I sometimes go around looking at the different stroies authors make and this is what I feel. I feel like a Majority of authors on here basically only write about their favorite groups or most favorite groups in kpop; the ones they're basically in a fandom of.

Like I'll go to one persons profile and check out what type of stories they have to see that they all basically include shinee in them. I've seen it occur like this about a good amount of times that when I see one story by one person and see the characters and tags a person uses for that one story, I can kinda predict what the rest of their stories will be like.

And when I see that someone has done that I sometimes will think this:

"Why not try and write aout something else"

Now, I am guilty as charged as well in this situation. As you may or may not know in the past year everytime I make a story they've all pretty much been about Exo. Well that's because Exo basically ruined my life when I found out about them. But now it's going to be different (or I'll at least try to be more different) for I have seen a new life...and that is BTOB!

Lol, you probably think I'm just gonna write about them now but I am not. Thanks to BTOB I have realized, it's not all about Exo, and there are many other groups/artist out their for me to write potentially good stories about; others like 4Mintue, Vixx, or even AOA. And speaking of other groups to write about, again BTOB, I feel like they don't have that much love on here and not many stories written about them so I'm gonna change that!

So maybe you out there should try writing something new then you usually do. And that doesn't just apply to the characters and groups but also genres as well. Maybe you've always written about romance and drama, maybe try wrting an action/adventure fantasy for a change. Never know, maybe you'll like it.

Now moving onto something else that people write about, and that is cliche stories/topics. Now, I have nothing wrong with reading or writing cliche type of stories but do people always have to write about them. You read so many that they become predictable though somehow are still good, not saying they're not. For example:

Boy & Girl are in an arrainged marriage, they hate each other usually because Boy is a jerk, slowly they fall in love through their marriage, and boom the end!

Why not try writing something different like say...not making them hate each other in the beginning or something...it's not that hard and it doesn't hurt anything.

Did I ever tell you that's one of the main reasons I've made fanfiction accounts. Of course I love reading them but soon I began to grow tired of sometimes reading the same thing or reading something the way I wouldn't have put it or don't like it.

Now have you ever heard someone tell someonw "Do it this way!" and someone else comes defending that person by saying "If you don't like it go do it your own way" well that's exactly what I'm going with writing fanfiction!

In writing fanfiction I wanted to be different from everyone and writing story ideas I found cool and came up with on my own, which is what I'm doing. And I'm having fun sharing my different ideas with others, it's cool. I get to use my own characters and make the story go how I want it. If I want a sword fish fight then I'll write about one.

Don't just write the same thing you always do or what everyone else does, be different, follow your own path. But if your own path is being the same then that's fine too.
