Name: Seo "Alisha" Shinae
Nickname(s): --
Preferred Name: Alisha
Birthday/Age: 1st of July, 1992 || 19 years old
Bloodtype: A
Height: 155cm || 61in
Weight: 49kg || 108lbs

---

District of Origin: One
Power: With the power of healing, Alisha is able to heal anything from a cut to a gaping wound by using both water and her own chi.  She simply has to focus all her chi to her hands, coat them in water, and hover above the open cuts to disinfect/close them.  If she wants to fix a broken bone, she doesn't need water, but it takes a lot more chi to mend the bone fragments back together.  If she wants to save someone who's ingested poison or who is ill internally, Alisha needs to focus all her chi and try to "see" where in the body the patient's source of pain is and either take it out (if it's poison) or make it disappear.
Fighting Style: Alisha's a pacifist, so she tries not to fight as much as possible.  If it's necessary for her to fight, however, she'll fight by aiming for her opponent's pressure points.  She can cause anything to happen to her enemies; she can do anything from making them faint or breaking their bones.
Other Skills: Alisha is able to discern edible plants from dangerous plants (she ended up learning from experience).

How/Why You Were Selected: Alisha is not the type who would volunteer for the Games without good reason; everyone in District One knows of her fraidy-cat nature.  To be honest, the reason she volunteered herself is one that evokes sympathy - it was common knowledge that Alisha's older sister was deathly ill.  With resources becoming scarce, Alisha figured it was time to go big or go home (empty-handed).  She begged the people around town for the chance to volunteer as a representative for the district, and she succeeded in persuading them.  Alisha's aim in the Games is simple - win in order to bring back valuable resources for her sickly sister.
Death Method: Alisha's probably the type who will end up dying because she's stupidly putting others before herself.  With her pacifistic nature, she'd probably end up dying by saving an enemy from something, like an incoming projectile of some sort.
First Impression:
"Ah, I have a lot of respect for them...  They're like my idols...  Holy cow, I'm meeting them in the flesh!  What do I do, what do I do?!?  I need to make a good impression.  I wonder if they know why I'm here?  I mean, everyone in District One seems to know about Joohyun-unnie, but I guess you never know.  Is it admirable to want to do this?  Blahblahblah..." (Basically, her first impression of her mentors is that they're very worthy of reverence; her mind is running at a million miles a minute to try and figure out how to make a good first impression on them.)

Appearance: 01 02 03 04 05 06 07
Name of Ulzzang/Model: Shin Solki
Back-Up Ulzzang/Model: 01 02 03
Back-Up Ulzzang/Model Name: Moon Dambi
Style: 01 02 03 04 05
Unseen Appearance: Alisha has a long (10in) scar that runs along the inside of her left forearm; it is because of this scar that Alisha rarely wears anything but long-sleeved tops/jackets.

---

Personality: Alisha is an ophthalmophobe, and it is her phobia of being stared at that has ended up shaping her entire lifestyle.  She actually has pretty terrible eyesight - and thick lenses on her glasses to match - but she never actually wears her glasses.  She believes seeing the world in a blurry state will help calm down her phobia, and - for the most part - it has.  However, force her to wear glasses for a few seconds, and you'll find Alisha cowering on the ground in the fetal position.  She hates being stared at that much.

She's a timid girl overall and a pushover too.  Ask her to do anything nonviolent and she'll most likely oblige to your wishes/commands.  She is the kind of girl who puts the feelings of others before herself, and it is because of this manner of hers that she rarely voices her own opinions on matters.  She's kind-hearted and also trusts others very easily, in hopes that others will place their trust in her too.  It is this trusting nature of hers that also makes her gullible and naive.  To be quite honest, she's notorious in District One for being so gullible and naive - and it is this part of her that makes the District worry over sending her as a representative.  Sure, she's a talented healer - she hasn't worsened anyone's condition just yet - but what will happen if Alisha ends up placing her trust in a deceitful "friend"?  What happens if there arises a situation where Alisha has to be able to see, has to wear her glasses?  Well, there's only one way to find out...

  2. She may be a pushover, but she gets angry too; when she's angry, she becomes especially introverted and keeps to herself.
  3. Since she's so trusting of others, she's always looking for new friends; she'll always greet people - even if she's scared of them or dislikes them - because she thinks it is the polite thing to do.

Talents: She can swim as fast as fish, name all the constellations/stars in the sky, and she's a pretty decent ballet dancer.

Background: Alisha was born an accident.  To be honest, Juwon and Sekyung had only ever intended to have two kids; however, they had intended to raise one son and one daughter.  When they gave birth to a second daughter, something within Sekyung snapped and she began to only dote on the oldest daughter - ignoring the newborn Alisha altogether.  If it wasn't for Juwon, it is very likely that Alisha would have died as an infant - Sekyung had often even forgotten to feed Alisha, claiming that food was scarce and should only be given to those who are worthy of being alive.  As Alisha grew older, she realized that Sekyung never treated the two daughters as equals; as Alisha grew older, she began striving for the affections of her mother (and this is where her pushover "I'll-Do-Whatever-You-Ask" personality stems from) but to no avail.  Eventually, Alisha gave up on her mother and gained comfort from the fact that, well, at least she had a loving father.

