Me: *panics* Mom!! DON'T TAP IT SO HARD!! THERE'S A REASON THEY INVENTED THOSE THINGS ON THE BOTTOM!! *takes laptop away* now what's the problem? *sees page* 
Mother: I can't load Facebook!! *huffs* 
Me: ... *clicks Refresh* *gives laptop back* 
Mother: *clicks her wanted link* Oh! Okay! Thanks!

Mother: *is listening to my iPod using my earphones* 
Me: *plays music not that loud on laptop*
Mother: *pauses iPod* sweetie?
Me: *stops playing laptop* *turns* ...Yes...? 

Mother: What's that sound? 
Me: ... My laptop...?
Mother: Well lower down your volume! I can hear it too! Clashes with the soothing music I'm playing here! 
Me:... Wha... *thinks- why can't she just turn up her volume?!* 

*still does as told* *thinks- you won this time around Mom*
