FUTURE WIFE

five personality traits: Quiescent, amiable, perfectionist, caring, controlling.
personality:

If you'd ask the people of Belgium to describe their crown princess, they would most likely smile and tell you to simply imagine the very essence of peace and grace. And while this description is quite lovely and very flattering; there is of course more hidden beneath The Dove's delicate feathers.
Coralie is a soft-spoken soul and rarely makes a big spectacle out of herself; she only says exactly what she has to and prefers to show her emotions or affections through gestures. She has a tendency to sit quietly and may appear to be shy, but she is actually an extremely cooperative and patient person, it's just that most of the time she prefers being by herself. She's an introverted person and being around people for too long exhausts her. This is where her love for nature comes from. Ever since birth she's constantly had people around her, telling her what to do, what to say, what to think and even who to be. But nature is not ruled by tradition or public appearance, it simply is. And if Coralie could have anything she wanted, it would be a last name and a small cottage in the middle of a forest a mere kilometer away from a small village where she would be a pre-school teacher. Her life would be quiant and boring and she'd change the world by giving the children she teaches a chance.
Coralie is a very sweet girl; she wishes for nothing but good for everyone around her and is dead set on making the world a better place through her peaceful accords. But don't get the wrong idea! She is not all soft and delicate, and is definitely not an easy target. To those who truly know her it is nothing new that she can at times display a cruel two-faced quality, and even though she's seldom intentionally malicious, she has a nasty (and very dangerous, if you ask her publicist) habit of letting out quick-witted and hurtful comments if she is provoked. She is especially prone to this sort of behavior when she feels she has been wronged or hurt by others. She's not one to let other's get away with cruelty, whether it is directed to her or somebody else.
But Coralie is a Princess of Belgium, and in being that she has spent her entire life fine tuning the art of perfection. Smile here, laugh there, always speak of your happiness and pride at the thought of your people and country, and make sure to remind everyone of how truly happy you are to serve Belgium. But her own demand for perfection often affects other people, and it causes her to nag and snap at people who don't live up to her standards. But in all honesty this is all because she is aware of what there is to lose, and she just wishes for everyone to be happy and safe. So her constant strive for perfection is simply because nothing else is acceptable. She has screwed up twice already and by some kind of miracle the Belgian people still favors her, but she suspects they won't be as accepting if she slips up again. So she keeps her real self under wraps, she smiles and she tells the world how truly happy she is to wed one of Korea's princes.
background:

Born into the royal family of Belgium, Coralie's life has been hectic. She first started her education at age two, at that time she was taught about Belgian traditions and both French and German. She was a very calm child, but if this is simply in her nature or because of her stinted childhood no one can be completely certain. Growing up she never saw much of her parents, they were very busy people, in fact, the only time she ever spent with her mother was the daily two hours when her mother would teach her sophistication and courtesy, The Queen also spent a lot of time reminding Coralie how fleeting her reality could be, how, if she didn't play her cards right, she'd lose everything. Her mother has always been a very old-fashioned Queen. She sees it as a wife's duty to always support her husband, but she is not to ever try to lead or rule, that is a man's job. So you can imagine The Queen's displeasure when Coralie grew up dreaming about becoming Prime Minister instead of Queen, when she insisted that she could rule just as well as any man. Coralie kept insisting and dreaming and the Queen kept trying to kill those thoughts. This continued until The Dove was twelve years old and everything happened. To the tune of Vivaldi and among costumes of satin Coralie slowly saw her mother lose her mind. Paranoid mumbling, hysterical screaming, no one knew what was wrong with her and treatment was given in secret; no one could know the Queen was ill. After a year of treatment and no word of the Queen to the public, rumours started spreading. To fight the rumours, an official statement as released that the Queen was suffering form a heart condition. In reality; the Queen was locked up in a room in the palace, constantly surrounded by psychiatrists who tried to cure her.

