I Cry

So, as you all may know, INFINITE is currently having their first world tour. And since I am Sungjong biased (but I managed to fall in love with all of them) I search for fancams that focus on him. And I just wanted to rant on how scarce they are compared to the others. I can also say the same to Sungyeol. So I know INFINITE was originally a 5-membered group and they added Sungjong and Sungyeol at the last minute, but I just cry at how they lack so much lines in their songs and their lack of appearances on variety shows. So you all might say that it's their own fault since they don't show their talents enough, but really, how can you even show them when you're not given a chance?

As you may all notice, Sungjong and Sungyeol's lines always have the same tune and it is usually one or three lines tops. Either that or they sing the second voices. Now that covering girl group dancing on variety shows is not that "popular" anymore, Sungjong has a harder time showing his talents on shows. I mean, Sunggyu and Woohyun are the main vocals and he can't really dance "manly" songs when Hoya and Dongwoo are just awesome. And let's face it, people usually notice the visual first in the group, which in this case is Myungsoo. I just feel really sorry for Sungyeol and Sungjong. (Although you may notice my rant leans on Sungjong more since, well, he is my bias)

Sometimes, I just want to slap Woolim or SM, since it has been confirmed after the tour they will be under SM, and shake them and force them to look at the talent Sungjong and Sungyeol has. My friend actually told me most of my biases are those in the group who are swaying in the background. She also said most of my girl biases have short hair (e.g Sunny, Min, Minzy, Soyu, and I'm gonna add Hayi cuz I love her even though she has long hair :3) and that most of my guys biases are the divas in the group or the feminine ones (e.g Key, Ryeowook and Sungjong.) You may say that not all of my biases are underrated, but you have to agree with me when I say it is easy to overlook them in a group due to one member or another.

And when I get hyped up for one of their new songs, I sometimes get really disappointed when I listen to it (since I can easily distinguish Sungjong's voice from the others) and realize, "He only has one line?" or "Was he just the second voice?" And I don't think you can say that Sungjong and Sungyeol are more active on variety shows compared to others since they may guest in shows, but they don't really get much air time, which I know you can't blame it on the management, but still (lol, sorry if that doesn't make sense.)

So yeah, I think I said all of my thoughts in this post. Tell me what you think 'kay?

Agreed! I miss the days when Sungyeol would be the choding and Sungjong would be the one who was sassier than most girls. I don't even see that in them no more, I guess in a way they matured. But it just doesn't seem like them at all. I still love them a lot though (because Sungyeol is my first bias and Sungjong runs second). It'd be nice to see them have more lines in their next album :)

But seeing that they're going under SM.. idek. I mean, look at Sehun and Xiumin. They're both amazing and yet I rarely hear them singing lines.

i do agree with you.but i think if we always support him.he will be fine..i think sungjong has a really unique voice.you can't find someone like him.sungjong is awesome.everytime i hear infinite song,the first voice that i notice is sungjong.i really love sungjong voice.he has feminine and manly voice.i freaking love him..if i'm not wrong,went infinite in variety show,the producer of the show really love him including the host.one of the producer wish him besday in twitter.no one can hate him.he is a ball of sunshine.

I cant agree more since i like sungyeol... but i cant say he is my bias since i also like woohyun but what you said is exactly right. I was so happy when infinite make their comeback with man in love cause sungyeol have a lot line in that song compared to other song..

But i exactly know how you felt... its so lucky that min still had a lot line eventhought when come to appearance she and jia is the least..hahaha..sorry,im talking about miss a in your infinite's article.

I agree, they should pay more attention to Sungjong and Sungyeol. Even though my bias is Sunggyu (through variety shows), I think they have really, really good voices. It isn't fair at all that they have close to no lines at all because they have awesome voices. Like Sungjong has a very pretty voice, and his vocals were the first one that I noticed (the first song I listened of Infinite's didn't really have any Sungyeol time, you see).
And it's not really true that they have the most air time because the members people usually take notice of first are Sunggyu and Hoya (my opinion).
I don't usually agree to statements that say "xxx is underrated" but this is so true.

it's not that they don't many have lines. maybe they are responsible for the second voice. it is a really important role into making a great music. :)
