Actually, I was wanting to cover this topic, I just haven't had the time to cover it yet, because of all the other topis that were pending. But since it's here. LET'S GET IT STARTED!

Graphic reviews, from the point of the reviewer herself, and the requestor. I have been in both positions, so this is actually coming from personal experience. 

POV of being the reviewer: I think that, honestly, dead honestly, reviews are fun until you get a REALLY REALLY bad poster that a rookie has just made. And then when you get that poster, you don't want to be mean, so you're nicer towards them then you would be towards someone who's had more experience. But you know, it's also understandable because the rookie, is ... a rookies, and you have NO IDEA how the rookie is going to react to the critism from other designers vs. a designer who's most likely already had experience with critism from other designers/friends. But in general, from the POV of a reviewer it is REALLY fun.

POV of being a requestor: it is intimidating. It's kinda scary when you come upon a graphic review shop and you're like "oh-my-gosh, are they ganna laugh at my poster? Are they going to shoot me down?" It's also a pain in the to read their rules, ugh, that's why I like to keep my rules short, simple and to the main point. But being a requestor you do get used to it, and the critism does help. I am however, not a fan of the points, that makes me sad when I see that I only got a 80/100, you know. Like, damn, I ... kinda worked really hard on that poster, and you basically said "meh." to me. THANKS! OTL, but seriously, I'm not a fan of that, otherwise from the POV of a requestor in the end, it is fun.

As you guys may have know, or heard, or not .... I am planning to launch/open a graphic review shop/thread. And as you just read, I am not a fan of the points system, so I am going to try a different way that I hope has not been seen on AFF before, or if it has, then ... I guess I'm following onto that trend. But please be on the look out for it, I'm hoping to get it launching soon! So leave a comment below on thoughts/comments.
