PLOTLINE The Chinese Puppet BACKGROUND Born as the oldest daughter in one of the influential and wealthy family (her father is the minister of education) in Beijing played a major part on how she was now. Her more traditional grandmother had her life planned out the day she was borned; she would be given the education that was a must to be a high sought wife and she had already started at the age of four. But after seeing her brother studying, she had her own desire on learning, something that was seen rather wasteful for a women who would just end up in her husband's house, serving the husband. While her grandmother clucked her tongue everytime she bothered her brother, her father saw potential so there was a fight whenever she wanted to study and that's when she made an agreement with both her grandmother and father. She would be learning sewing, etiquette and cooking while also joining her brother's classes. Juggling very two different subject was a piece of cake for her. But still, her knowledge in political things top her house chores thingy knowledge. By the age of fourteen she had already received some offer for her hand in marriage which she had declined it all. She grow to be an elegant women instantly catching the eye of the young prince. They became playmate and studymate and somehow love bloomed between them. When the king of China saw this, his majesty proposed her on behalf of his son and she accepted.
Yu Jingheng — grandmother — alive — traditional, strict and resolute — Shuien loved her grandmother dearly although sometimes she can be quite naggy to her. You can say that they pretty much clicked. Yu Jianheng — father — alive — open-minded, wise and intelligent — Seeing that her father was the one that made she can study, she's very close with him, they would always talk to each other about all things and their own opinion. Yu Qiuning — mother — alive — Lovely, understanding and patient — Although Shuien is more to a daddy's girl, her relationship with her mother was not awkward at all. While her father tell her more in current issues and political things, her mother talks about feelings and hoe to deal with it. Yu Xiangkun — older brother — alive — protective, intelligent and strong — As their was only a year apart, they were really close. They had no problem in helping each other on hiding secrets from their parents. Yu Chunli — younger sister — alive — shy, innocent and graceful — While Shuien is more on political things, Chunli is definitely a true chinese women with her reserved action and soft words but it made no scratch on their relationship as Chunli looked up to Shuien.

KEY WORDS Eloquent , Elegant , Brilliant , Opinionated , Irascible Shuien was always a sparkling gem. Since she was younger, she had shown many potential on being a successful scholar. Shuien way on understanding was to observe. She picked things up rather quickly and knew how was everything going. Naturally a sweet talker and raised to believe and stand for her own opinion; she would always be the centre of attention during ocassion for her subjective point and the way she gracefully convey it. How she would sugarcoated a rather mean words into something that would be less painful yet made an impact. She was not scared that her words can made someone kept a revenge on her. Although she did received some warning from her father to watch it when it came to sensitive matters. Sure Shuien was widely known for her brilliance, but what made it more impactful was that it came from a gorgeous girl. One usually expect that girls like her would know nothing about newest issues but boy was they wrong. With her silky hair flowing flawlessly, pure white skin, her big sparkling eyes complimented with long eyelashes; she's one that made jaw drops. How she walk with such poise and confidence, since she knew all eyes were looking. It was all exterior though, since she was not that graceful when it come to girly things. She can do it good but not excels it like her younger sister. She did not care though, she was more to the brain. Someone once said 'A beautiful girl usually had a temper'. Shuien was no exception. Sure she would be all smiley and kind on the first place but when there's so many things that irked her, she losed it and when she's already lose her temper infront of someone, she would not hold her back on hiding her temper infront of them any other time. Her way of scolding would be the classic one; yell and grab her enemy's hair. Most of her fights was due to the subject of how her parents did a poor job by letting her study since she was not as graceful as her fifteen years old sister. TRIVIA • To control her temper, she would massage her neck • She had photographic memory hence how she quickly picked things up • She likes playing dizi when she was bored • Her least favourite colour was pink • She loves travelling. She would go to hills and forests with her brother covering for her. • She abhors frogs.

drink with me BEST FRIENDS Tang Taizong— Royalty, Crown Prince of China — Responsible, wise and caring — Only older by a year but he still took care of Shuien like a brother would. They spent most of their time together to study. But as they grew older, he realised how beautiful Shuien is, and love blossomed. Not wanting to let her go to any other man, he proposed her and she accepted. Xi Yuqi— Knights, Daughter of Minister of War — Outgoing, kind and supportive. — Being the same age, and how their fathers were friends the were raised together. They would always supported each others back. FRIENDS Li Zhen — Pauper, daughter of their maid — timid and hardworking — As Shuien personal maid, they got along pretty well since Shuien was not a bratty kid.

RIVALS Ahn Sooa — Knights, daughter of a minister in Korea that Shuien did not care — Here, in the castle of Korea. One of the Korean scholars. Currently, Sooa set her eyes on Baekhyun. — Intelligent, decisive and selfish —It was not pretty. Sooa saw Shuien as an enemy the moment she stepped her foot into the castle as Shuien had gathered all attention that was supposed to be hers. |

LOVE INTEREST Byun Baekhyun Born as the oldest son of the current courtier, he was trained to continue the legacy as the king was so fond of his father, it was his majesty token of gratitude to let his family stay in court. If you ever mention his name in the castle, all the ladies of the castle would faint from just the thought of him. Well known for his ability to capture hearts in just matter of seconds. The ability was contributed by his charming smiles, suaveness and charisma. To top it all, he was not just a beauty with no brain, Baekhyun was the top of his class during court examination. What's not to die for. He was kinda the male version of Shuien. HOW YOU MET It was nothing special actually. Baekhyun and Sooa was flirting when Shuien came to Sooa as they had to do a work together. Thus they introduced themselves. They were supposed to know each other earlier but Baekhyun was not present during the introduction to the ministers and the king, he was busy flirting. RELATIONSHIP
Seeing that Baekhyun was one of the famous courtier and Shuien came to Korea to learn about Korea, she was given a lot of private time with him. Baekhyun flirted with her at first where Shuien rejected by saying she already had a fiancee. Not believing her, Baekhyun continue to pursue her and kept on volunteering for duties that involved Shuien. It irked Shuien at first but day by day she got use to it and became restless if it was not Baekhyun who helped her.
SECONDARY LOVE INTEREST Kim Jongin This was one strong soldier you got here. Being the son of the previous Minister of War before his father was caught on being a victim of a fraud, he was trained since young on how to be a perfect soldier. Really observant, and can hear footsteps clearly although others did not hear a thing. He was not one to fool with as he can see between lie and truth and since most of people lie, he usually lay low and secluded himself from the crowd while the crowd also stay away from him due to his sharp tongue. But under all the tough exterior he shown, there was a boy who cried every night, remembering how his innocent father was killed by his so-called-friend. HOW YOU MET It was the day where the scholar from China would visit the soldier's place. Seeing it as a nuisance (and how words of Shuien's beauty did not reach there) the other soldiers quickly gave their own excuses leaving Jongin with the job. That's how they both met, from one of the scheduled event.
Shuien was attacked once, during her visit to town. Seeing it as a danger threat, the king instructed a soldier to be her bodyguard. Many were volunteering for it but Shuien choose Jongin since they were somehow acquaintance. Jongin who saw it as oppurtunity to be more involved in the castle accepted it. Since then most of their day comprised with each other.

closing the history book REQUESTS & SUGGESTIONS Just one suggestion, Can you made the prince of China, Shuien's fiancee to come to Korea to visit her and Shuien was troubled with her newfound feelings toward Baekhyun.
