synopsis: rap monster a.k.a kim namjoon has never loved anyone before. he was isolated from everyone for they misunderstood them as they thought that he is a dangerous person; a gangster or a yankee but not to thalia who doesn't judge people from their cover, she always get to know them first. as they get to know each other more, namjoon suddenly feels this weird feeling and asks his friends; suga & jin for help which jin remarked "you, my friend; have fallen in love with that girl." 

the story goes on with him figuring out his true feeling and same goes with thalia who had a bad past in relationships and is scared to be in another relationship again (insert some pushing & pulling) he then start creating a r&b ballad to confess to her and poof they got together.

personality:

people will say that she is very cheerful by her first impression . when you say hi to her , she light up her radiant smile and cheerfully say hi back . she'll be the moodmaker in her group of friends , cracking up jokes and light up the mood. if one of her friends are sad over a break-up of something , she'll cheer them up in no time . she makes friends easily and is down-to-earth too so when you go deeper into knowing her , you'll find out that she has a caring heart and a good listener , always helping anyone in any way she can but she can be too nice sometimes which is kind of a flaw to her. she is the girl who likes outdoor activities like flying fox , hiking , rock climbing and etc but she loves swimming best. as she always said that water is her element. thalia loves to challenge herself and that's what made her fearless. she loves animals so much that she can even sleep with a tiger beside her.

thalia loves art in different aspects like literature and photography for example . she just loves how the plot blends in with the story well with the poems and rhymes altogether & how the pictures seems natural with her shots look beautiful.. she can create song lyrics and melodies out of the blue and then she'll quickly write it down not wanting to forget it. that's right , she is very artistic. sometimes , thalia can be very stubborn when she believes that she's right and fights till the end. sometimes, she can be quite a pessimist at times but she calls it 'knowing her place' in the situation. she will daydream and imagine lots of things that she can randomly come to you and say "pikachu" all the sudden. another trait of hers is her unpredictable self , people can never expect her to do something out of ordinary. like she can be good at something immediately , laugh at random times (but not serious times) , dance out from nowhere and so on.

she is a good organizer and pays attention to every detail when she's working or focusing on things. she can know a person's personality in a flash , for there are times where she quiets down and observe everyone around her. style: her style is quite easy actually; it's comfy. she's not the girl who likes revealing most parts of her body. patterns likes stripes or top designs that spark up her eye are her kind of liking. for casual, she'll hit it off with a sweater or a top paired with skinny jeans or just plain jeans. but mostly with shorts for it'll be easier for her to change whenever she wants to swim. once in a while, she'll match her outfit with her friend's outfits as well. 

appearance: short and but not really petite, thalia stands at about 165cm and weighs at 47kg. she has long, brown and wavy hair that reaches arouns her chest. she sometimes let her hair down but it'll mostly be tied up into a messy bun or a high up ponytail.her skin is not that tanned for her skin can stand heat well (the perks of being a swimmer)

family background:

thalia was born in malaysia, in her mother's hometown in penang (a state). she grew up learning how to swim from a young age around 4 years old. even though she is quite different, she blends in well in malaysia that made her parents relieved to see their daughter being happy and free. sometimes, she wonders off on how her life would be if she had more siblings. 

at the age of 9 years old, her family and her moved to seoul on following her dad who wanted to live near his parents and take care of them as well. so her new life starts there; speaking korean and etc. her grandfather mostly mentored her on swimming and her grandmother taught her how to sing. so this basically builds up her talent list.

surprisingly, her friends around her welcomed her in open arms and you could say that all is well. of course, she had been in some relationships before and it didn't well in some of her relationships as well. it's either the guy always cheat on her or the guy just doesn't like her anymore. and with that, she comes into a conclusion that dating is just a waste of time but she still believes in love and hopes to find it one day. 

she got into korea university through her swimming scholarship which helps her parents from paying a lot. when she first enrolled into college, thalia was really eager to get to know with her roomates. she is the caring and the one who the girls can ask for advice or tell her their problems and she'll help them in any way she can.

At a glance, Namjoon is quite a scary guy; always puts up a solemn face and orders everyone around. he is very passionate into music and rapping as he likes to create his own songs & raps from time to time. Unpretentious and honest, he has a blunt nature that sometimes irks people around him. He gives pure sarcastis comments that only Thalia, Suga & Jin can outwit him back. 

But the real Kim Namjoon is actually way different than that, he only shows his other side to his family & Jin. Seeing him smile is quite rare so does him laughing away. He is really kind and a warm person too. To his close ones, they describe him as a caring and sassy guy who just loves to play around and have fun. 

As Jin said, he can be quite forgetful and tends to forget the things that he borrows; causing him to forgot giving them back. He sometimes tends to act with his emotions instead of thinking it first; same goes for talking and his words can really hurt.

how will you meet:

They first met in the cafe where she first signed up for the vacant spot of a performer there. Namjoon is one of the waiters & performer there; he performs in a duo with Jin. He raps and Jin sings. The owner asked Suga, Jin & him to evaluate her based on her singing skills and so he randomly pushed her onto the stage and orders her to sing 3 songs.

Thalia took a deep breathsand immediately calmed down. She asked the guitarist near her to play "Mean" and then sang Younha's "The reason why we broke up" & finally IU's "Good Day" which wowwed everyone in the cafe including the duo and the owner.

After performing, she get applauds and some even gave her a standing ovation. The owner immediately hire her and Suga just swing an arm over her shoulder and said "Welcome to the ____ Family" , Jin giving her a thumbs up with Namjoon rolling his eyes.

As Namjoon is quite the kind of guy which is one of the most cold-blooded man on Earth but not to thalia, she only sees him as a acquaintance at first but it slowly changes when she gets to know him more. The two of them enjoy each other's company and he doesn't really acts all evil towards her. He mostly shows her his other side which is the real him and pretty much hidden from other people except for his close friends who knows him well.

You have no idea on how they communicate. Both of them like doing that to confuse people around them. From Korean to english and then poof back to Korean.thalia sees a guy who has so much potential as a person and she sees someone who is dark-humored, cold and distant but also deep and complex. And Thalia is drawn to that. She's ultimately drawn to the complexity of Namjoon, she finds him interesting and intriguing. In a way, Namjoon is kind of a mystery to her; that makes her wanting to solve this person. And what she has managed to do over a period of time, is crack open Kim Namjoon naturally and see the true and real individual that he is underneath. And guess what? Thalia LOVES that person, that individual whom Namjoon has kept hidden forever, she accepts that individual as well.

Thalia knows Namjoon, because she understands him in ways that most people don't. And when she challenges him naturally and indirectly the way she does, it works. As they also challenge one another, they bring each other back down to reality and call each other out on their facades. And they do it without dictating or trying to control each others lives in any way and appreciate one another. The two of them have a lot of self-loathing at times. Thalia has always felt second-best in her relationships and Namjoon adopted a whole new persona just to feel accepted amongst his peers. They both say to one another ‘Hey, you’re a wonderful person and I accept you.’ They represent the idea that two completely opposite people can still form a relationship, despite class differences or prejudices against them. These two people are from two different worlds and yet they have a lot in common.
