Hehe I've met Internet friends in real life. Hihi. We became close online because of KPOP... then we decided to meet up. I thought it would be awkward, but it was not awkward at all. Just one of you must lead the conversation that made you connect, then voila. It would be nice if you would meet in a public place and have a chat in a fastfood chain, a restaurant. :) Be sure that they are really what you think they are.

I was in the same roleplay as three people (those girls were school friends initially) who live in my area since 2011, but it wasn't until 2013 when we met up for the first time in a Korean festival along with ANOTHER three people (also school friends, those three. Yes I was the black sheep. XD) who joined the RP later on. We've all added each other on FB prior to the meeting so it was a lot more easier to recognise each other, and also to make sure they're legit people and not some creepy pedo being a female student impostor! XD

If you're planning to meet more online friends in the future, definitely be in an open public space where there are lot of people, and yeah. The more friends, the better. More fun, yet safe.

Tbh I met Mia a day after speaking to her and that went fine and dandy but make sure you know this person is legit. You're meeting in a public place, right?

i have! it was pretty fun but we met at an organized event (sm entertainment's auditions heh) so i felt safe meeting them; i'd be careful about meeting them if you can't be sure you'll be safe :|

to be on the safe side, ask to skype (w/ faces) or something or ask for a picture of them
if they refuse to give a pic, its best you shouldn't meet up w/ them
but if you really want to, have someone else w/ u ^^

i met someone on aff like 2 years ago and we're still friends and i'm literally so close to meeting her, b/c shes going to kcon and i could go but my parents are like nooo lol so there's that

BUTTTT IF YOU MET THEM ONLINE FROM A DATING SITE, THAT'D BE A WHOLE DIFF STORY.
I met a guy off tinder and it was awful

I've met a few. It's a bit awkward at first but as you talk and find common ground or get to know eachother, it gets awesome *^* (esp if they like kpop)

I've met 2 people in real life from here(at different times). I'm really shy when I meet new people too, but I actually wasn't shy when I met them. I actually ran and hugged one of them haha xD I think since I've know them already before, it's like we've been friend in real life for that same amount of time.

I met one of my friends from another online site a loooong time ago, on a book mess in my city. She had talked her mom into going and we met. We fought and cut all contact sometime a bit over a year ago, but now we're starting from scratch again ^^

Well I'd say, the more you've talked to the person before you meet, the smoother (is that a word) your irl meeting goes. It's bound to be a little awkward, yeap, but as long you have something to talk about it'll be fine
And it's your city! Show your friend around, tell him/her what you like to do, those kinds of things! ^^

Be very careful with meeting people online. Most of them are people just like you but you never know when you get that 1% that's bad. Choose a public place for sure and i would suggest having a friend tail you as back up.

Choose a public place like a cafe to meet at.
