When did you first start reading/writing fanfiction?

idk i started with naruto maybe in 6th grade and kpop in 2012..... so like a year later

What’s the first fanfiction you ever read/wrote? What is it about?

some naruto on deviantart; i loved it so much, and i lost the link one day and i spent like 2 years looking for it and by that time the author said she was taking it down so i saved as much of it to my computer as i could.  it was sasunaru.  it was the most marysue and cliche stuff ever but i loved it so much

What ratings do you read/write?

teen, probably.  why does the text keep changing size here it's irritating me.  likw 13+ or

snk fics are usually of good quality, and spn fics are nice too.  i havent checked up on naruto yet.  but um  kpop yes right.  nowadays i dont read anything unless it's my otp or unless it's really well written

don't like supernatural things...vampires, werewolves.....angels sometimes

not romantic/compelling to me, kind of overdone

also breakup stories....like obviously you broke up because youre not compatible together...whoever thinks it's.....like romantic...chivalrious...., compelling that you get so stuck or hurt or whatever on someone who you weren't fit for.....

it doesn't make sense to me.

marissa meyer and vee

meyer with her storytelling/plot, and the way everything just flows, and the way she develops characters

vee for her incanny ability with description and dialogue bc she doesn't write action/adventure but still spins a compelling story

 

What story has the most impact to you, so much that you remember it all the time?

supernatural stuff, unless it's SUPERNATURAL you know?

uh, angst, like i said, im a happy ending kind of person

like emotion heavy stories with little or no action

 

What do you enjoy best about fanfiction in general?

the ability of amature authors to express themselves.  just because they dont have the ability or time or will to publish a real book doesnt mean they're not worth reading

 

Do you have any fanfiction pet peeves?

here, it's the out of context use of korean words, the plugging in of username for actual name, the whole ______ or ~~~~ thing for a name

when people dont punctuate dialogue correctly

 

Does the number of reviews tell how good a story is?

no the quality of the reviews does.....

 

How long should a chapter be?

im saying ~2000-3000 words for the average writer

ofc mine are around 5000-8000 but thats because ive got quite a story to tell

my profile says 10 but really, 6.  and 3 of them are ongoing and 1 of the 3 im mostly likely going to discontinue.  maybe.

if you really talking everything then, definition of blind, at 120976 words (i have around half of those amount of words actually published, but it is all crap which is why im rewriting the whole thing.  an unwise decision by me, but why the hell did i think it was a good idea trying to write this at first attempt

At the moment, which one of your fanfictions is your favorite/you are the most proud of? (you can include unpublished fanfictions)

definion of blind, lmao, that is not even a quesiton

tillynilly knows how much i love that story

because do you know how much planning went into it

i mean, the majority of the planning happened after i wrote most of part 1 and there fore made me consider rewriting the whole thing because it was incompetent but still

it's scary too because the idols in that story are to me, my characters, and they have a life and personality of their own in my head, completely seperate from the actual world idols, and that might get a little dangerous

i love dob so much tho im writing a whole full fledged chaptered fanfic so i can practice my writing to be perfect for dob....becaus ei don't wannt to screw up again

Out of all characters you have written, which one do you feel you identify the most with?

um, sehun in definition of blind

yeah  i killed him off and stuff but i loved his character.  no, he wasn't based off me...

haha, i've had three.

mia and liz for definition of blind, and anna for moonlighter, which will come out soon...

pitty though i wanted to continue the three lettered beta name thing.  (mei u up for this lmao i doubt you're even reading this i doubt anyone is)

What warnings have you used on your stories?

Gore/violence/character death/language/confusion

and then later, i took down the confusion part because you really shouldn't confuse your readers

 

Do reviews affect how you write in any way?

kiiinda

if the reviewer goes all out, then it doesn't matter if it was negative or positive.  i just love that they talked so much about my story and went to the lengths they did to analyze it.  i love it when people talk about my characters

if the review is , then ill solict whatever info i can from it and run knowing the reviewer is probably not qualified

 

What makes you happy the most as a writer?

people talking about my characters ok.  my characterssssssssssssssssss

if they can talk about them, then it means ive brought them to life properly

 

Do you generally outline your fanfictions or do you prefer to write spontaneously then revise?

it depends.  for dob, i had several nonlinear scenes that needed a story to connect them, so i made dob.  no solid outline for dob has been written, but a very very loose one has been written for the 10 parts

for moonlighter, it's very different.  im using the 3 act, 9 block, 27 chapter outline, and it's working very very well.  im writing the first draft and it seems to be smooth sailing

Do you have any certain ritual to do before/while/after you write?

have the google docs tab open everyday to guilttrip me, and click onto it every time im taking a break from aff or tumblr and just stare at what i have written

it doesnt work and so i usually have writing spurts like once every two weeks

i try to read some books in my genre, or read reviews or people's praise on othe stories to get my fire going

 

Do you actively advertise your story or request for reviews/upvotes?

i advertised dob once and you know what's so .  i bid like for a week to get that ad and then i just got pissed so i bought some more karma and the day i actually get, aff is having issues so dob got 7 hours lopped off its alotted time.  luckily, the author who got the time i paid for was super nice about it and stuff but damnit aff.  the helpers didn't acknowledge me nor the m rated bid winner

im still pissed about it

 

but reviews, yes, because my commenters aren't very active, so i require an indepth outside opinion
