants, though Minwoo refuses and tells her it should be the other way around. Minwoo keeps track of Click and does his best to show up at Click fanmeets, not only because he enjoys their music but also because his noona Ageha is there.

OTHERS [ ♦ ]

// younger sister, Nakajima Natsumi 'Clara'  16  high school student lively, sarcastic, witty, vivacious  the two girls are complete different opposites, yet they get along like peas and carrots. Ageha never felt any resentment towards Natsumi despite their father's unfair treatment, and instead adores her. Ageha never fails to calls Natsumi to check out her she is doing in school, which Natsumi takes the opportunity to complain about her school and how Ageha is living the good life. Natsumi isn't a hardcore K-pop fan but she willingly listens to Click just for Ageha. Natsumi often expresses concern over her older sister and her health and nags, "Baka, don't stay up too late and strain yourself."

LIKES [ ♦ ]

// warabi mochi ; her favorite Japanese dessert, usually eaten in the summer

// photo sticker booths ; they're such a nice way to spend time with friends and save the memories with adorable backgrounds and stickers. Ageha has several containers full of photos and she likes to look at them whenever she feels lonely

DISLIKES [ ♦ ]

// being told she's a failure ; she's been told enough times during her childhood and training and she doesn't need anymore of that
// tight clothing ; Ageha likes to move free and tight clothes would just make her feel restrained and uncomfortable

// heavy perfume ; as nice as they smell, the scent can be so overwhelming it acts up Ageha and she has to carry around a tissue box so she can shove tissues up her stuffy nose
// mangos ; Ageha would think they're such a delicious fruit if she wasn't allergic to them

HABITS AND HOBBIES [ ♦ ]

// practicing her cello ;  even though Ageha is now an idol, she practices her cello every day, mostly for an hour, if she can. If not, it's mostly a thirty minute practice
// saying tongue twisters ; it's a helpful way for Ageha to improve her rapping
// watching and squealing over panda videos ; just a weird hobby of hers
// she scrunches her nose when she's forced to do something she doesn't want to
// when she hugs people, she squeezes them
// if she's about to cry, she pinches her nose and says she's having allergies
// when she's feeling nervous, she fiddles with her ears
// she answers her phone with "mushimushi," the Japanese way of saying hello

TRIVIA [ ♦ ]

// she often states on interviews that she wants someone to write a fanfiction on her because she's curious of what they'll come up with
// when she's older Ageha plans to get a tattoo of a butterfly somwhere on her left back shoulder - not because her name means butterfly, but because it represents freedom as well as hope
// her phone wallpaper is a picture of Hongbin during the GR8U era - ssh! Which is probably why Ageha rarely lets people use her phone for fear they'll see the Hongbin picture and question her about it
// she collects Lego figurines because she thinks they're interesting and carries a few in her bag so she can play with them when she's bored. Some of her fans give her Lego figurines as gifts
// she can tie a cherry stem into a knot, a talent she doesn't hesitate showing off on variety shows

// she is often shipped with Exo's Tao because of their extreme fondness for pandas

PERSONALITY [ ♦ ] How to describe Lee Hongbin? With a smile angelic enough to make grown women scream, Hongbin is more than just a handsome face. Sincere and sweet, he is always there to lend a shoulder if you need it and doesn't look into the negative aspects of people. Hongbin strives to view the good in everyone without judging. He does suffer from insecurity and extremely cares  - almost to the point of obsession - about his outward interior, just so he can protect himself from hurtful comments on it. He isn't completely used to the whole idol lifestyle and is a little more reserved towards his fans, though he loves every one of them. It takes quite a while for Hongbin to warm up to someone, but once he opens himself, he'll openly express his feelings, such as the more random side of him. Since he is often credited as a visual, he has to work slightly harder to prove people wrong, except it's out of willingness and not obligation.

RELATIONSHIP [ ♦ ] Hongbin and Ageha are an 'unofficial' couple, meaning everyone thinks they're together but are actually not. Their feelings for each other are obvious and clear to their friends and groupmates, but they're the only ones who have no idea. To them, they're just best friends. Hongbin is the only person Ageha feels quite comfortable sharing her feelings with, so she tells him all her insecurities and fears. Hongbin finds it sad that she fears imperfection and does his best to boost her ego by showering her with numerous, genuine compliments. Most of their conversations are a mix of Korean and Japanese, which makes Ageha feel more comfortable and an opportunity for Hongbin to improve his Japanese. Hongbin can honestly say he fell for Ageha because of how much he admires her, while for Ageha she is attracted to his sweet and quiet nature. He is a true gentleman to her, always leaping to open the door for her and helping her carrying her things. Because of her vunerable personality, he feels the need to protect her and puts her wellbeing as one of his top priorities, maybe even in front of s. Whenever people criticize Ageha, he gets extremely defensive of her and claims that his "Butterfly" is perfect just the way she is. If you knew the two well enough you would notice Hongbin's crush on Ageha from the way he gazes at her from far away and him reaching out to tuck a loose piece of hair behind her ear. Ageha fights hard to deny her feelings for him, but she can't help but steal quick glances and shy smiles in his direction. They drag each other to hang out (or as others like to say 'dates') and just talk, especially since now they're both idols. Photo booths, shoping malls, picnics, you name it. Hongbin even once brought Ageha to an aquarium, which is the dream place he would like to go with his future girlfriend. Ageha was incredibly confused by this action because did Hongbin really thought of her that way? She often goes to Ravi for advice, and the latter tries his best to clear the confusion.

OTHER [ ♦ ] Since Ageha was known in Jellyfish as the new Japanese trainee learning how to rap, Ravi would often sneak her out along with him to underground rap places so she could experience the real thing. One night, Ravi was unable to take Ageha, so she decided to go by herself. When she returned to the company, Ageha realized she was lost and was actually in the boys' dormitory, which was strictly forbidden for girls to enter. She turned to find another direction and bumped into Hongbin, who just finished his late night practice. They both stared at each other and before Hongbin could question what she was doing, they heard the security guards starting their hallway patrol. Hongbin quickly grabbed her arm and pulled her into his dorm so she wouldn't be caught. When the outside footsteps faded, Ageha opened the door to leave but Hongbin asked for her name. Ageha merely smiled sadly and left quickly, leaving a confused Hongbin behind. It wasn't until the filming of Eternity that the two became closer. Ageha couldn't avoid him forever and once she noticed how well they got along, she decided Hongbin wasn't such a bad guy. As for Hongbin, he was interested to know the Japanese trainee better.
