Ulzzang - jang chom mi Style - Junghee likes to wear things that won't restrict her from dancing. most of the time, she wears oversized tops because of how comfortable they are. Usually they're patterned/print tops, like floral, cheetah/leopard, tribal, and other things. she is quite confident in her legs, which are smooth, pale, and looks quite long. that resulted in her wearing shorts a lot, but not when the weather is too cold. accessories are a must for her. she has to have at least three accessories on when going out, minus the bag. junghee is quite interested in the "hipster" style and would usually incorprate it in her wardrobe choices. some examples: ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Extra - junghee has long jet black hair that falls a little above her waist and is a bit wavy at the end. she would like to try coloring it though. she usually brushes 2/3 of her hair to one side (something like this ♦). her hair is very smooth and healthy, because she takes care of it frequently and thoroughly. she does that because she's paranoid about hair loss and going bald, even though her hair is perfectly fine. her eyes are pitch black and when you look closely they look as deep as the ocean. junghee has three piercings on each ear lobe and always wear different earrings on each piercing. |

traits - positive: observant, loyal, creative || negative: paranoid, hard on herself, vengeful Description ⋮ junghee is very observant of everything and everyone. it's a skill that she's quite proud of, because she likes it when she notices things that others don't. where's waldo is practically her favorite game. her attention to details actually made her a bit of a straightforward person. sometimes she doesn't even realize that she's being a bit blunt. she tries to control herself so instead of pointing out people's flaws, she tries to see what others are like. her new found adoitness, which developed after she moved to seoul, has helped her quite a lot in socializing and getting to know other people. she adapts herself to the person she's comunicating with. for example, if she's with someone who likes it quiet, she'll try not to speak too loudly and have a calmer voice than usual. she likes listening to others talk about themselves, because she likes observing them as they talk and what they talk about. so really, people interest her. however, her over-observant nature had made her into a somewhat paranoid person. she would come up with all sorts of conspiracy or ludicrous ideas from things she notices, like how everyone always has a hidden agenda or even how you should wash your hair everyday or it could lead to hair loss and then baldness. as a child, it was sorta hard for junghee to make friends, what with her illness and being a foreign student. when she was able to befriend someone, someone she could trust, junghee would try to be a great friend to them. she's very loyal to the few friends that she has. junghee would express her loyalty towards her friends by sticking by them, caring for them, and being a reliable friend that they can count on. she feels that people who are great friend material and would actually befriend her comes rarely in life, so she likes to make those who are close to her happy. junghee blames herself for not being able to make friends easily. she's very hard on herself and would often blame herself for many things, even though it wasn't her fault. this once actually made her somewhat depressed when she was in middle school. being creative had come quite naturally to junghee. her creativity usually comes out in her dance, music, and approach on everyday life. she has mastered the art of dance and is even able to make wonderful choreograpies on her own. junghee had won several dance competitions since fifth grade, something she's very proud of. her piano and guitar has improved greatly since childhood as well. she sometimes likes to cover other people's songs using them, changing the arrangements of the song a bit. her creativity in life shows in her way at dealing with situations. she would use different and interesting ways to do her everyday tasks. her creativity would also show when she's trying to get back at someone. junghee is quite vengeful at other people, be it for a small thing or big. if someone pranked her, she would get back at them with ways they wouldn't expect. getting back at someone, in her eyes, brings fairness to the world. ( ❥ ⋮ dear family ) Biography ⋮ junghee was born in london, england, as a frail little baby. the doctor said that she was a bit underweight and that could potentially make her more vulnerable to diseases. her parents had to frequently admit her to the hospital when she was young, because she kept getting ill. her parents were very concerned about their daughter and her well being. as a kid, junghee couldn't play as often as she liked to with the other kids. at her age, her friends were usually running around outside, playing soccer, and all that stuff. unfortunately, junghee wasn't able to join them most of the time, because she was sick a lot. and when she was well enough to play with them, she couldn't do it for a long period of time, because she would get exhausted before the other kids were. this made it hard for her to make friends who are her age. when she was sick and couldn't go out, junghee usually gets piano lessons from her mom or go over to her neighbour's place. her neighbour was a dance teacher. junghee would go to their place and ask for them to teach her how to dance. some of the dances she learned as a kid were jazz and tap. her time in london had made her develop a love of dance and also very good english skills. after finishing second grade of elementary, junghee and her family moved to beijing, china, because of her father's work. at first it was hard for her to adapt to her new surrondings. the culture, language, and food of this country was a little difficult to adjust to. on the plus side, junghee's illness had gotten better with age, so she was able to do more physical things more often. they lived in an apartment complex and quickly made friends with a neighbouring family. they were a chinese couple who had a son about three years older than junghee. his name was zhixin. he was actually junghee's first love. junghee's parents both had to work, so they couldn't do some of the things that junghee wished they could, like take her and pick her up from school. zhixin was always there to take her and pick her up from school, also from her dance lessons. junghee continued to learn tap and started to learn other dances, like pop and hip hop. their schools were near each other, so it wasn't really a hassle on zhixin's part. junghee would always come over to zhixin's place after school, because her parents usually came back from work a bit late. her younger sister and brother were picked up by zhixin's mother after she worked and bring them to her home. junghee and her siblings would play with zhixin and she would learn mandarin from zhixin and his mother. zhixin and junghee became very close, to the point where she would call him gēgē (older brother). that's why they were both very sad when junghee and her family had to move to seoul. it was sad to leave beijing, but it was necessary. there was a job offering junghee's father heard about from his broher with a pay that was quite larger than his current job. the famiily's financial state wasn't doing all too well, so he decided to take the job. when they moved to seoul, junghee had to adapt to her surroundings yet again. the food and culture wasn't that hard to adapt to, because some of them are like those back in china. as for the language, her mother had taught her korean since junghee was young, because she thought that junghee should be able to speak the language of her people. even though she got the language down, making friends was still not all that easy. after a year of living in seoul, she managed to get some friends from her school and from her dance academy. now, making friends has gotten a lot easier for her. junghee's interest in the art of dance and performing had escalated since she was in the fourth grade. she now learns a few different types of dance genres, but her favorites are street dances, like hip hop, b-boy, pop, etc. Family ⋮ ♦ song, minsoo | 49 | father | mischievous, loving, realistic, hardworking, humorous | 4.5 ♦ song, sookyung | 46 | mother | caring, kind, graceful, compassionate, supportive | 5 ♦ song, yoonhee | 16 | younger sister | easy-going, blunt, indifferent, eloquent, sarcastic | 4.5 ♦ song, geunhee | 13 | younger brother | sporty, protective, kind, polite, competitive | 4.5 |

