Holy crap! Today was so crazy that I don’t even know where to begin!!! It was a long day but of course the highlight of the evening was attending the Big Bang Concert! They wrapped up their Dome Tour in Japan and happily graced us with the come back concert in Seoul. They had a concert last night, however, I attended the one tonight. I well get into more detail later, but I tell you… holy cow so much fun! So you ready for this fulfilled day? LEGO!

Since I live in Korea, and the New Year is coming up, my academy decided to make up the New Year classes today. I mean come on working on a Saturday? Um no!!! I object… but that doesn’t work here, so unfortunately, I had to work today.Even if it was for three hours, it was the longest three hours but it wasn’t too bad. My students knew that I was going to the Big Bang concert so they felt sorry that I had to stay in teach them… but I said it was okay that it wasn’t so big of a deal. But once 1 o’clock hit, I was out the door. 

After a quick lunch, my coworkers and I set for the venue. We arrived at Olympic Park at around 3:30ish and we already saw the crowd of fans at the venue.

I was contemplating on whether or not I should wear my Stitch onesie, and I gathered JUST enough confidence to do, until I saw other fans doing it… so I was like nahhhhh forget it.

We took a bunch of photos together and of each other and just killed time before we went in. YG Staff even got to take a photo of us as well! International fans unite!! Our coworker Emily didn’t have a Big Bang light stick, so we went to a stand and got her one and she was able to get the new version light stick!

Waiting on line wasn’t that long, until we got our bags checked. The Staff saw Emily’s camera and told her that she can’t use her camera. I told the staff that we know and that we won’t use it. The staff member said that we had to get out of the line and give the camera at check in and come back. Mind you, check in was on the OTHER side of the venue. I was getting a little irritated so Georgina and I pretty much said that we promise we won’t use the cameras, we know the rules, let us in. She took our word, we gave them our promises and we were able to keep our cameras and go inside. 

Since we weren’t allowed to use our cameras, I’ll let you know that our seats were on the third floor but we got the first three seats so we had a good view of the stage. There was no barricade in front of use, so if we made wrong step, we could be eating floor…. and maybe bleeding from the mouth… 

But our spot was CELEB SPOTTING VILLE~ We managed to see Hwangssabu, who is YG Entertainment’s personal trainer, Epik High’s Tablo and his daughter Haru, Lee Hayi, and 2NE1’s Dara at the concert… they were legit just walking like normal and I was like… why do they look familiar and I’m like oh smap… that’s so and so! There were also a lot of good looking guys so I was pretty happy.

Okay juicy part… THE CONCERT! I cannot even begin to express how good it was to see those five men on stage for the first time. Watching them on YouTube does not compare to seeing them live. Sure I have seen GD in concert a couple of times and yes I have seen Big Bang appear in his concert but now… this was a whole other level.

For me, their theme was THROW BACK… because they brought back a lot of their old stuff. Haru Haru, Gara Gara Go, A Fool’s Only Tears, La La La, BIGBANG, just to name a few… I was like to myself… damn I have been a fan for that long? Cuz I knew all of them!!! 

The solo stages were amazing! Seungri… racy…. Daesung… cute and quirky…. Taeyang…. OMG UMF…. GD… stop being cute…. TOP…. I wanna marry your voice… 

I know I’m skipping right now but I don’t wanna make it too long and there was just so much to remember… 

ONE THING DID HAPPEN THOUGH…

Seungri got two girls to fight!!! Like a legit CAT FIGHT!! OMG!!! There was a part where the boys were on moving stages and Daesung and Seungri came to our section… they started walking up the aisle and you know how fans are, they ran to get a little touch of them. Well Ri, thought it would be a GREAT idea to throw his jacket to the audience and once one caught it… another fan fought for it… and it turned ugly… Georgina saw it and I looked at her direction and it really looked like they were clawing each other… security got involved and one of the fans’ guys started mouthing off to security…guys… it’s just a jacket… yall cray… and guess what… no one got the jacket in the end… Good job Ri…

We were able to use our cameras at one point… well camera phones… Seungri said we can use our cameras to record Bad Boy and yeah done did… I took a video and pics… maybe I will post the video later but here are some pics (forgive the blurriness)

Then they introduced the band and dancers and then the guys said “Soonho” and I was like… wait a second I know that guy… I knew him from the states when I used to work as a reporter… turns out he works with Big Bang now… I messaged him after the show saying “hey i saw you on stage” and he was like “haha thanks” SMALL WORLD!

