Dream KPop Fantasy Concert 2

DKFC stands for Dream KPop Fantasy. It was held in SMART Araneta Coliseum last Sunday, February 2, 7PM. It's a show produced by MBC, MBC Music, All Access Productions, Tony Moly, and others I don't know because seriously, who cares about this details? So yeah...

This is the fourth KPop concert I've been to and this one, DKFC2, is both the best and the worst.

GENERAL ADMISSION

I'm a full blooded ELF with tinges of Boice, EXOstan, and Lukie. (So if you are one of those immature ELF who hates your co-ELF for being in a multifandom, close this blog and read other things that will help you be a mature earth citizen.) When it was announced that for this year's DKFC, Super Junior M will perform, I had no second thoughts. It was an automatic "It's time to lose weight, missy, and buy a damn ticket.

Since it was just a few months when SuJu last visited my beautiful country, Philippines, I was short of money. They had Super Show 5 and what do you expect from a crazy ELF like me? I bought a Standing VIP ticket that left me with no money plus debts. Super Junior rarely visits my country so I had to go all in for it. What I didn't expect, they'll be back after exactly 100 days! Many ELF had the same problem so many of us agreed to buy the general admission ticket, the cheapest one, and create the sapphire blue ocean there, after all, it's not about us seeing Super Junior, it's Super Junior seeing us. They have to always be reminded the ELF will never leave them.

It was a crazy experience because it was the first time in that section. Fans there are so friendly! We had to line up so connections are really useful in these kinds of things. Plus, chants that are funnier than anything starts in this section. "Bababa kami!" and "Bababa ang Gen. Ad." which both (in a sense) means "We will go down" because believe it or not, the only section that was full of people was Gen Ad. MBC might show clips from the concert showing the audience, and it would look like it was full, no it's wasn't. SVIP, though not entirely full, had an acceptable amount of fans because prior the concert, there was this contest that if you buy those overpriced ticket, you might have the chance to join this fan meeting for Super Junior- M. Lots of fans tried their luck and won. Then there's the other section with just more or less a hundred audience. The coliseum wasn't full so we had to shout that we want to go down and occupy the empty seats. Who doesn't want a free upgrade on your ticket? HAHA! "Maghuhubad si Kyuhyun" or in english "Kyuhyun should strip" because whoever you are who had not imagined what is under Kyuhyun's shirt even once, I tell you, you are lying.

The real fun is in this section!

DREAM KPOP FILIPINO CHAMPION-SAY WUT?!

Really, MBC? I'm not mad or anything at the contestants, it's the MBC i hate for this. Seriously! A simple introduction would do! There were this three guys suddenly singing on stage and we thought it was a K-group, we were damn confused. Many of the audience came to support just a certain artist, applies to me, and didn't know other groups. I thought that was A-Prince or A- Jax. Many of us up there were shouting who they were and nobody could give an answer. A simple introduction would do MBC, a simple introduction!

BTOB

Okay. For one second, I forgot how to breathe. They were the first on stage and I suddenly thought adding Melody/ies(?) to my fandom. The performance were great, they were interacting with the fans, not to mention they look oh-so-good especially Sungjae, the only member I know because he looks like Seo In Guk who I am a huge fan of. Once I looked at him, I forgot the other members (sorry Y___Y) and Seo In Guk (please don't kill me).

If there are Melody/ies out there, introduce to me the members, please!!!!! And another, is it Melody or Melodies? I'm a bit sensitive to the right way of calling fandoms because I was bashed before. Apparently, it's ELF and not ELFs since the fandom means Everlasting Friends and adding /s/ in ELF will make the name of the fandom grammatically wrong. Sometimes, I wonder why am I in this fandom then Kyuhyun's face will pop up in my head and I'll say to myself that I'm here for the members, not the immature fans.

A- JAX

I know this group exists. I was able to watch them on Arirang lots of times before but other than the fact that a group called A- Jax is existing, I know nothing at all and I pity myself for that because their performances are so "Oh my galibels, THAT WAS HOT" but at the same time, "aww that's cute, come to me and let me luurve u"

They also did a cover of SS501’s Love Like This. The audience did the faanchants and because I don’t know it, I sang to it. Me and my ELF friends even did that hand sign in the chorus. It was a blast!

Any fans out there? What is the name of the dude who looks like a mash up of 2PM's Taecyeon and DBSK's Yunho? Also, what's the name of one of the blondes that looks like GOT7’s JB and hits those notes like OMG? They're messing my bias list and I'm calling them A-Jax TaecHo and A-Jax Blondie since the concert.

BLOCK B

My ovaries exploded, need I say more? They performed bunch of lively songs I can't help but momentarily forgot I was saving my voice for SuJu-M and screamed my lungs out because there was no other way to contain the feels. I nearly broke my lightstick with the way I waved them. The girl behind me, I think I hit her face twice on the face. Sorry -______-"

A-PRINCE

Are they a rookie group? Don't get mad at me please because when they came up on stage, I was damn tired from the Block B stage so I badly needed rest. I sat and since I really don't know there color, I waved my BTOB lightstick, same thing with what I did during A-Jax's stage. I was just waving it casually and smiling every now and then because the group are dancing these really power choreographs but they look too cute for their own good! HAHAHA!!! Fans, please, don't be mad at me, and don't kill me, I'll give you my pet cat but I don't have one. Don't get me wrong but I wished they perform cute songs because it will suit them.

