[RANT Alert!] EatYourKimchi's New Video.

*Go watch the video if you haven't before you read my rant because I don't want your opinion to be affected after reading mine.*

FIRST OF ALL. I AM A FAN OF ALL THREE GROUPS AND I DON'T USUALLY GET BUTTHURT IN SITUATIONS LIKE THIS BUT I FELT THE NEED TO WRITE A RANT AND JUST LET MY FEELINGS OUT.

Here is my Youtube comment on their video and I just want to say some things to support that a bit.

Let's start with the basics, about how everyone in the comments were saying things like "Oh I find this hilarious! You guys are overreacting and getting offensive easily." Okay, let me just say the one thing I always say when I see people fighting about their opinions... EVERYONE TAKES COMMENTS AND JOKES AT DIFFERENT KIND OF LEVELS. One of us is going to be the one that laughs it off and one of us is going to be me, take it to the heart and actually make rants about these kind of things. Yes, I have that kind of personality.

I don't think EYK understands that not all of us are going to laugh at their jokes like they think we do. You know what, I'm just going to get to my point instead of going around in circles. EYK has changed so much ever since they became "famous Youtubers" and no longer "nobodies." If you guys know what I mean, I think you would somewhat agree with what I'm saying. The idea of popularity and getting everything we want, the attention we seek for, gets in your head when you start seeing that new light, you know? You start thinking, oh they will still like me even if my videos are starting to and I start saying offensive things and labeling them as "jokes" and "opinions." And yes, I know some of you guys are like hardcore Nasties or something, like I used to be, but can you see my point and what I'm trying to get across? Like I don't know, I feel like now they're posting things, thinking they'll get the same reaction but they're not.

EYK is no longer funny to me, I just don't see the humor in their music videos anymore...

Secondly, let's talk about their "review" of the two music videos and how they kind of insulted BTOB. Do you see how BTOB was in the title but did you even hear anything about them except that they're boring and "no need to review them, let's just add them in the title for a little more attention." Sure, BTOB's music video wasn't as excited and dramatic as the other two, but did you REALLY have to put them in the title if you're not going to say a single thing about them?

The part that set me off was when Martina was comparing the BTS video with BAP and called them " ." Let's just have a moment for my soul to calm down.... Okay, first of all. Are you sure you've seen the music video or did you just look at the couple of screenshots and assume they were crying because they're just "p*****s"?

I don't think they've seen the music video enough times to actually see and understand the storyline... and even myself don't have the best idea about what the music video was about but I've seen enough to realize that the two videos were the complete opposite with each other and BAP doesn't deserve to be called that horrible name for showing the concept of what they are promotion. And here's my question...what is so wrong with men crying? Do you really have the call them that because they cried in the music video? Uh... I think that was their concept. I don't think they would get personal screentime where they smile and do winks and have aegyo like the usual videos when someone in the music video is dying.

No Simon, he's not just "digging" and he's not just dramatically punching the wall. I'm just so done... it wasn't funny.

Now to the part where the fans are dramatic. Let's be honest here, most of us are hypocrites and I think some of the commenters would flip out too if their favorite group was called them. Like I've said before, most of us take comments and jokes at different levels so you can't expect someone to not be offended that something you thought was funny. I personally think that yes, for the most part maybe we are overreacting, but couldn't they have put it in another way...say something that isn't too offensive and maybe somewhat insulting ladies, because I HATE when people use "p***y" to call someone a wimp or something.

I just don't know... I think I'm done for now. Maybe I'll edit this later and add more but I'm gonna stop here. Tell me what you guys thought of the video. My sister said it wasn't offensive to her and that we're overrreacting but it's her opinion anyways.

EDIT: I have another thing to say! When Martina was talking about bands changing their image and that she'll find another band to listen to if BTS started singing ballads and crying. OMFG. Don't expect a band to stick with that concept forever? Changing their style and trying new music is how they keep their careers moving and I don't think that was right to say that. That's what every band does and I think it's just wrong. That's like me telling you to stop making videos because you keep on changing the concept and saying that I won't ever watch your videos again because now you're not doing what you did last week.

But seriously, after this video, I don't think there is much about EatYourKimchi that I could talk about anymore. I don't know if I should unsubscribe because I want to see if they're ever going to talk about this topic any further and maybe do some explaination, but for now, I'm pretty done.

I really don't think the acronym 'joke' as all that funny when I took a look at it. Usually I pay no attention to stuff like this, but this one was just not cool. What's so ' like' of them crying in a mv? Lots of male artists cry in music videos, it's just an MV for gosh sakes and it's natural to cry if something sad happens! ><

I liked eyk a lot before. Now, I want bad karma to bite both of them. The B.a.p acronym joke went too far. I'm not laughing, Martina.

they do know that they got popular in international kpop fans because of us viewers, right? idk anymore...it's okay. they are nobodies in south korea anyway.

I honestly usually am not offended by this stuff but I do see your point. I don't know why btob was not in this at all, as I am a fan of all three bands. This video wasn't really funny to me either....

I wish they were still nobodies, now they make offensive jokes to get a quick laugh out of people.

I totally agreed, I watched parts of that video earlier today but I couldn't stand it. I was mainly watching it for BtoB's part cause I saw it in the title, but they didnt include BtoB or much of it. Like why would you include BtoB in the title if you dont plan to talk about them? Sigh anyways I feel you. They just aren't as funny as they used to be.

I agree with you, like...I don't hate on EYK and I don't think you do either (i have no idea) but what you said pretty much sums up what I'm thinking as well just a little less...not harsh but in a less criticizing mode if ya know what I mean.

But yeah, you're right. To me, Simon and Martina have exaggerated a bit more than they should have cause I mean, I don't think I've seen any kpop music mondays where they call a band a name like that. And it did disappoint me when Martina called BAP B**** A** P*****S because, as you said, what are they suppose to do when a girl they love, dies? Laugh? Aegyo? If they just keep a depressed expression on their face, it may look boring to some people, even kpoppers. And so crying is the next level and they've reached that level which was awesome. It surprised me and made me proud how both their singing AND ACTING have improved so well!

I'm not totally against to what Simon and Martina are saying, but they didn't have to come so strong even thought they were voicing their own opinions on the two music videos.
But you gotta admit, what Simon said about BTS' hygiene...you can't deny with that one.

I actually kind of wished they stayed as "nobodies". Since they're now famous, they are resorting to using slanderous, offensive jokes to get a quick laugh out of the audience. But as a result, they lose the credibility in which they originally started off with. It's just......no.

I agree so much with you! I thought is was sorta rude to just make a video on the 3 groups, and only include 2 of them... It's sorta an insult to Btob fans... T_T
