Like this is ridiculous guys. We aren’t prepared for snow and were misinformed by local weather stations. What started as a simple snow flurry that was predicted to only be half an inch turned into about 2-3 inches and ice.

We don’t get snow all the time, and my mother (who has lived in the north and drove in ice and snow) was telling me everything people were doing wrong and the ridiculous stuff people were doing. 

People can’t get to hospitals if they need them and emergency vehicles are getting stuck.

Children are stuck at school or on buses on the side of the road, and their parents are stuck on the side of the road cause they were trying to get to them. My sister is stuck at her university, and my parents almost got stuck trying to get to her (they were unable to get on the interstate) This is bad guys. 

The terrain is very hilly and many accidents have occurred because of ice.

For anyone else in Alabama, stay indoors and stay safe.
