Hello to my fellow Unnies and Donsaengs,

It's been a while since I've been on AFF due to school and personal committments.  I initially took some time away from here to gather my thoughts because when I ultimately returned, I was to finish all my hiatus stories and give new fresh stories. However, it's not the case. 

We've recently lost someone and as a fellow SHAWOL. I also lost a friend. 

His music, his voice. 

Kim Jonghyun, thank you for sharing your struggles. I'm sorry no one could understand your pain and you had to hide it behind smiles. I'm sorry we failed to realize you had suffered so much. I'm sorry we were to late to save you like you saved us with your music. We're a small fanbase in the Caribbean, but we are fans who've been here since the early years. We are united by you with our regional and international sisters & brothers who loved you.  I've loved Korean music since 2003, it's been 14 years. I've seen the music industry tear down artists, many bands and discard them like trash , like slaves, like they have no feelings. 

I want all my fellow SHAWOLS and lovers of music, to know that having a mental illness doesn't mean you have to go at it alone. We are here for you. If you need to talk to someone, but you feel like you'll be a burden, STOP! Don't think that. The first step of a problem is realizing there is one, and if you know you need help, seek it. Don't be afraid. This is a community of love. Let us help.