AND THEN! And then I got my wish. Most of us in the Gen Ad were already sitting and recharging and were just cheering and shouting for A-Prince. The atmosphere was sort of calm in our section except for the time to time shout because of the cute members until they did song covers. Not just any song cover, but an OPM (a genre that is composed and sung by a Filipino singer, Original Pinoy Music I think is what it stands for). There's this song Nasayo Na Ang Lahat by Daniel Padilla. I don't like Daniel because his eyes remind me of Stich and I don't like Stich (no offense meant if you like Stich.) Daniel is like the Filipino version of Justin Bieber. Only their fans can see what’s good about them and if you're not, you'll end up not caring about them. I've heard the song on the radio countless of times and my blockmates singing it (that's my cue toturn to my forever trustful ipod shuffle full of KPop songs  and white earphones). No matter how much I want to deny it, I know the lyrics of the song and when A-Prince sang it I realized, I do memorize the song HAHAHAHA!!! The momnet the song started the audience got wild! I was sitting and the next thing I knew I was jumping up and down with my SJ and BTOB lightstick and singing along, same thing goes for the whole audience. We sang along with them and no offense meant to Daniel's fans, I LOVE A-PRINCE'S VERSION!!! The song is actually about a guy telling this girl he likes all the things that he likes about her, she's pretty, smart, and kind. Imagine A-Prince, korean idols, singing a song about that to you in your language, now isn't that the cutest thing ever?! URMF And just when we all thought that's it, plot twist, no it isn't. They sang a Filipino variety song entitled "Ocho Ocho" I can't remember what is the lyrics, the most important part of the song is the dance step. Ocho Ocho is a name a dance step where you bend a little to to reach for your knees then move you back up and down, just your back and nothing else. Ok, just search for video because it's sort of hard to explain but really funny when you see it. I was like eight or nine when that dance step got famous and had a song and I do it perfectly. I was a kid and there's nothing embarrassing about doing that when you're in that age.  As times passed by, a lot of different styles of ocho ocho popped out. The dance step is basically just bending down and moving your back up and down. A-Prince won't lose to that! They danced to ocho ocho while we all get wilder than ever. They repeated the chorus many times and dance to it with their fingers pointing the Meteor Garden style (you know that? Or is it just in my country we call it like that? It's when you point from one direction and up to the opposite side, like when you point at a shooting star). My favorite one was when they stood side by side and facing their left, they danced ocho ocho while they're legs open and close making them face their right side. Just imagine how ASDFGHJKL it was when they were turning from left, then facing the audience looking like demented crabs with their back going back and forth, until they reached the right side. OH GOD, SPARE MY SOUL!!! I became a byuntae for two seconds and then I regained the right mind and forced myself to focus on their faces and there it was, those cute faces I just want to pinch. I don’t know about other audience but I was an emotional wreck during that number!

Stanning A- Prince in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1.... BAM! A-Prince fans, what is your fandom name?! Introduce to me your beloved A-Prince! ASDFGHJKL

B.A.P.

When they took the stage I was blown. UGH! Their dance moves are "How the F do they do that live?" A friend of mine who is a huge Baby (YES! I know your fandom name :3) told me that B.A.P. is good with live stages but I didn't expect them to be that good! I'm not a fan, I don't know them much, just bits of info's like the magnae is tall and still getting taller and that they shoot their music video in Muntinlupa, a place really near my city. They have a lot of memes/macros so I'm familiar with their faces, not with their names though.

The fan chants were loud and clear, even I who have no idea what on earth they were singing, I was chanting as well and screaming the insanity out of my body. NO! NO! NO! -- NO MERCY!!!

Another thing, ever since the start of the concert, there are this whistles I'm hearing and I thought they were from the guards directing fans or what. It made sense to me when B.A.P. came on. Is it some kind of call sign? If it is, that was hell lot creative. I have to shout SJ-M SJ-M SJ-M to call my beloved oppas and they won't hear unless hundreds of us do it at the same time. But with your whistles, OMG! Two thumbs up!! Even using it as part of the fanchant heeeyaaaaa! The only time I wasn't irritated by that sound.

SUPER JUNIOR - M

Okay, first, It's Super Junior. What adjective do you need to describe their awesomeness? Super Junior! The crowd was wild and the coliseum was covered by blue.

First, they sang Go, a song which I don't memorize the fan chant to and I was just going along with the flow but most of the times just screaming. My head hurt like hell because of all the screams I did. I can't contain how I was feeling. It is pure awesomeness, perfection, and Super Junior. ASDFGHJKL I KENNAT ENIMOR!!!

The coliseum that looked like a light festival earlier became a solid blue, it looked like an annex version of Super Shows. I got the chills! Honestly speaking, nobody can do that except my beloved husbands, Super Junior.