Of course, all good things must come to an end.  When Alisha was eight years old, her father was killed in a forest by a serial murderer that had been going around all the districts.  Devastated by her father's murder, Alisha began to grow increasingly paranoid of people's stares.  She began finding stares accusing; she would start having panic attacks when under people's watchful eyes.  It was then that she was diagnosed by a Healer that she had ophthalmophobia.  Sekyung was disgusted with Alisha; she had more important things to worry about - like Joohyun, who had begun growing increasingly ill after Juwon had passed away.

At the age of eleven years old, Alisha was kicked out from the Seo family home.  She began living with the Healer - Shinwoo - that had initially diagnosed her, and she began learning the basics of Healing.  Life wasn't necessarily easy, but Alisha had it easier in Shinwoo's home than she ever had in her own home growing up after her father's death.  She gradually learned that her eyesight was going the more she used her powers, but instead of growing afraid by the revelation, she grew increasingly ecstatic.  She felt more comfortable in public - now that she couldn't see very well - and began morphing into the person that she is in present day.

Eventually, Alisha grew comfortable enough to try and return to her family's home.  Once she got there, however, she discovered that time had not treated the Seo family well.  Joohyun was now completely bedridden and Sekyung was weary from overworking herself to care for Joohyun.  Sekyung still did not treat Alisha as a daughter, but she admitted that times were rough and that it would be nice if Alisha could help the family a bit.  And that's where the Games come in...
Parents:

  • Seo Juwon. 46. He was caring, overprotective, and one of those dads who thought the world of his kids. He's Alisha's deceased father.
  • Seo Sekyung. 43. She's overbearing and strict; she hopes for bigger and better things for Joohyun, but she is apathetic towards Alisha. She is Alisha's mother.

Siblings:

  • Seo Joohyun. 20 years old. She's docile, feminine, and very mature; she's actually quite similar to Alisha except that she's (a) not an ophthalmophobe and (b) less gullible/naive. She's Alisha's older sister.

Other Relatives:

  • Son Shinwoo. 29 years old. He's an extroverted man who treats Alisha like a younger sister and is youthful in appearance (and personality). He's not blood-related to Alisha at all, but he is the Healer who both diagnosed Alisha as a child and taught her everything she knows of Healing.

Infinite - Sunggyu | Woohyun | Sungyeol | Sungjong | Myungsoo (L) | Howon (Hoya) | Dongwoo
Block B - Kyung | Yukwon | Minhyuk (B-Bomb) | Jihoon (P.O) | Jiho (Zico) | Jaehyo | Taeil

Dae Guk Nam Ah (DGNA)/The Boss - Suhoon (Mika) | Hyunchul (Karam) | Hyunmin | Injoon | Jihwan (Jay)
Personality: Suhoon is a man who is arrogant, but in a blunt yet apathetic manner.  He is the type who is straightforward almost to a fault, and he is a guy who is confident of his appearance and control of his Earth powers.  He's the type who would react to insults with acerbic comebacks in monotone.
Back-Up Partner: (just in case.)

Infinite - Sunggyu | Woohyun | Sungyeol | Sungjong | Myungsoo (L) | Howon (Hoya) | Dongwoo
Block B - Kyung | Yukwon | Minhyuk (B-Bomb) | Jihoon (P.O) | Jiho (Zico) | Jaehyo | Taeil
2PM - Junsu | Junho | Chansung | Nichkhun | Taecyeon | Jaebeom | Wooyoung
Dae Guk Nam Ah (DGNA)/The Boss - Suhoon (Mika) | Hyunchul (Karam) | Hyunmin | Injoon | Jihwan (Jay)

Back-Up Partner's Personality: Sungyeol is an amiable troublemaker above all else; he claims it's always in good fun.  He doesn't ever intend to harm people, but he often tricks people by using his power over Fire.  He's childish and immature, but he knows when to focus and get the job done.  More than anything, he's competitive and has the drive to emerge victorious over anyone else.
First Impressions:

  • Suhoon - "Wow, this guy is super pretty.  He's almost like a girl!  But his eyes are so scary, ack!" (Her first impression is that Suhoon is a man to be feared, because his eyes always seem to be watching her.)
  • Sungyeol - "Ah, this guy seems like a good kid...  Wait, he's from District Five?  That means that he's a Fire wielder!" (Her first impression is that Sungyeol's an amicable fellow, but since he can control fire, he is someone to be feared.)

How You Met:

  • Suhoon - Alisha is gazing up at the stars, when she realizes that she's lost track of her fellow Healer.  While searching for her partner, she gets caught in a trap laid out by Suhoon.  Alisha doesn't want to die just yet, so she begs Suhoon to let her go.  Suhoon acquiesces, but only on one condition...  That Alisha satisfy his every whim and desire.
  • Sungyeol - Alisha is trying to catch up on some sleep, when she's woken up by a sudden increase in temperature.  She looks around and realizes that someone started a campfire underneath the tree she had been sitting/sleeping in.  She tentatively jumps down and lands atop a wounded Sungyeol, who had been trying to dress his wound by the light of the fire.  Since Alisha's so caring and pretty much treats friends and foes alike, she offers to help and heals Sungyeol's wound.  After Sungyeol is fully healed, Sungyeol proposes that the two become allies and travel together.
