If you are a YB stan, you probably are aware that he just finished his CKone fan signing event in Seoul. I was really lucky to be notified of this event before hand and was able to go! I am so happy right now that words cannot even describe it. Here is my account.

I was told of the event on Sunday, the 19th, a week before the actual event. What you had to do was go to the Olive Young in Hongdae and buy a 200ml bottle of CK One and once you go to the register to pay, you had to mention that you want to attend the fan signing. The fan signing wasn’t announced publicly, but there were a couple of fliers stating about it and if you didn’t know Korean, you were sure to miss it.

Luckily I was able to get my ticket with the limited Korean I know and I was set for the event today!

Considering that it was definite that I was going to meet him again, I wanted to make another cross stitch for him, like I did for the hug event, and give it to him personally. Unfortunately after slaving over the project until the Sunday before the event, I came to the realization that I wasn’t going to be able to finish the project. So before I started to cry of how much of a failure I was, my two friends who are also fans of YB told me to give him something else, a backup gift. I was stressed out enough as it was so I didn’t know what else to get him at the last minute… until one of them said to give him Doritos (As you know he was in Tablo’s IG dancing and singing to “Rich” with bags of Doritos in his hands) So…

That happened… and!

I didn’t forget about his friends. I wrote in Korean “Youngbae-ah… Don’t be greedy and eat that alone, share with your friends! haha” I also wrote him a little note about how proud I was of him and to continue working hard but to take care of himself as well.

Then came today, the day of the actual fan signing. I was cold and I didn’t know what to think. After giving the guy my number and registering I waited on line. I was given a post it to write my name so when YB signs, he will know who it is to. YB didnt even show up yet. There were a lot of girls there and yeah it turned out be a good turnout. The girls werent loud and obnoxious but you can tell the admiration and positive vibe were brought out. When YB came out, I didn’t pay mind since I was too busy texting my friends on my phone how nervous I was. So when YB was going inside, I looked up and he saw me and smiled and I smiled back and the freaking press caught it!

We all go inside a few at a time and I knew right there and then it was really happening.

I was going to meet YB again and I had to figure out what to talk to him about. I had everything practiced….Korean… English… what to say… what to talk about….. NOPE that all flew out the window.

When I went up to him and the guard gave him my post it, the first thing he said in his cute silly yet y voice was “Hi Christina!” and here I am trying to maintain sane greeted him back and he said “Happy Birthday!” I was so happy that he greeted me and I told him that it’s next week but thank you so so much. As he continued signing, I asked him if he remembered me and I mentioned that time I met him at YG where I gave him a letter and ran away. He didn’t seem to remember but he got a laugh out of it. I ended up giving my letter to him and he accepted it with a smile. I also told him that I got him a gift and he was like “You did?! What is it?” I said it was Doritos and he got all excited saying “Do.ri.tos!” and I added from America! And he laughed again. 

It got quiet for a good second since he was concentrating on making his signature perfect so I said one more thing and that was that he did a really good job at the concert. He smiled and asked me “Did you go?” and I said yes and I had a really good time. By this time he was done with the signature so he handed it to me and was like “Here you go. Good to see you. See you Latah!” 

I smiled back and said bye, gave the security my present and left. This was what I got:

This was honestly the best birthday present I have ever gotten! 

And when all this was happening, someone managed to take a picture of what was going on!

I’m still on cloud nine right now and all I have to say is Thank you Youngbae for being who you are! You are truly a great person and an amazing artist! Thank you for making this nuna a happy one for her birthday!