Then, their ments. Oh. Em. Gee. I couldn't understand what they were saying even if there was a translator because their microphone are ty but I caught a few words like "I miss you" and Donghae's "Hi princess" then there was Eunhyuk answering "Yes, honey?" UGH EUNHAE WAE DO DIZ TO DA FANDEULS?!!! EunHae also performed Oppa Oppa and because I memorize, I sang to it, no, I screamed it!

We also did our fan project for for Kyuhyun's birthday. We have this yellow banners with Happy Birthday Kyuhyun Pogi! We heard from the SJ staff after Super Show 5 Manila that Kyu asked the translation of handsome in Filipino and the translator said it's “pogi” so he jumped around their dressing room saying Kyuhyun Pogi. That's our magnae, ladies and gentleman. So it was a really cute and amazing thing to put in our banners especially when his birthday will be in just a couple of hours. We sang a birthday song for him along with the members and though Kyu wasn't feeling well, he smiled a really handsome smile. Oh, by the way, Kyuhyun is my UB so it's bit hard for me to explain my actions without losing my image of a proper lady but my ELF friend will describe it for me. A retarded kid who also has ADHD being tickled. Now good luck imagining that. Just think of it as me being a proper lady and clapping proudly for my husband, that's easier.

And Henry. HENRY! He blew a kiss twice and when Henry did that with an innocent face like he's lost, now that's just complete ride to insanity bus for me. ASDKLdjhvnldaklfjASJK I KENNAT ENIMOR T________T He said we are still the LAUdest and my heart swelled with pride!

Then there's Zhoumi. There he was, happily gliding up and wrecking my bias list in the most unbelievably gentle way! He smile and he got me! I had to literally smack my face to remind myself that Kyuhyun is my husband. I clutched on my chest and repeated to myself like a mantra "Kyuhyun, and Luhan, hang in there." The place of my UBs just got threatened and that's WTF?! I don't mean that in a bad way but in a that's-bad-but-feels-wrong-good kind of way. Kyubaby, Luludeer, sorry for that five minutes of threatening situation,

Their last song was Breakdown. Everyone was hyped up, it was the and that's it. It's done.

Done.

The concert was done like What the and I mean that in the most horrible, evil, and all the negative way.

CHEATED

Up there is the “best” part I was talking about, now let’s go why I said this concert is also the “worst.”

Did you know what? SVIP tickets cost Php 12,600. Convert that to your currency. That amount is something like REAL expensive especially for joint concerts here in our country. We're not a financially rich country, HELLO!!! We have to starve ourselves everytime there will be concerts, we have to cut our expenses, do things for our parents and friends to earn money, I even have to sell candies in school to get money, and all I was able to save is just enough for a Gen Ad ticket. We have to go measures to get a damn ticket and that’s it for Super Junior? A lot of ELF bought that SVIP ticket because they said that those ticket holders might be picked through a draw and have a fanmeet pass. PhP 12600 for a 1 is to hundreds of chance to win a pass and, All Access Productions, MBC, that’s it? That’s it for the SUPER JUNIOR-M?!! Come on! It’s Super Junior!! Not even a proper goodbye for the fans?

They didn’t give us the list of songs and we have no idea Breakdown would be the last. Please!!! We even prepared fan projects for the last song and just so you know it’s a banner with “WE’LL NEVER LEAVE.” Us ELF do feel how threatened the members feel especially now that a lot of idol groups debuting and other ELF are leaving the fandom, the best we can do to ease the SJ members worries is through these kinds of projects to assure them but what the F are you doing AAP and MBC?

A lot of the audience, especially ELF, were surprised when the sounds disappeared, the staff started packing the cameras and the lights were taken down. We chanted “SJ-M” repeatedly and “We want more!” but our pleas weren’t heard. Many ELF, including me, cried. I felt so broken.

Why am I not blaming SJ-M? As an ELF I KNOW Super Junior. Never once have they done this and I’m sure as A is the first letter in the alphabet that they will not start doing that now! Super Junior will come up on stage and do what we want them to do because they love us. We are not called the most spoiled fandom for nothing. There were ELF who personally asked the production crews to bring SJ-M back on stage for a simple closing but what did we get? Guards telling us “GO HOME! IT’S DONE!” in a VERY harsh way.

AAP, SJ-M, and staff of Araneta Coliseum, you guys are cheaters. You just ruined our first Super Junior encounter for this year. I hope you have a miserable life. You ruined the whole concert for me.

Dream KPop Fantasy Concert

First, this is not a “dream.” What happened in the concerts didn’t match the name of it. We left heart broken.

All in all, the artists in the concert are DAE to the BAK! All of them performed well and put hearts in my eyes while watching them. I enjoyed their performances so much and if it wasn’t for the production, then everything was perfect.

Will I go to the next Dream Kpop Fantasy Concert? It depends.

Yes, if one or more of these groups come: Super Junior, CN Blue, EXO, Lunafly, Infinite, Bigbang, F(X), Shinee, A-Jax, A-Prince, BtoB, and LC9.

Yes, if Pulp Live Productions be one of the producers just like the first DKFC.

Yes, but will buy the cheapest ticket if it’s produced by All Access Production.
