BaekChen's IS2 Performance (+ Jongdae Needs to Have a Solo Career)

So I've been listening to Baekhyun's and Jongdae's version of 'Really I Didn't Know' for the past couple of hours and it's beautiful. Baekhyun's falsetto is amazing, but Jongdae is really outstanding and gave me chills. Harmonizations were great and the song was such a good pick for them. Baekhyun did well, but I feel like Jongdae really was shining in this number, especially showing off his lower range (amazing guys, it is amazing) to his wonderful high range we all know and love and I really want Jongdae to have some solos. I'm not saying Baekhyun or Kyungsoo don't deserve it, but Jongdae has this wide range, raw emotion, and timbre about him that really makes me think he'll do well, especially for OSTs.

I know that Jongdae has a long way to go and is still coming into his own, but with every performance and chance to sing, his stage presence is getting better and better, as well as his control and singing ability. I remember he did well in MAMA era, but he's learned alot throughout the year and became a much more experienced singer in Wolf and Growl promotions. Radio shows and some solos/duets/small group singing has helped him here and there to get him more recognition and give him practice, but I really feel that he could really shine with a solo album or a few solo OST songs on his own.

Baekhyun and Kyungsoo are good singers, Luhan being good as well, but Jongdae just has this energy and emotional aspect to his singing that usually makes me tingle a bit. The others can have it on occasion, but Jongdae does it quite well, even when he's singing in Chinese. Yes, it's not as apparent when it comes to the Chinese versions of songs, but you can still feel the emotions he pours in the songs and for him to do that and still have some trouble grasping the language is quite a feat. The Korean versions of songs are usually much easier for him to sing, but they also allow him to put a lot more emotion into his singing voice and not have to worry about how his annunciation and stuff.  So I definitely think with a bit more experience and practice, Jongdae has the potential to become one of the best vocalists in kpop (and what makes it even better, at least for me, is that Jongdae has such an interesting singing voice, being almost able to sound like two different people when it comes to singing in different registers, that I have a thing for his voice and singing chops).

However, this was a very strong performance by both and solidifies the fact that they need to sing more ballads like this. I like the stuff they have on albums, trust me, I love their album songs, but songs and performances like this definitely get me a bit more.

But yeah, what do you guys think?

It was amazing<3
And I thought it was pretty cool how their voices harmonized like that... They fit almost perfectly, but you could still hear their individual voices :)
I think it's the same with Baekhyun and Kyungsoo ^^

Speaking of OSTs, have you heard "Lucky" from their repackaged album? It'd be a perfect OST! Hahaha
