My Thoughts About Kris/EXO

The following blog post is about my thoughts on the matter with Kris possibly leaving EXO. These are my thoughts and are in no way trying to offend anyone.

First I will start of saying that I'm not quite divulged into the EXO fandom, I'm not die-hard EXO fan, so some facts might be wrong from what I am saying. While I love EXO as a group and deeply respect them, I am vey aloof to their fandom, that being because I didn't feel comfortable with some of the EXO fans. I'm sorry, but I do respect all of you. I love EXO's music, it's fun and new, but I can't bring myself to BE in the fandom.

I've been with EXO since their debut and it's very disheartening to see this piece of news, more so because Kris is one of my favourites out of the twelve. While I cannot be proud nor disappointed in his decision, I'm just in the middle. I'm proud of him for doing this but I can't say that this piece of action is excusable because it isn't. This came out of nowhere. Absolutely nowhere. And what's worse is that they're in a middle of a comeback. It's just a sudden wake-up call to all fans that made an uproar. That being said, I would like to point out the while Kris is an idol, he is also a human being. Which means as humans, they make indecisions and mistakes. Maybe Kris feels that being an idol is not what he wants. And we can't force him. We have remember that sometimes life isn't as forgiving as others, sometimes they think this is the life that they want but as they get further and further into it, they realise it's not them. Remember U-KISS's Dongho?

Second, Suho's speech. I can't say I believe it or not. We don't know, there's not enough evidence surrounding it. We saw it on an article. But I will say one thing, that speech feels highly scripted and as a leader of a group I don't think he'll put the blame on his fellow member/leader. So for that we only have to wait and see.

In the gist of this, I just want to tell you guys that these people that we look up to are idols. Meaning they have to keep a certain image, and while it might look like they're okay, sometimes they're not. They're humans, they're people. They have feelings, dreams, aspirations. They make mistakes, indecisions, choices, just like the rest of us. We'll just have to see what's true or not. We just have to believe in them. We just have to be there for them. We just have to support them, because that's all we can do. We can't force them to make their decisions for them.

That being said, I wish them all the luck. I love them, so so much. OT12 all the way.

That's it, have a nice day :)

I like your view. I'm the same- I listen to EXO and like them but I'm not a major fan. I think the thing that really annoys me about all of this is all the SMENT hate. Yes sometimes an idol's life or schedule isn't always fair, but companies have these rules to avoid scandals and to keep their idol's safe.
I do think Kris is being a bit.... not unfair but... what's the word.... unreasonable I guess to file this law suite right after their comeback. But I think if he really is unhappy, like Dongho was, he should leave and lve his life how he wants. All these 'fans' unfollowing him and hating SM really upsets me. They're making it more dramatic than it need to be.
