BACKGROUND:
Hai Lun was mainly brought up by her grandparents when she was young in Korea and she was born in Korea too. Most of her Chinese family lived in Korea from quite a few generations back but her parents migrated to Australia due to their jobs and left Hai Lun behind with her grandparents. That was also the first time she saw her actual parents (besides birth, she was given to her grandparents to look after when she was 6 months old). Her parents left her with her grandparents due to their work and they did not have time to look after Hai Lun, plus they already had to look after a seven year old boy. Hai Lun was basically an "accident" but her mother persisted to have her.
Her father was a famous doctor and Hai Lun's whole family were doctors, her mother, father, her grandparents and later on her brother became one too.
When she moved to Melbourne to be with her family when her grandparents passed away at at the age of 10, her mother welcomed her but her father and brother didn't really care about her. Her brother was the perfect son who got perfect grades in everything, although he hardly showed any care to Hai Lun, she always saw him as a role model. She didn't know how he could endure all the lectures, scoldings and expectations from their father because she couldn't. He gave up his music dreams and became a doctor just like what their father wanted, but Hai Lun rebelled as much as she could even at the age of 10 when she said casually that she wanted to pursue a career in music. Her father had said no immediately, and when Hai Lun retaliated and continued arguing that she wanted to pursue her dream, her father threw everything on the floor and her mother's pearl necklace broke and the pearls sprawled everywhere. He closed the door and locked her in there for a night. Now Hai Lun sees these pearls every time she's in an enclosed space.
She was a straight A student, but occasionally received a few Bs which worsened her relationship with her father. Her father neglected her and forced the idea of being only a doctor on her. They frequently had fights about this. Her mother was kind, caring, and often comforted her but told her not to rebel her father as it will not end on a happy note. Hai Lun started playing piano at the age of 5 as she had interest in it. She was forced to also start violin at the age of 6. She achieved Lmus level in both piano and violin at the age of 13, the only thing that has made her father proud. She felt happy in doing so, but as soon as she mentioned leading a pianist career to her father, their relationship stiffened once again.
Her brother often sided with her father although he had more things in common with Hai Lun. She didn't know why he was so distant towards her but she secretly still admired and loved him. At the age of 15, she had a huge fight with her father. She argued and argued about determining her future path, and that she should be able to decide what happens in her life. This angered her father so much that he started hitting her and slapped her across the face, leaving her in a mess before leaving the house. A few minutes later, a phone call informed the whole family that her parents had passed away due to a car accident. To this day, Hai Lun still secretly believes that the death of her parents was her fault, although she'd say she knows it wasn't.
She loved singing and piano, and fell in love with Kpop at the age of 8, which was when she started practiced dancing in school secretly. She had complete freedom when she was with her grandparents but in Australia, she had to keep it a secret from her father, as her father would definitely have stopped her . After her father's passing, her brother grew closer to Hai Lun and explained to her that him being distant towards her in the past was for the benefit for the both of them. Although their father had mistreated them both, both Hai Lun and her brother missed him heaps. They missed their mother more, and Hai Lun would often cry and cry alone in her room, and sometimes her brother would discover her and comfort her.
With no more restrictions, and after Hai Lun "got over" the death of her parents, and living with the optimistic attitude that her mother has always told her to carry, along with her brother's support, she decided to go to South Korea after her first audition with JYP in Sydney. Her brother knew how independent and determined Hai Lun was and hence despite his protective instincts, he let her go.
She lived with her beloved aunt in South Korea. Her aunt was a widow and she was extremely understanding. She took great care of Hai Lun and encouraged, comforted her through her hard trainee times. Hai Lun was also recruited and worked as a model whilst studying before her official debut. She speaks Korean and English at home with her family, despite her having a Chinese descent. She was forced to learn Chinese by her parents, but her Chinese had never been outstanding.

Oh sehun is a layback, gullible and fun person to hang around with. He's extremely oblivious to peple's feelings and doesn't realise what effect his words has done to a person until ages after the incident. He's an extremely blunt person, says whatever he thinks. He doesn't think of the consequences of what he does and can be quite childish sometimes.
He loves joking around with is friends and isn't afraid of taking challenges, he's pretty courageous. He connect with musical people really easity and he loves basketball; he's quite a sporty person. He has extreme talent with the beat, whether it was basketball or the drums. No one could have a better sense of beat than him.
Sehun could be said to be born in a rich and welathy family but he doesn't really care about his dad's company or the amount of money he has in his bank account. He tried to live his life just like any other average kid in his class. His father runs a fashion company and wanted him to inherit it, but sehun refused to and their relationship stiffened afterwards. This part of his life was similar to Hai Lun's and when Sehun discovered Hai Lun's past, he felt for her, and supported her whenever she needed help. Their relationship also progressed a lot more.
HOW YOU MET: They first met on the streets when Hai Lun first came to Korea. She was riding her bike on the streets one morning as morning exercise. She forgot her ipod that day so she just looked around and enjoyed the view. A boy was riding his bike right next to her and their legs were quite in sync, surprising Hai Lun. However, Sehun was oblivious of her for around ten minutes as he was listening to his music. He looked to the side and when they met eyes, he smiled sweetly at her, making her blink in surprise. They coincidentally stopped at the same place, and Sehun offered her Bubble Tea. They shared bubble tea and had quite a nice talk about their dreams. Sehun asked for her phone number and although they didn't really keep in touch. They were reunited again when Sehun visited Woolim entertainment to visit a friend.
INTERACTIONS: Although they had quite a nice talk during their first interaction, when they actually got to know each other, they realised how different they were from each other and were often at each other's nerves. Sehun hated pranks but Hai Lun often pranked him and he got really annoyed. Sehun always interrupts Hai Lun when she talks which pisses her off. They hardly had anything in common, but neither of them could keep the other out of their heads. They'd think of each other unconsciously when they're staring out into space. However one day Hai Lun discovered a devastated Sehun sitting on the staircase and they shared everything with each other, their past, their hidden feelings and that's when they saw each other in a different light. Hai Lun helps clean Mark up and they end up eating their lunch together. They started training together from then on.
INTERACTIONS: At first they weren't extremely close, just friends who grabs lunch together, gossip and train together. It wasn't until the time when Hai Lun was accidentally locked in a training room by herself, and Mark came to rescue her and found her in a sobbing mess, did they become a lot closer to each other. From then on, they'd always joke around with each other, pranking each other time to time. They text each other A LOT and when they have time they make phone calls too.
