Appearance + Style: Choi Hae Rin is a girl with a pair of shining eyes, a sweet smile and carries a warm and easy-to-approach vibe. She used to smile all the time and is always cheerful to the people around her, but after her friendship betrayal, she only smiles to strangers and becomes extremely cold to those who try to get closer to her/ those who wants to become her 'friend'. She used to have short hair and always tied it up in order to keep her hair away from her face, but after the incident she started growing her hair out (which she felt comfortable to hide behind); she also dyed it dark brown making herself feel that she has turned into a brand new person after the friendship fall. When she's at school, she wears her uniform with much slack, not caring if there's creases in her skirt or her jumper's tag is out at the back, she stopped caring about how she looked at school after her friendship incident. Outside of school she likes to wear work style clothes and denim, mostly black jeans and a white shirt with a khaki or black cardigan/jacket. She loves wearing heeled boots no matter what the weather's like. She also loves jumpers in winter mostly red or gray or khaki. She developed her love for red jackets/jumpers as her previous friends hated red and because it was the colour of her jumper that was knitted by her grandma (whos she dearly loves). On stage, she loves denim and black along with chains with her jeans and of course again, boots, studded boots is one of her favourite onstage footwear. She also loves wearing short-long studded dresses on stage along with a denim jacket.

Personality: Hae Rin is a cheerful girl who always carries a small shy smile that warms up people's hearts (which makes others want to befriend her). However she only smiles at strangers, those who are at a distance away from her, when people actually try to approach her, she gives them an ice cold glare that would send them all the way to Antarctica (okay being sarcastic here xP). She used to be the one that everyone loved, the one that listened to all the people who needed someone to talk to, she'd give helpful advice and looked at everything in a bright light, she was seen as the top student and the role model of many of her classmates, she USED to be the one everyone loved until she had her friendship fall. Everyone in the school knew about what happened between her and her friends, and she turned cold whenever someone approached her. She still studied as hard as she could and kept her music dream but she did not communicate with others anymore, only a small timid and mysterious smile.

She's a determined and competitive girl, seen through her academic and music results, she'd spend hours at home studying and hours on practicing to sing. Pulling all nighters to study and sing is nothing for her. Hae Rin used to be a gullible person who trusted easily too, but after her friends betrayed her, she became the opposite, she still tried to look everything in a bright light but she became anti-social, did not believe in things until she's seen them and to gain her trust? That would be the hardest thing in the world for a person to do after she had the friendship betrayal incident. She's a careful thinker, and takes in others' advice really easily which makes her a really hesitant person. But after she makes a decision, it's really hard to make her change it again. Weirdly she's both hesitant and stubborn at the same time.

She's an organised girl who loves music and law, she's a kind and caring person who really cares for the society and environment. She used to care about all the people beside her, but after knowing how people can betray her and be so mean and ruthless, she gave up on people around her and started to spend her time in helping the animals in her city and the poor in the country that she cannot see. She even started a part time job to sponsor a kid all the way in Africa.

It takes time for her to get close to people after her friendship incident, a long time. The first sign that she is starting to open herself up is texting with the other person, she'd might start smiling at you too when you talk to her and give a nod once or twice during the conversation. Only when does she share her interests with you, her music, her singing, her piano skills, is when she has opened the door for you to enter her heart. She's a really trustworthy, optimistic and reliable friend who you can go to whenever you have trouble, she knows exactly how to comfort others and cheer them up. If she wasn't to become a singer, she'd like to be a psychologist or music therapist.

Background: At home, she's extremely respectful to her parents, but neither of them are that close to her. She talks to them regularly but does not reveal her true feelings to them. The only one that she pours her whole heart out to is her grandmother. Her grandmother raised her when she was little and she was given to the hands of her parents only when she turned 8. She stayed close to her grandma, giving her calls regularly and visiting her often. After her friendship incident she went to her grandmas and cried in her lap, her grandmother was the only one that she completely trusted at the time.

Her father is the CEO of a small fashion company (that he started himself) which he wanted Hae Rin to inherit, however Hae Rin always rejected the offer whenever it was mentioned, which made her relationship with her father even more distant. She had started learning piano when she was 5 and aced it (Lmus) when she was 14. Her dad wanted her to become a professional pianist and made her paricipate in many piano competitions, she loved piano but she hated these comps and did not want to become a world-known pianist. Her mother tried to show care for her, but her mother cared more about her father and shopping than her.

