At first glance, Lilou is seen as a pretty face with almost nothing else being taken into account. In fact, there are many sides to Lilou: the happy child, the quiet genius, the caring leader, the protective mother, the loving girlfriend, the kind volunteer, and the inspiring idol.
The Happy Child. Being the youngest meant that Lilou got away with quite a bit growing up. She could play little jokes and pin the blame on her siblings since "she was the baby and didn't know any better." The not knowing any better was an act that was soon overthrown by her intelligence showing through. She still holds onto some of the joking nature, but it only shows around children or the youngest group members.
The Quiet Genius. Lilou was intelligent from a young age and knew how to use her brain. Often called a bookworm by her peers, she was never late to answer a question, and she could do long equations in her head at a young age. She progressed through school quicker than any of her siblings, and loved the feeling of being smart. It did, however, make her a bit blunt in her words. She still has trouble thinking before speaking, and sometimes can seem offensive even though she's trying not to be.
The Caring Leader. As a leader, Lilou is responsible and caring. She worries for her group members and the health of the group as a whole - not just physical, but mental as well. She tries to make sure everyone stays happy and healthy, though when a member gets sick or if they're fighting, she feels as though she has failed them. She'll beat herself about it, but she'll do it in private. Though she trusts her group members with things such as her life, she doesn't want them to see her in her weakest state, though she knows she can't hide her negative feelings and problems forever.
The Protective Mother. Going along with being a leader, Lilou sees her group members as her children and will take care of them as such. She'll cook for them and worry over them and make sure they have everything they need before worrying about herself.
The Loving Girlfriend. Though sometimes Lilou has trouble expressing herself, she does have a rather healthy relationship and she's a very loving and kind significant other. She takes care of him and even sometimes lets him take care of her.
The Kind Volunteer. Ever since she was able, Lilou has been helping out at animal shelters, retirement homes, hospitals, etc. She donates part of the money she earns as an idol to various charities. She has a big heart, and she's even sometimes seen helping people in grocery stores or across the street. She was raised to treat others with kindness and respect until they give her a reason to treat them otherwise.
The Inspiring Idol. Through how she treats her members and how fans see her in public and her generous donations, they see her as a role model. When meeting fans, Lilou says only positive things and focuses the attention on the fan in front of her as if they're they only person she sees. Every fan she meets receives a unique experience, and Lilou is always sure to make the fans feel special because they are what keep the group going.
All in all, Lilou is a kind and mature young woman with some slight self-esteem issues and some problems with expressing herself properly. Though, when she does finally open up, it's a whole new level of trust and love. She never seems closed off until someone sees her fully open.

» Background

Lilou was born as the youngest of five children to a stable family in Paris, France. The family actually lived in Abbeville, where her father - a Korean man - had moved after he fell in love with a beautiful French woman.
For the first few years of her life, Lilou was in and out of hospitals due to ear infections and terrible tantrums caused by the pain she was in. When she was three, a terrible infection-caused illness left her mostly deaf in both ears. Between the ages of three and five, Lilou learned sign language and taught herself to read. She took in every book she came across and became more intelligent by the day. At the age of five, shortly after her birthday, she was fitted with hearing aids since it was determined that the infections and such had stopped permanently. Once she could hear again, Lilou took an interest in music and books on tape. She listened to everything she could get her hands on. She began singing and dancing, and at the age of seven, her family moved from Abbeville, France, to Ilsan, South Korea.
Lilou was picked on at first at her new school, since her Korean was accented and she had her hearing aids, but she soon made friends and she was left alone. She found her place in life, and quite liked it.
One of the friends she made was a young boy named Nam Jin Woo. He was intrigued by the new girl and the two soon began to teach each other so many things. Lilou taught him sign language and Jin Woo helped Lilou get rid of her accent when speaking Korean. They grew up together as best friends; other people came and went in their life and they helped each other through heart break over and over again. When Lilou and Jin Woo were eighteen, just after graduating high school, they took a trip to the United States before they had planned on going to university. They got matching tattoos and entered a dance competition just for fun. They enjoyed the dancing and the adrenaline so much that they made a pact.
When they returned home, they would accompany each other to auditions, and if they failed the auditions they would go to university. They kept their pact, and were both accepted to the same company.
On Lilou's nineteenth birthday - also Valentine's day - after almost twelve years of being best friends, Jin Woo asked Lilou to be his girlfriend. They've been happy and stable ever since. Both families approve of them being together and are just waiting for an engagement, a wedding, and then grandchildren. The families understand them putting their careers first, but still pick at the both of them.

Jin Woo is a bit of a jokester, despite his appearance. He looks dark and broody, but really his laugh can brighten anyone's day. He's kind and sweet and friendly. On the surface, it seems as if the two are opposites, but really it works. Lilou keeps Jin Woo grounded, and Jin Woo helps Lilou open up and have fun and be comfortable. They're basically perfect for each other. Jin Woo is protective of her in public and stays near her at all times. They've been together since they were trainees, so they've never felt the need to keep their relationship a secret.
Having been bes friends since they were seven years old, they usually don't even need words to communicate with each other, which confuses some people, but amuses Lilou and Jin Woo. They're very close and very cute. They try to keep their displays of affection private, but sometimes they'll kiss or curl up against each other when people are around.
Netizens have tried to start many rumours that the two are expecting a child, but none of them have been true. Yet.
