I am a VIP since 2006 and have been supporting Big Bang for the longest time. So when I found that gdragon was going to come back for his final show in Seoul I had to take the opportunity to go. I was even blessed to go for both shows and even though they had the same lineup… With some surprises in between, they were both different in many ways. I will tell you how.

August 31st

The first show was crazy. I got standing seats and that screamed “hey! Get your there early!” I ended up going with my coworker who is a gdragon fanboy… Yes there are thirty year old men taller than him who love and support his music. That being we were both foreigners! We stirred somewhat attention to ourselves. We even got YG entertainment crew to take a picture of us so hopefully we will make it to the fan book or something.

Anyway, so cut to the chase… I will never do standing again. I say this because standing is a death wish for a claustrophobe… I felt like I was in a mosh pit… These girls need to understand that pushing makes others angry and doesn’t make you move forward… Although I actually did end up being like a row away from gdragons presence. Sure it’s a way to get closer to gd but seriously the girls were crazy. There was an old lady in her fifties who was next to me at one point and she was shorter than me. I honestly wasn’t sure on how she was able to see the concert.

So the concert started with GDs Coup d’etat video and i honestly have to say that it was artistically well done! After that here he comes in his awesome glass car singing Michigo, Heartbreaker and One of a Kind. Originally you’re weren’t allowed to take any photos and if you do… You’re out of the venue. However, during his talk, mr. gd himself said it was ok to take pictures. I cannot express the amount of cameras and phones that were whipped out for a few photos of him and he even posed. I took some pics and they were really upclose. After, he did his honey/baby bit and it was all in Korean but still enough for me to understand what was going on. The feels of that going on…. He is so charismatic and he melted so many girls’ hearts. Whomever he is dating is lucky as hell.

There were appearances from CL who did The Leaders, Lee Soohyun from Akdong Musician who did Missing You, and Tablo who did Light it Up.

Mmmmmm GDragon and him being under the rain… Omg just seeing that up close… Made a lot of girls go crazy. Last time I remember he was not wearing a white tshirt but this time he was and oh my god… I cannot express in words.

Seungri was the special guest for the concert and of course being Seungri he gave a great performance. He performed Gotta Talk to you and Strong Baby.

Then another highlight of the show was when GDs second video for crooked came on. That was an awesome awesome awesome video considering that it was filmed in London. Side note GD is shirtless in both videos and in crooked he is only in his boxers… Which makes me like damn kid… You so fine.

Gd and seungri did bad boy together and of course the highlight of that bit was gwiyomi. Before I went to the show I saw a fan cam of him in Hong Kong and the crowd wanted him to do gwiyomi. He just shook his head and said no I’m not cute. Gd we know and you know damn well that you are cute so you’re gonna do it for the last show. And alas he did!!!! And it was über cute! Seungri got to do his too as requested by the audience. I will tell you now there were a lot of g-ri moments. I can see the great bond between the two of them. A highlight for me was when gd faced my direction and I had my camera phone pointed at him and he waved…. I died.

What I also loved about this show was the fact that I met people from Hong Kong and jeju during this experience. Gdragon brings people together lol.

September 1st

Since this show was the one where I got seats to sit so I was glad i I didn’t have to go through a mosh pit again. This time I got to go with my wifey and we got there around 2 ish. We didn’t get as much as exposure as we did the very first concert. At the very first ooak show two women from YG actually interviewed us and that was fun.

Of course the main highlight of this show was Big Bang! I have never saw Big Bang before ever so I was legit having a seizure when I saw them on stage. I do have to say… Taeyang you need to relax your hair cuz it is going all over the damn place…. I’m not sure on what to say to that…. But damn seungri and top you looking mighty fine… But I guess gd took my number one spot in Big Bang.

I was so sad when the show ended but he did end it in a cute with way. In his gdra-gom costume… It was sooooooooo adorable! And then when he did his deep bow I cannot express how much respect escalated from me. He truly does love his fans and his career as a singer and we can clearly see that in him. I look forward to seeing him again in concert or even just a random meet in if the opportunity is given!
