Thinking of quitting the fandom

I am honestly sick and tired of the local SONE fandom. I guess this is the time when you hate being a fan more because of your so-called fellow fans rather than the artist themselves.

Don't get me wrong. I love SNSD. I love them to pieces. It's the local SONEs that really gets in my nerves. All those sharing about unconfirmed news and info, all the breaking of the rules in the local discussion group, all the jokes that aren't even funny, all the complaints about their biases not being given enough attention by SMEnt, all the complaints about SNSD not performing in my home country for a solocon, all the ridiculous comments about why they should perform in my home country, all the over over over over the top spazzing that's really excessive.

I tried to reason with them with facts and logic. I tried to reason with them in a professional manner.

 

Nadda.

 

It gets really tiring and frustrating.

Seriously, why don't these people get it? It's ridiculous to see how selfish they are in their being "fans" it sickens me.

So much that I'm thinking of quitting the local fandom. Going through it makes me more stressed than happy. And it really hurts me because I love SNSD so much.

Yes, despite the I'm writing about them, in real life, I love SNSD.

 

I don't know... Maybe I'll just quit.

1) Why the does Dispatch use them to earn money, they are humans, they will find their other half and date, love, kiss, marry, have , have babies and live their lives happily. I find the people from Dispatch disgusting,ed ups, pricks, and s.

If they just report news, It's perfectly fine you know. But the part where they are pricks is that they dig up their past, the part where idols hurt most, their history, their past dates and
everything the idols did for... M.O.N.E.Y . can't they work as other things?! I really despise them. Don't have to judge me. I'm just showing this to express my angered feelings to dispatch.

You just need the right group for it. And I use "group" loosely. You shouldn't feel you need to associate yourself with other people just because they happen to claim a similar interest. Focus on people you can see as friends who also just happen to share the similar interest in question. There are idiot fans for everything out there, but as long as you have a few intelligent ones to talk to, you're all good.

its better for your life and fan life to just ignore all those kinds of fans. we all love soshi one way or the other. I see your situation like your fandom is like your "family" and you want to move away b/c they're so annoying and . cut off everyone who annoys you, thats like one of the best life advices ive ever gotten, they're just toxic and ruin the fun

Here's a quick fix to your problem: Don't get worked up too much on those kinds of people. I've been in the fandom for almost 5 years now and I've seen most of the dramas coming from all directions: haters, trolls, STANDers, even fellow fans. I got mad, irritated, angry, frustrated, everything.

But what kept me in the fandom all those years were my dedication to the girls. Sure I may be erted and all (a side im not willing to show to my real-life kpop friends anytime soon) but my faith on the girls and some of our fellow fans kept me in this fandom.

I hope you reconsider quitting the fandom. Don't get worked up on things that will make you mad.

Of course it makes sense what your saying and you can stop doing whatever it is that makes you have to see the fans like that but that wouldn't mean you don't love them. You can support them in other means. What I'm saying is whatever your choice is and what you think of the girls (SNSD) shouldn't really change.

Oh, I get what you mean. But you should not quit giving your love to the girls just because of some fans? :/ I mean, giving up what you like, just to avoid interacting with these people? Hmm

Meh I gave up on fanclubs for awhile now ^^; Some of the drama just really got to me and I was so sick of hearing fellow fans arguing and fighting over which member is 'better' or more talented. I think all the girls are talented in their own way ^^ I know I sound like a softie saying that but it's how I feel. *sighs* Oh well...I just hope some 'fans', can appreciate all the hard work SNSD put out for us.