Friendship, is something that had hit Hae Rin hard in the face. She loved music and naturally formed a band and strong friendship with the people who were interested in music just like her. As Hae Rin is a girl who believes in loyalty, she gave in her all to her band and her friendship, but a few controversies between her friends in the past eventually broke their so called "strong bonded friendship". In the past a member of the "other band" liked the same guy as Hae Rin, but the guy rejected the other member completely and had a crush on Hae Rin instead, Hae Rin did not go out with the guy in order to keep her friendship ( she was that friend-oriented in the past) but that member still had a secret hatred against her. Afterwards another member of the "other band" kept seeing Hae Rin talking, discussing and singing with people from other bands, and they thought Hae Rin was going to betray them (Hae Rin was only trying to learn more skills from the others in order to improve and help her own band win the competition). The main one was when Hae Rin "stole" the leader's place as the musical representative of the school to go overseas and participate in a really important and helpful tour to outstanding musical students; that tour offered many opportunities to music students. All these controversies between her friends hate her due to jealousy and their emotions exploded as they threw insults and the worst kind of words at Hae Rin one day and kicked her out; this accident damaged Hae Rin a lot. She cried for many days when she thought how much she had tried to maintain her friendship, and how much effort and how many things she did for her friends. Her friends spread rumours about her and it went crazy around the school but she learned to ignore the comments and went on living her "alone" life. She was comforted by her grandma and after that day, her awareness was turned up a notch and turned into that "smiling-distant-girl".

Trivia:

- She loves coffee, it's her energy filler, something that makes her feel awake and realise how lucky she is compared to so many others in this world.

- She's really friend-oriented, even more than her family (but not her grandma), however that was ruined after her previous friends betrays her, however it comes back as she makes new friends. After her new friends gained her trust, she risked it and told herself to just try friendship once more.

- She loves photography and going travelling alone. She loves the outdoors, climbing mountains during sunrise and she'd sometimes bring her camera along and take memorable amazing pictures of the sceneries she has witnessed in her life.

- She had strong musical talent; she can sing, dance, play piano, guitar and violin. Piano and guitar was of her own interest, violin was something that her father wanted her to learn. He wanted her to be a classical music student, not someone apart of a rock band.

- She hates enclosed spaces and the darkness; it reminds her of the time she was kidnapped when she was little. That's the only thing that really scares her and haunts her in her life.

- She loves living things and cares for them, even bugs, she doesn't try to kill them when she sees them, she catches them and releases them into the garden or the outside world.

- She hates mushrooms and tomatoes and coriander ever since she was little.

- She loves sports and is a sporty person. She used to play basketball and badminton when she was little. She had to give up basketball due to piano but continued badminton.

- She taps her foot a lot when she's nervous.

- She taps her foot or hand to the music whenever she hears music unconsciously.

- She began to develop an interest in video games after she became a "loner". The only thing she could do during class breaks when she has already finished all her notes and homework.

- She jumps on the spot and squeals silently and dances a crazy dance when she's extremely happy. She does it in secret and tries not to let anyone see her celebratory dance.

- Childish things makes her smile unconsciously, she doesn't know why and does not realise it until someone pointed it out.

Family:

Choi Kang Nam I Father I He's a strict and stubborn person, whatever he wants he would get. Pride comes first in his perspective and he cares a lot about what others think about him and his family. He's impatient and does not really talk things through with the other when he's making decisions for them, which is something Hae Rin always disliked. I Hae Rin repsects her father a lot and acts in a mannered way in front of him. However she does rebel against him when they hit the topic about her future, her jobs, her friends, her everything. Her father likes to have her in control and know everything about her, what she's doing, who's around her etc. This makes Hae Rin dislike her father and tries to stay as distant as possible from her father.

Song Jian | Mother | She's someone who's carefree, optimisitic and always carries a warm smile. She's also extremely friend-oriented, she's a housewife and spends a lot of time with her friends. | Hae Rin's mother tries her best to care for Hae Rin, but her efforts aren't enough to open Hae Rin up completely. They do have a close relationship as in a cuddle from her would make Hae Rin feel a lot better, but she's not good with words when it comes to talking to Hae Rin. Actions and body language is the way the mother-daughter communicate.

