Stories Reality (A must read to all authors out there!)

 

"A good story does not depend on it ending, but it depends on its storyline."

 

Agree?

    Well, I agree with this one. Of course, when you are reading a story you want a good and happy ending. (like a princess lives happily with the handsome prince in a massive candy castle on the white fluffy cloud.)  However, some creative authors doesn't care about the ending. Well, for sure they are gonna make a good ending too but the most important thing is the storyline; the way the story builds up.

    Because the plot is the one that brings the readers to love the story. If the storyline , no one is gonna read it right? Even though it has an awesome ending. But, I don't think a crap storyline will have a good ending. :/

   

I had just realized this logic while playing one visual novel game. The storyline is so awesome. The characters are interesting and almost flawless, the fantasy that the writer writes is very good and we the readers/gamers can feel the amazingness of the story. It is totally good! Highly recommended. xD

    The ending is good too. But, it is not like what I expected it would be. God, heck to that. I'm not the writer right? So, just accept what already been given. ==" But still, I am satisfied with the game. :)

 

I just want to share this thing with all of you. Since I thought maybe there are some who have the same thoughts with me. ^^

 

   Last but not least, wish me luck for my fic. The 1 week holiday is coming and I will continue the story. ;)

Which one did yoo guys prefer?

  A  a good storyline with a poor ending (not a bad one. but just like what did i had just said; not like what you expect.)

  B  a poor storyline but with a great ending.

As a reader point of view, I prefer a good story line. Rather than having a good ending but the story line are like crap i will definitely drop halfway, and for sure I will not see their 'good' ending. so for me the story line is important. i will forever and always remembered the scenes they portrayed in their stories. That what makes me go back and read it all over again. It happened to me so many times already. One that I always go back and read again and again is the stories from Lonerhoper.
All of her stories I read like thousand times already, especially When GD=baby.. literally, Little MISS Big Bang.. Ahh that stories are so good! See like right now, I feel like I wanna go and read it again..

A good ending is a must.. Good ending doesn't mean a happy ending if you get what I mean. Bad ending will spoiled the entire story no matter how thrill the story was. That's what I feel when I read the fic or novel. A bad ending is a waste if my time imo. Eg. The story built up and everything was awesome where the characters really do everything to survive but finally the ending was everybody dies anyway. What a waste of my emotions and time. Well, that's my personal opinion.

So, I will always choose a good ending if I was press to choose between two.

a I chose. because who cares of good endings with crap storylines? if it is so damn bad, I would drop it halfway before I even know the endings.

Ah let's have this. It's a matter of reader's preference.

In my point of view if you can expect/foresee or even had a hold of idea on the ending of the story, doesn't that bore you out completely?

The story line is what gets the readers to feel the thrill of the story, a good ending is what makes gives the readers the feeling of satisfaction. :D

To me I prefer a good story line with a bad ending if pressed to choose :D in the context it's an ending i do not expect, I consider it marvelous! :D haahhaaha. I enjoy thrills when reading :D

hmmm,ihave different opinion...even the storyline is good,but the ending is poor,i think i wont appreciate it much because the ending should be good to give satisfaction to the readers..its like u go all dramatic in the storyline n then the ending is just meh...then i would be very sad because i lost my expectation on that story..good story line gave reader high expectation for the ending..so when its not meeting with that demand,readers lost interest and will skip to read the ending when they feel to read the story again..am i making sense? lol..just my honest opinion on this.. ^^

i mean how come that poor story line has a great ending? a poor story line is poor, its weak, and the ending will be just as poor as the story line

to me i think i prefer tragic ending, instead of twisted ending ... because with twisted ending, i feel like being cheated during the whole process of the story line
have you ever watched 'the game' movie?
the story line is amazing, everything is just suspenseful, that makes you to hold your breath
but the ending ruins it for me

(i dont want to spoil it)
there are actually 2 endings ... first someone dies (tragic), second its a twisted ending without any death/ but you are being cheated
but i prefer the first ending, because it is how an ending is supposed to be
