I CAN'T BELIEVE I DID IT!!!

Annyeong chingu-ah,

You are all probably wondering what I did to including my title in CAPS.

Firstly let me just say, I live in the Caribbean, where the sound of Korean music is close to non-existant, unless you count PSY, but that's besides the point.

Everyone thinks PSY should represent Kpop as a whole, normally I would agree considering that thanks to him, people know that Kpop exists, but...as any type of fangirl, mainly of the hallyu kings of kpop, DBSK or SuperJunior.

Cassies and ELFs I ask you, don't you think that besides single artists like PSY, our boy-bands should have some type of recognition by now, I would like to hear one song by dbsk on the radio, but I know it will take a couple of years.

But enough of that rant, because it's not going to help anyone.

Today....I was struck with some SHAWOL fever and to remedy this I listened to 'Ring Ding Dong' now that song can't stop playing in my head.

You would be addicted to it too.

I only know at least 2 people in my country who likes KPOP, that I know personally, but we all go different universities so it's hard to meet up.

Nevertheless, 2 people turned into 3 today as I introduced my older cousin, who is getting married soon, to SHINEE.

I left her with my phone to view the video.

She got addicted to the song.

She is the first person in my family to acknowledge KPOP.

She said the boys of SHINEE, were cute, bare in mind she's 26, so technically, Noona neomu yeppeo. Lol.

Couldn't resist.

Lol.

I am quite proud of that fact.

I turned my cousin into a SHAWOL.

I feel like celebrating.

I just gave my cousin a little history about the difference between JPOP & KPOP, she was confused at first, but eventually got a brain overload.

Considering I'm not alone anymore, it's difficult to be in a family where nobody knows what your're talking about and won't try to understand it.

You would normally give them the benefit of the doubt, but they always disappoint you.

Yet I succeeded.

Which brings me to my questions, How many of you managed to convince any of your family members to watch a kpop song and have actually liked it?
