Personality: Chi is a very outgoing girl. She's quick witted and very clever, she knows what to say and when to say it. This can come off as playful and cocky at times and Chi often plays that to her advantage. Chi is also very fun-loving and social, although she doesn't have that many friends, she knows many people and is very friendly, meaning, she has many acquaintances.
At times, Chi is seen to be y, from the way she lets her face sit to the way she can dance and they way she moves her body. She doesn't try too hard to be seen as y, but she can do it at will.
Background: Chi was born in Wonju, South Korea to a mother and father. At that time, her parents had been married for over three years and had been trying for a child since first being married. Although it took so long, her mother only got pregnant after her parents stopped trying. She was known as the miracle child, or Gijeong.
From the time she was an infant to the time she was five, she lived in Wonju with both parents. Soon after turning six, her parents decided to move closer to Seoul - they chose to move to Gangdong-gu, a province in South Korea. As it was closer to Seoul, her father transfered to work there. Chi's mother was a kindergarten teacher, and would often go to school with her daughter.
During Chi's early childhood, she lived with both parents, but at the age of ten, her father passed away after getting sick. As Chi was young at the time, she didn't understand as to what happened, and that he died of cancer at a very young age.
To avoid questions and sadness, Chi's mother put her into a performing art's academy. Chi enjoyed her time there, she learnt how to do simple ballet and took up doing dance in many mediums. She also enjoyed singing and joined the choir there, where she got a few solo parts.
As part of her time there, Chi performed on stage multiple times and was scouted by a talent agent from S.M Entertainment. Chi joined S.M when she was 11 years old. She trained them for two years, and decided to leave when she was 13. She left because she wanted to do different things and didn't want to live in a strict life as a trainee would. At this time, her mother had remarried after dating a man for the two years. From this, Chi had two step-siblings. Chi told her mother that she would like to keep her father's last name, and she complied.
Although Chi left S.M, she went to perform in other places and met many other people that soon become trainees in different companies. Chi enjoyed performing a lot and decided to audition for a company, but this time she went for Pledis. She joined Pledis at the age of 15 and had been a trainee there for five years.
Style: Chi likes to mix her fashion up a bit with pastel and bright colours, along with neutral as well. She likes to add cute things to her look, and heels. She likes shoes, and often wears whatever she can find. Chi likes to mix blocks of colour with patterns, usually floral.