With The Queen out of the picture; The King finally started paying some attention to his daughter. Coralie slowly started to take the place of The Queen during public appearances and here is where De Duif was born. The Queen's insanity had done something to Coralie, she finally realized what was expected of her. So she slowly but surely started to grow into the mold already prepared for her. But she slipped up a few times. When she was fourteen she called herself an Atheist; saying she did not identify with the Catholic church. It caused quite the uproar and Coralie was forced to take the statement back, but the damage was done and the royal family's popularity sunk with 4%. Her second slip up was even worse. She was sixteen years old and in an interview she said "I wouldn't mind marrying a girl. As long as we love each other I don't think the rest matters. If two people love each other, they should be together" the country's LGBT community was delighted and the older generation was outraged. But The King was the worst. It turned out he was quite the homophobe and he would not tolerate his heiress to bee anything but perfectly straight. Here's where the Princes of Korea came in. It was the perfect plan; Belgium would get an important connection and he would ensure his crown princess' future. The King is pleased that the Korean royal family has accepted his proposal, but is quite aggravated that it was the second youngest prince who chose her, making it very unlikely Coralie will become Queen. Coralie herself is annoyed and feels rather betrayed. She is very much aware of her duties, but she does not wish to marry out of politics.

current job: Princess of Belgium (If you can call that a job)
work life: Coralie is well aware of how lucky she is; as long as she carries the title Princess she will never have to worry about her future. She will never have to worry about going hungry or not having enough money to pay rent, but she can't help but wonder what it would be like were she allowed to do whatever she wanted with her life. Would she have been happier? (She probably would have)
living arrangements: She currently resides in the Royal Palace of Laeken with the rest of the royal family, but it is expected that she moves to Korea very soon.

DEARLY BELOVED

family:
Mother | Juliana Louise Emma Marie Wilhelmina | alive | 46 | Queen of Belgium | Sophisticated, social, traditional, strict | Coralie never addresses her mother as anything but The Queen, this might seem cold and distant, but it is what she was taught. Coralie has not seen The Queen since she was thirteen, parts of her misses The Queen greatly while other parts are terrified of what's become of the respect inducing Queen.

* Father | Alexander Claus George Ferdinand| alive | 47 | King of Belgium | Strict, respectful, old-fashioned, distant | The King has never really been a part of Coralie's life. He is her father, but she barely regards him as such. He is The King and she will do what he asks of her, but she does not harbour any daughterly love for him.

best friend:
 * A princess cannot have friends. Only Subjects. ~ The Queen to a five years old Coralie.

MY PRINCE

full name: Kim Jongin Oh Sehun
five personality traits: Immature, tactless, impractical, passionate, with a hidden sweetness.
personality:

Kim Jongin is a teenage boy. Simple as that. He's immature and at times arrogant, lacking both tact and patience. He has a tendency to express every thought his head produces, something that has caused his publicist to start writing all his public speeches and preparing all his answers for his interviews, but among those who truly know him, he's quite the since he always finds it necessary to express his every thought, especially about other people. But while you might want to dismiss him as merely a mean narcissist, that would be to ignore half of his being. Because truth is that Jongin is very rarely  intentionally cruel, he just lacks the ability to think through his actions and words before it's too late. But this fault is a dangerous one when you are a Prince of Korea, so Jongin has resorted to charming the female population of Korea (and the world, let's be honest) by playing the role of the rebel prince. No one in the royal family thought it would work, but lo and behold the public gobbled it up.

But in reality Jongin is a quite sweet boy, but being a spoilt child he's used to have everything he wants whenever he wants and this has led to him having trouble accepting the duties and expectations placed on him as prince.

Oh Sehun is the youngest of the Korean Princes. This makes him the baby, the little brother and the one who understands the least, with the way Sehun has been constantly coddled and cooed at while growing up, it isn't a surprise that he grew up to become quite the brat. He's tall and golden, with flashing brown eyes and a smile that can cut like a knife, but he's also a child. Sehun has yet to realize the expectations and duties placed on him as prince. He goes through his life expecting everything to live up to his expectations; he expects everything to be laid out in front of him because that is how it always have been. There have always been someone else there to do things for him or grant all of his wishes, he is not very keen on this changing and honestly does not understand why it has to. In a sense he's quite naive. The arranged marriage has him feeling betrayed, and he takes it out on Coralie; acting as problematic and coldly as possible, hoping that she'll get the message and leave him alone.