Overall… great show! and I’m still thinking about it till now… when I left the venue we ended up looking at Big Bang merchandise and I legit bought two cushions:

I’m really happy that that I got a chance to be a part of this experience. As a proud VIP, if I were able to do it again… I’d gladly take it! However right now it is 3:23 AM and I know I forgot a lot of stuff… but if I remember I will be more than happy to tell you guys… Time to sleep… NIGHT!!

BUT WAIT.... THERE'S MORE!!!

I forgot a few things to add about the BIG BANG Concert last night!

I have a few things to add…

So the first thing… Korean fan girls… my personal opinion… they don’t know how to have fun at concerts. During the whole show, they were either sitting down or moving their light sticks back and forth. If the guys, told them to jump, they jumped. If the guys, told them to clap, they clapped. 

My friends and I were like “EFF THAT”! We started grooving to all of their songs. We even did their choreography (I was killing that “Ringa Linga” chorus part) and even made up some of our own choreography. It was was like we were having our own Big Bang Party, it was a blast and now my body is paying for it… OUCH!

During Bae’s solo stage, we all know he is known for being the stripper of the group so we were all expecting him to take his shirt off or something so my friends and I started legit shouting… TAKE IT OFF TAKE IT OFF and the one in million chances he heard that… he did take something off… his jacket -.-; Well it was better than nothing… that was funny.

Another thing… we felt that the guys were talking TOO much in between songs. I understand that they needed fillers for changing time. I also have to admit that they are certainly funny in imitating each other. But the talking was too much. Maybe if we understood what they were saying, it would have been a little bit better… but I had no clue as to what they were talking about … But it was a good time to sit down and rest my feet from dancing. 

During the Friday show, the crowd sang Sunset Glow while the boys were getting dressed for their next set. For our show last night, we sang Heaven… Really we had to choose a hard song?? It was a good song but what made it hard was that when the last part of the chorus ended, the first part of the chorus had to overlap and start again and we didn’t know how to do that. But we ended up pulling through and doing a good job at the end :)

There were some WTF moments during the concert. I saw a lot of couplage between Seungri and GD… and TOP and Daesung… Bae was just paired up with everybody… it was cute and I love OTPs but sometimes I cringe to watch sometimes. And speaking of Bae I cannot express how many times I asked Georgina “WTF is he wearing on his head” He had on Minnie Mouse Ears and I believe a Toy Story Alien hat at one point. It was cute but first impression was WTF lol I am seriously out to burn that Ringa Linga braid hat he loves… It doesn’t look cute…my personal opinion… I prefer him with the hair up side swooped. Even GD had the big furry black hat that he loves so much. Oh well to each their own right? HAHA

Last thing was when I bought those amazing cushions! So I pulled my ultimate aegyo for that… and I don’t purposely do aegyo. So the guys was selling these Big Bang cushions individually for 15,000 won but if I bought two members it would be 13,000 won. I was this close to buying it but the two girls in front of me said that the stand on the other side was selling the same cushions for 12,000. So of course I had to go for the better deal and at this point I was super energetic I ended up saying “Excuse me sir but that stand over there is selling the exact same thing for 12,000 won!” So he just smiled and laughed nervously and low and behold I got the deal! Two cushions for 24,000 won HAHAHA! Yes Girls… in Korea… if you really want it… break out that aegyo…

I’m really happy that that I got a chance to be a part of this experience. As a proud VIP, if I were able to do it again… I’d gladly take it!
