Style: Li wears anything. she usually just pulls on whatever is nearby and sometimes ends up looking a bit stupid in what she wears. If she's going to be practicing, she usually just wears sweats and sneakers. Her casual style is that of a newly-blind person, she mix-matches a lot. At times she dresses nicely, but it's usually with the help of her members and coordi friends. She's terrible at doing makeup and only does very simple looks. if her hair is done up, someone else did it.

Personality: 

anli was taught by her aunt, who is the mother figure in her life, to always take care and to make sure she didn't hurt people's feelings. she's very supportive of people, but she's also upright with her feelings and how she's doing as she's very honest and doesn't think faking happiness will make things better. anli always tries to tell the truth, but in the kindest way possible. if she hurts someone's feelings she'll always apologize and ask for forgiveness even if it's not really needed.

 

anli can become very talkative, especially when she's nervous or feeling shy. she can sometimes say things that she doesn't want to, or how she feels around that person. she can also be quite anxious, this can cause unwanted tension between people and she usually has to calm herself inside of her mind to remind her that they're people too, and they have feelings. anli is very determined, she works hard to achieve her dream and won't back down from it. even if she's feeling anxious, she wants to work her hardest to become the best at what she does. her dream of being an idol is one example where she didn't give up, nine hard years and she was still determined to get on that stage.

MY STORY

 

 

background:

Anli was born and raised in Los angeles, california, usa. anli was their third child and only daughter, the couple had always wanted a daughter and when they got her, they were overjoyed. although their parents loved anli, they focused on their sons much more, making anli feel neglected.

 

growing up, anli made a great connection with her young aunt (father's side), who took anli under her wing as her parents were too focused on her brothers. Anli and her aunt got along wonderfully, and her parents decided that although they thought they wanted a daughter they felt they couldn't take care of her. They let anli move in with her aunt and continue to go to school.

 

anli was placed into modelling classes and enjoyed taking them with other girls her age. a group of three, including anli, created a mini singing group and anli sang and rapped a few lines, the girls practiced songs in korean, and kpop songs. the group performed at a fesitival, where anli was scouted out and told about an audition at jyp entertainment. anli talked to her parents about it and they told her she could go, her aunt also agreed, and said she'd go with her.

 

that same year, anli and her aunt moved to south korea, they moved into a small apartment. anli started school at an international school, and while she was there, she started to learn korean so she could speak to more people. anli auditioned at jyp and became a trainee after a few trials. anli was the youngest girl in the trainees that year. and even though she was the youngest, she worked as hard as she could. (13) around this time, anli's oldest brother, mike, got in touch with her.

 

fast forward four years (17) and anli has seen a few groups from jyp debut, wonder girls, 2am and 2pm. she was never told she wasn't good enough, but that she wasn't ready yet, her prime was yet to be met. although anli was getting tired of still being a trainee, after four years of training, she continued on. she wanted this, and she told herself many times this was a good thing. patience was a skill. her aunt helped her, telling her that if she truly wanted this, then she would stay at it, and she did.

 

anli was known as olli, ol from old, and li from her name. she was called this because she was an old trainee. other trainees from the year she entered the company had left, gone to different places or just gave up. but anli never did. she remained under jyp and worked hard.

 

in 2010, and another year rolling past, another group debuted. this time it was miss a. anli had the chance to debut within them, but decided against it. she said that miss a wasn't for her, something else would be better. jyp agreed, but still urged anli to keep her strength high.

 

it wasn't until late 2013, three long, tiring years later that anli was told she was going to be debuting inside of a new girl group, although it wasn't going to be that year, it would be the next. anli was excited and met the girls the same day. they got along and started to practice then. they were told that the amount of girls in the room (10) wouldn't be in the group. they didn't know how many girls would be dropped, but anli prayed she'd be in the group, she worked for this. she had been in the company for so many years, she wasn't going to give up yet.

 

anli was glad that this process was in private and not public. the ten girls practiced and trained together for six months, one by one a girl was dropped off and when it got down to six girls, they were told congratulations, in the practice room. at first they were confused, until their manager, or soon to be manager, told them they were dream melody. anli was the first girl to break down, and cry happily. they girls crowded around her and they hugged. it had been a long time, and anli was finally debuting, she was ready.

 

Family:

Min is anli's mother figure, even though there's only a 14 year difference. Because they live/d together, they spent a lot of time with each other. ((a little background;) Min has a daughter who is 13, min got married a few years after being in korea with Anli, she was already dating a man who was from korea, their relationship was long distance. min's daughter's name is jung yi-soo. min's maiden name is zhang - her husband is jung seokgi, he is 41 and is a banker)

Personality: joonmyun is very caring and kind man, he works hard to make sure people around him are comfortable. he can come off as a bit emotionless on stage to show that he's strong but backstage he can break down easily and will cry. even through this he's still a very charming man.

First meeting: anli was contacted to do we got married, as she had wanted to join the show and didn't mind who it was with. Anli and Joonmyun were paired together because joonmyun also didn't mind who he was put with. They met through the show.

Interactions: Even though they met without any feelings, anli devolped feelings for joonmyun shortly after getting to know him. she didn't know about his feelings towards her until she confessed and he accepted. because of the show they're very friendly, but also because they share the same hardships of training for many years.
