When Christmas is not sweet ...

Hello everyone, I want to share something that you will hopefully read. You see, Christmas is not always nice and sweet for everyone. I'm so sad and sorry to hear that a good friend of mine had to spend her Christmas like this.

When I thought that for me Christmas (except for December 24) as every year because of all the work on December 25 and 26, resulting in usual fights with my dad due to work (and unfair treatment and scoldings and stress, yada yada), I had to realise that there are people who had their Christmas completely ruined.

I don't understand it. In this century, in THIS decade, our world should be free from racist behaviour like this. I think the world is said to have become open-minded, free from judgemend and prejudices, so why make a family do through something like this during Christmas. I still don't get just HOW something like this could happen. Not in a country of which I thought it was multicultural and open-minded. Honestly, I can't find the words.

Wow, why would they be taken to jail for looking suspicious? That's stupid. I can't believe people these days.

This is just a low, I seriously cannot believe that they were taken to jail for looking "suspicious". If shopping for a long time is considered suspicious behavior then I should be in jail then. This makes me so disappointed that there are still people like this that discriminate against others because of appearance. What angers me is that the "police", who are supposed to protect the citizens and not take innocent people in jail for shopping, didn't even call the family to tell them the mother was let out. Seriously, the family went to check the whereabouts of the mother multiple times, and yet the police have the nerve to not alert the worried family that the mother was let out. I honestly hope that the family will have a much better Christmas next year.

This just breaks my heart. :/
People are just so FRUSTRATING. Like, handcuffed for looking suspicious? Because they're shopping? Ugh. I just don't understand people sometimes. If they looked suspicious, wouldn't the store people be keeping an eye on them? Instead of just being completely rude and getting them sent to be interviewed and kept in jail and all of this stuff right when they came up to pay?
I just cannot... UGH.

That completely shows us that even after 20 years of creating the greatest inventions, people are still shallow enough to still care about someone's looks or clothes or etc. How horrid and childish.
