YOU MUST BE SUBSCRIBED Rule is annoying!

don't get mad at me for complaining but somehow i am not a huge fan of recent changes in AFF, especially the one where we have to subscribe to a story to review it. if i don't know what the story is about and how well its written, why should i subscribe. i feel like this takes away reader's freedom.

i often feel readlly sad because i subscribe to a story, but after reading a chapter or two i realize that its not my style, so then i have to unsubscribe which makes it very difficult for me...i just don't want the suthors observe the process of readers subscribing and unsubscribing.

i don't know, am i the only one who feels this way or do you guys also feel burdened by it as well? is there any recent changes that bother you guys?

yes,yes,YESSS I'm so botherd by this too.Completely had the same feeling!It's more annoying when the story is just a one shot :|
Serouisly you can't force people to like your story.We subscribe a story when we like it(DUH!)...fair enough right?
I want to subscribe when I LIKE to not when I'm FORCEd to.

omg yes,i feel so stupid when i have to unsubscribe just because i thought the story sounded interesting and then meh,i don't like it
and it feels like the author is watching you subscribe and unsubscribe and judging you xD
but like teukie-oppa said,since few days ago,you can read a bit of the story without subscribing so i guess that kinda makes up for the whole thing you know

I agree with you! I don't like having to subscribe to view something and then turning out really not liking it and wanting to unsubscribe. I feel it's rude and I can actually never unsubscribe from anything I've subscribed to because I'd hate people doing that to me. >:/

well, as an author I personally like this rule only because there are the readers out there who read and mostly enjoy the story without subscribing, along with the readers who don't have an AFF account who read the stories without actually showing the author they enjoyed it.
I agree with most of what you're saying, because its suffocating to have to unsubscribe later :(

But with the recent updates, readers can now preview chapters to see what the story is like, and if they wanted to continue they would have to subscribe. Which now, is really handy because you get the idea how the story is written and how well it's written without having to fully subscribing to a story.
