➝ self-conscious - sarang can be self-conscious at times, and wishes she could change some things about herself, but she knows no one could be a better her.

 

CHARACTER HISTORY

Sarang was born in a average family. Her family consisted of five members, all older then her. She's pretty much the girl next door, and has the image of one. She's described as a hopeless romantic by her friends and family. Usually her parents dont like her being in a relationship since she gets too distracted and loses focus on school and her education. Prior to that, Sarang has only had two relationships or so in her life--so far. Sarang can be a bit delusional when it comes to boys. She day-dreams often about meeting that one boy who fits her standards and will love her back. She just loves playing that scenerio in her head over and over again. In her heart nothing tells her she won't find love with the perfect guy. During Sarang's third year of high school, she met a boy named Kai was super close to her standards. He was tall, good looking, kind, smart, and funny. He even had a mysterious type of aura which she digged. It didn't take much for Sarang to grab his attention during class or in the hallways. Eventually, Kai, asked Sarang for her social network information and her number. The quickly hit it off, and started texting daily, and talking to one another on the phone, and hanging out. Sarang found herself falling for Kai more and more everyday and she had a feeling he could possibly be the one. Sarang was so excited when she thought she could be one step closer to her dream of finding the her dream boy, when she heard from a mutual friend that Kai had been talking and seeing other girls. At first, Sarang didn't believe this sudden news stating that they were both too into each other for Kai to cheat. But when she was shown a picture of Kai at a party with tons of girls, and him even kissing one, Sarang's heart broke. She later found out from friend's of Kai that he was only using her to add another girl on his list that he dated. Sarang was heart-broken that she had been used and lied too. She was so heart-broken she found it difficult to trust anyone. She slowly began losing friends since she would close everyone out, and her grades began dropping. Sarang then, was given advice to forget about Kai and start thinking of her education and future. Sarang decided that, that was the best thing she could do for now and give relationships a break. She began working hard so she could do well on her finals, and SATs. During the two years Sarang was on hiatus in the relationship world, her grades increased beautifully, and she was becoming one of the head students in her high school. Thanks to long nights of staying up and studying, and keeping her mind of boys, Sarang was able to go to one of the top universities in SK. Without even intending to do so, Sarang found herself slowly falling for someone yet again. On Sarang's first day, she was lost in her large school, and was aimlessly walked around the school, and she accidently bumped into someone, causing her to fall and drop her belongings. At first she was angry since the person wasn't watching where they were going. But when the person helped her up, and noticed the person was boy. A handsome boy. He smiled at her, and introduced himself. 

"Mianhe, I was just searching for my class..It's my first day here..so I didn't know where I was going. I hope you could forgive me." He said with an adorable smile. Sarang felt her heart flutter, and she blushed. 

"It's fine, it's actually my first day too and I'm quite lost." Sarang confessed.

"My name is Jackson..it's nice to meet you..?"

"Sarang. Nam Sarang. It's nice to meet you too." She said with a cheeky smile. It turned out the two both shared the same classes. They began to grow into a good friendship, and Sarang soon found out he fit her standards perfectly, just as perfectly as Kai did. But when Sarang rememebered what happened to her in her last relationship, she slowly started to detatch herself from Jackson, and try to stop thinking about him. But she couldn't help it. He was everywhere. She found herself thinking of him almost 24.7, but couldn't do anything about it since she had such a big fear of getting hurt once again. 