Friends she used to have.

Jung Eunji | Ex Best friends | They were childhood friends and their families are close to each other too. They used to always sing duets together and played piano duets together. They fooled around and they shared the same crushes. She was also a member of Hae Rin's Previous band.

Name: Oh Sehun

Personality: Oh Sehun is a layback, gullible and fun person to hang around with. He's extremely oblivious to people's feelings and does not realise what effect his words has done to a person until ages after the incident. He's an extremely blunt person, he says whatever he thinks. He's an extremely carefree person who does not think of the consequences of what he does, so you could call him childish.

He loves joking around with his friends and is not afraid going up to strangers. He loves taking challenges, therefore he is pretty courageous. Surprisingly he connects with musical people really easily. He loves basketball and is a sporty person. He has extreme talent with the beat, whether it was basketball or the drums, noone could have a better sense of beat than him.

Background: Sehun could be said to be born in a rich and wealthy family but he doesn't really care about his dad's company or the amount of money that he has in his bank account. He tried to live his life just like any other average kid in his class. His father runs an entertainment company and wishes Sehun to become an idol under his company due to his extreme sense to rhythm and beats, but Sehun refused. He liked his band more than the idea of being in an idol group and being swooned over by crazy fans. His father was a little upset and was even more unhappy when he realised sehun's grades were dropping like a waterfall due to him concentrating on his drums for his band. Luckily Sehun has a younger brother who was better than him and grabbed his father's attention, which gave Sehun a little more freedom.

Relationship: After their first meeting, Sehun would go up to Hae Rin to check if she was okay, but Hae Rin most of the time just give a mysterious smile and nod and walks away from him. Sehun somehow got hae rin's number and started texting her non-stop, he gained an extreme interest in Hae Rin and did not give up. Hae Rin gained a little interest to him after he mentioned he was in a band too. She was reluctantly pulled to his band's concerts a few times, but she enjoyed it and gradually gave up to Sehun's kindness. She started to play basketball with him often and even started to tutor him as his father was upset with Sehun's academic results. Sehun was the second person to break her protective war after Hoya and her new band mates.

How You Met: It was during the basketball competition between schools and Hae Rin's school was short of people, it took ages to convince them to allow a girl in to play but she was allowed in. She volunteered and during the game Sehun bashed into her hard and made her fall, grazing her arms and legs badly. He apologised and volunteered to send her to the sick bay.

Backup: Lee Howon

Personality: Howon is an observant, quiet and handsome guy who has a strong passion for dancing. He doesn't speak much and his grades are average but his dancing always make people look at him in a different light. Howon does occasionally joke and laugh with his band mates but that's the only people that he shows his true self to. He also has talent in singing and rapping but not as good as his dancing. He's a person with strong determination and team spirit. He's also a good listener but there's noone beside him that would listen to him rant.

Background: Lee Howon is an orphan and he used to live alone but recently moved in with some of his mates. His dad passed away due to a heart attack and his mother left him. It was his grandparents that raised him until they couldn't anymore. He became extremely independent and spent all his time in dancing and choreographing. He did not have proffessional training, he learnt dancing all by himself from watching videos and people who dances on the streets. Recently he got accepted as a backup dancer into one of the entertainment companies; he has been offered to become an official trainee and he's still thinking about it.

Relationship: At first they do not talk much, all they do is by Howon texting her, telling her when to meet him in the music room and they'd sing and play piano duets together for hours. They'd hardly talk to each other in real life maybe only "Are you thirsty?" "Yes" "I brought an extra bottle of water, here you go." However even though they had simple conversations, they had a strong bond through music. Only when Howon came one day and collapsed completely in front of Hae Rin when his grandmother passed away, Hae Rin revealed her true self and gave howon her comfort. After that day, they started to become more comfortable with each other and howon would all the time about small things, it annoyed hae rin but it also made her secretly happy.

How You Met: Hae Rin was playing piano and Howon walked in on her quietly without Hae Rin realising. She stops immediately and stands up but Howon sits and starts playing her favourite piano duet and started singing which made Hae Rin turn back and played/sang along with him and finished the duet.