But Sehun does have some redeeming qualities. His love and admiration for his brothers, for example. Sehun adores all of his elder brothers, and growing up he'd follow them around, mimicking them and trying his best to be just like them. To his brothers he is very sweet, and it's around his brothers that his stoic face is exchanged for a boyish smile. For the people he loves, Sehun wishes nothing but happiness, and he will do everything he can to ensure their happiness and safety.

what was your first impression of him?:

I first met the Princes of Korea in 2010, at the Swedish Royal wedding. The King made me converse with each and every one of them to the best of my abilities, but their English was atrocious, so there was never much said. But I thought Jongin seemed rather... Improper. He acted as if he was chatting me up and not getting acquaintanced with me. When I spoke to Sehun he seemed rather indifferent. I got the impression that he did not wish to speak to me, though I couldn't figure out why.

how do you two act together?:

It's rather stiff, because of the language barrier, but that's mostly when we're among other people. I don't understand how, but we somehow manage to bicker without saying a single sentence in the same language. I call him jeoha, the way I'm supposed to, but I think he takes it as a taunt and not a show of respect, as he should. I'm aware that it is immature, but if he keeps acting the way he does, the public is going to disapprove of our marriage; and who's going to get the blame? The beloved maknae Prince of Korea, or the foreign Princess who has already caused scandals? My life and reputation is depending on our marriage, he might be able to get away with not marrying me, but I won't.

how did you feel when he chose you?:

I was both surprised and not surprised at all. He does seem like the type of boy who'd like a pretty foreign betrothed to flaunt, but I honestly never thought he'd want to spend the rest of his life with me. When we first met I got the impression that he could not stand me.

would you rather be with one of his brothers? if yes, which one?:

Kyungsoo, I believe. He's a very darling young man and his English isn't nearly as bad as his brothers'. He's got a very interesting sense of humour, too.

what do you think you relationship will be like five years from now?:

It all depends on Jongin, I suppose. I mean, it could go either way, we could hate each other or adore each other. If I'm really lucky, maybe we'll come to love and support each other, but not simply because of our marriage, but because we are good together and can make each otehr happy. *sigh* A girl can dream.

It's up to Sehun. I have every intention to try and make this work. But it's up to Sehun if we'll hate every moment of the rest of our lives or if we can at least be friends.

JUST A BIT MORE

describe your dream wedding:
In all honesty I've never spent much time thinking about my wedding. I've never truly wanted to get married, it has always seemed rather impractical and illogical; promising someone your forever when you don't know anything about what's to come your way, but I know what's expected of me, and I can't afford another scandal, my people might love me, but I suspect I move forward a little too fast for them to keep up. It might be improper, but I think I'd like to have the ceremony in a forest, with just my closest loved ones. A pretty little ceremony that makes way for a night filled with dancing, good food and genuine laughter.
what do you think being a princess will be like?:
Well I'd like to think I know better than anyone.
what do you think is the hardest part of being a princess?:
Expectations. And your lack of choice. It will never be about what you want. You can't not do something simply because you do not "feel like it", it is all about what your people think of you, your sole purpose is to give your people hope and support, you are there to guide and reassure them of their country's greatness, your entire existence is dependent on the people's need and want for you, because if they deem you unnecessary, or grow bored with you; You'll be princess no longer.
what kind of queen will you be, if you had to be one?:
I hope not to be merely "My King's Queen", I want belong to no one but myself and I would love to have just as much to say about political affairs as My King. I'm aware that this is not what's proper, but it is what I hope for. I want to be a comfort to my people, even if I might never be seen as one of them; I hope that they will one day accept me as a confidant and trust me as one of their rulers.

FINAL WISHES

scene suggestions: (optional)
any other comments?: This app has made me learn a lot more about Belgian royalty than I honestly care to know... Oh, and she doesn't have a last name because royalty don't have last names! They usually go by their house name, if anything ^^; (I did my research.......) I took some liberties with the app, but I hope you don't mind too much ^^ And Belgium is a constitutional monarchy, but the King still has some political influences, but I think you could write it however you want, whatever you think would serve your story and my character's plot line best ^^

Seriously, every time I describe jongin as anything but a sweet, dorky little boy whose scared of loud noises my heart aches because i think he's such a sweetheart and a little baby.