CHARACTER PERSONALITY

Sarang is a fun, and entertaining girl--most of the time. She has an amazing sense of humour that's one of her major charms, and a laugh that makes people say, "Aw". But when she doesn't know someone and isn't comfortable around them, she generally tends to be quiet and pretty shy. Mostly with guys. She forgets what to say, and stutters, and blushes a lot. But once she's more comfortable and familiar with you, she becomes the life of the party. She's a good person to be around if you want to feel lifted up. She's also a very trusting and loyal friend. She's always there for those who needs her and is an honest girl. Somtimes a little too honest. Her honesty can get her in trouble at times since theres no filter in her honesty. She doesn't like sugar-coating because to her sugar coating is pretty much a lie. Even though sometimes honesty hurts, it doesn't hold her back from saying whats true. Sarang is a hopeless romantic. She spends about 80% of her time day-dreaming and thinking of who her dream boy be, if he'll fit her standards, and how lovely their future together would be like. But since her dreams shattered with the experience of her last relationship, her hopes slowly died down. To put her mind off boys for a while, Sarang began studying ferociously. She would study day and night and rarely went out with friends, making her have one of her major traits which is her brains. She is a very smart girl who is probably bright in any and every category and subject. She's a quick learner, and was able to get herself a scholarship to one of the best schools in SK. Usually when Sarang can't sleep and spends time alone, she begins thinking and when she starts thinking, she over-thinks. She over thinks in almost everything causing her to often stress out and have anxiety. She tries not to think of negative things, but they often come attacking her mind out of the blue. This mostly occurs before exams or big tests, and sometimes during nights she can't go to sleep. Sarang isn't a rude girl, at all. She tries to get along with people. To her she has a system called the "Mean Strikes". Say something mean once, that's a warning. Twice, that's fine..but it begins irratating her. Three times, and it's done. That's how she get's her nickname 'The Ticking Time Bomb'. She tries to keep her cool, but she cannot tolerate bullies. Once she explodes she really explodes and theres nothing that can stop her. She finds herself to be a cool, calm, and collected person so she doesn't find it nessacary to control her temper that she states she "doesn't have". Another flawd trait Sarang has is that she finds herself often pointing out her flaws. Whether it being physical or emotional theres a whole list of things Sarang wishes to change about herself. She can have a low self-esteem at times, and that makes her think she won't ever be good enough for anyone, going back to her worrying and over-thinking. But her number one supporter being her mother, always reminds her that no one could be a better Nam Sarang then Nam Sarang herself.

LOVE INTEREST

PERSONALITY. Jackson is a popular boy among his friends. He's described as fun, interactive, social king, and heart-fluttering-hunk whose almost everyones ideal type. He's not the type who cares about whose rags and whose riches, and whose hot and whose not. He often goes for the person's personality making Jackson a desirable man. He has a type of mysterious aura that also follows him, making people fall for him even harder. And who doesn't love a set of lovely eye-smiles? Jackson's eyes smiles is one of his major charms. He loves talking and getting to know people. He dislikes rules though, more than anything. He hates the feeling of people owning him, and controlling his every move. Though coming from a well-known background, that doesn't effect how Jackson is in anyway. Jackson is also the very adventerous type. He loves taking risks, and being able to say he's done something. Jackson has a habit of wanting to take lead in almost anything whether it be a sport, or in a relationship. He likes wearing the pants in the relationship to be able to show how much of a man he really is. Jackson is a educated based boy. He likes learning, and showing off what he knows. Overall, Jackson is a good person, with the heart of gold who isn't afraid of anything, and feels as if nothing can ever bring him down.

MEETING. Sarang and Jackson both met on the first day of univserity, when they both ran into each other. They had classes together, and soon grew a good friendship. (More detailed in background of character).

INTERATIONS. When Sarang and Jackson first began becoming close, Jackson often . He loved annoying her, but it was all in a joking matter. Things between the two first began becoming serious when they were both in the library together working on an assignment. When Sarang was trying to reach for a book, her finger slightly brushed another book that had tons of others stacked on it. When Jackson realized they were going to hit her, he quickly pushed her so they wouldn't hit her, and he landed on top of her. When he noticed he was pinning her down, he didn't move at all. He stared deep into her eyes, and smiled "You know..I can just lose myself looking at your warm eyes.." Jackson whispered, catching Sarang off gaurd. Sarang felt her heart beat at an incredibly fast rate, and she laughed it off trying to kill the romantic atmosphere so nothing else would happen. Ever since then Jackson ebgan complimenting her much more, and stating how beautiful she looked every day, making it almost impossible for Sarang to not do anything.

WHY DID YOU PICK THIS PLOTLINE?: "I think..this plot-line just shows how much one person's mistake can effect someone else so greatly, but that doesn't stop true passionate love from ever occuring. Especially for those hopeless romantic girls our there. So this plot-line truly touches a big part of me, since I can relate so much."
