Boredom edition

Kpop Q&A:

So, I’m at my parent’s house and have become increasingly bored as time goes on so I have been perusing the blog section and reading people’s responses to Kpop Q&A things and I thought hey, this is actually interesting to think about. So I thought I would make a kind of combined kpop Q&A out of different ones I have seen, all the credit to the people I probably copied but I have no idea where most of these came from, sorry. Feel free to answer these yourself in the comments or in your own blogs. I love seeing other people’s responses to these types of things.

Kaddiction: A History

When did you start listening to Kpop?: June 2012

How did kpop enter your life?: Youtube. I was bouncing around, I think it involved Naruto and Death Note AMV’s somehow and then suddenly… *sings A Whole New World with great enthusiasm*

What happened next?: An entire summer of absorbing every kpop video and group in sight…ahh, memories.

How did you discover new kpop?: a combination of random happenstance and EYK Music Mondays.

What about other forms of entertainment?: Started by watching things that groups I liked were on and things that I kept seeing people online mention.

Any regrets?: Oh, so many and yet…none at all J

 

The Firsts:

First group: Big Bang

First song: Fantastic Baby

First MV: Fantastic Baby

First bias: TOP

*First boy group would go here if not for my above answers

First girl group: 2NE1

First song: Ugly                                                                                                

First MV: I am the Best (I didn’t figure out Ugly had a video until later than I care to admit)

First bias: Bom

First K-drama: Boys over Flowers (It took me three times to get through the series…So corny, I love it but alas…I get second hand embarrassment a whole lot easier than I get embarrassed myself)

First K-variety show: Running Man (The Big Bang Episodes! After which I became thoroughly addicted for reasons I’ll get into in the Favorites section)

First K-music show: Inkigayo

First Kpop related mental breakdown: realizing that TOP had a Solo MV! ~Turn it up loud, turn it up loud!~ (The second was the discovery of the magical place we call AFF…my first and last love, fanfiction)

First person you talked about kpop to: My Mom. I was forcing her to help me choose a TOP background for my phone within 12 hrs of the discovery. (She still doesn’t care a about it though)

 

The Favored Few:

Ultimate Kpop Bias: Sunggyu (Hamster baby)

Ultimate Bias(yes, in  my world there is a difference): Lee Kwangsoo!!!!!!!!! (My giraffe overlord/favorite person in existence)

Favorite Song: Hole in your Face-Phantom (There is no replacing this song in my heart, none, EVER. Understood?)

Favorite Kpop MV: Ugh, I have to choose? Ummm…This Love-Shinhwa (Gorgeous men vogueing for the camera? What more is there to life?)

*I am changing all of the following bests to favorites because I believe that they are subject to taste and that it is misleading to say that I think they are the best in their field.

Favorite Male Dancer: Hyunseung (B2ST, Troublemaker)

Favorite kpop song (excluding ultimate favorite): Day by Day- MyName (feat. D.O.)

            Non-idols: a different subsection (K-indie, k-hiphop, really tricky to decide if Kpop or no)

Favorite Korean group: Ever? Of all time? Umm…Nell…no, wait…Rude Paper…no…Nell, or Rude Paper, or Nell, or…I think you get the point. I can’t make the choice.

Favorite Rapper: Male-Tablo*, Female-Tasha (*I can’t figure out whether to call Epik High kpop or k-hiphop they kind of bounce but I went with the idol definition of Kpop and I cannot call Epik High Idols.)

Favorite Vocalist: Koonta (Rude Paper) He could sing me the telephone book in Swahili and I would die a happy woman.

Favorite MV: Vintage Man- Kim Ji Soo

Favorite Song: True Romance- Drunken Tiger (feat. Tasha)

          TV: yet another subsection

Favorite K-Drama: Hmm, this is tricky. I think it is turning out to be Gapdongi even though I haven’t finished it. Lee Joon makes homicidal sociopath look great. I mean…plot, yeah, the plot is cool.

Favorite K-Sitcom: Vampire Idol. Because reasons. Reasons that are not the pretty men…definitely not…I would never. In other news, Teen Wolf has an amazing plotline as well. (This may seem random but there is a link in my mind. A very tenuous, eyebrow related, link but a link all the same)

Favorite K-Variety Show: Running Man. I live for this show and the perfection that is Kwangsoo.

Favorite Music Show: Inkigayo. I don’t really know why but I just prefer watching it over others.

 

Currently…:

Listening to: She’s Mine-Ukiss

Watching: Kpop reaction videos (until I started doing this) and Criminal Minds 

Thinking about: Kevin Unni becoming Kevin Appa. (Stupid After School Club making it impossible to not think about that every time I hear his voice.