dancing ⋮
rapping ⋮ Stage personality ⋮ when performing, her facial expression usually adapts to the performance. when it's an upbeat performance, she'll put on a playful and flirtatoius expression. when it's an emotional performance, she'll have a serious and emotional expression on her face. she really loves dancing, so doing a dance performance is when you'll see her the happiest. junghee would sometimes dance to other group's songs while waiting for hers to go on. when talking on shows her personality isn't far off from her usual self. although, she sometimes try to be a bit more talkative and has better reactions. their manager told her to work on those and to do more fan service, because she tends to forget to do them. Trainee history ⋮ junghee was inspired to become a singer a few months after she moved to seoul. she saw a few idol groups performing on stage and it interested her. she started to compete in dance competitions and won several of them. before coming to korea she would only compete in jazz or tap dance competition, but after coming to seoul she tried competing in other fields, like hip-hop and b-boy. she really loved performing in front of a crowd, it gave her this exhilarating rush. junghee began auditioning for a few entertainment companies in 2007, but was always rejected. after a year of auditioning, soojung (krystal) convinced junghee to audition for sm entertainment. she was accepted into the company in mid 2008 and began her life as a trainee. she wasn't really bullied when she was training, but would sometimes be teased because she would forget a few words in korean, but instead remember them in english or mandarin. she only made a few trainee friends after being there for five months, so being there became slightly better. plus, she already had a friend when she joined the company, krystal. as a trainee, junghee worked really hard. practice was tiring, but being that she loved dancing and singing it was quite bearable. when the company told junghee that they were going to put her into a girl group that was about to debut, junghee didn't believe them. she thought the group would be disbanded before they even debut. that happened to her once and it made her quite depressed. she finally believed them when the production of their debut song started. only then did she start to feel the excitement and nerveousness of debuting. |

Love interest ⋮kim jongin (kai)
Personality ⋮ ♦ luhan: much of what you see on tv (or internet) are similar to his real self. luhan loves to have lots of friends around him. he is a very friendly and easygoing person. he treats others well in the hopes that others would treat him just as well. making friends hasn't been very hard for him. he may not make the first move, because he is a little shy, but people tend to want to get to know him because of his kind aura and friendly attitude. although he is quite mature in age, luhan is still very gullible. it would be quite easy to convince him of something. some people would because of that. although he has a lot of friends, luhan only clings to those who are really close to him. he would stick like glue to those he is close and comfortable with. while most people think luhan's korean skill is at the same level as natives, he is very insecure of it and often feels nervous when asked to talk a lot.
How you met ⋮ ♦ luhan: luhan was walking over to a soda machine in the halways. it was empty seing as it was already quite late and most of the people there had gone home. He stayed a bit longer to work on his dancing skills. it was his first week of being an official trainee at sm. luhan was so worried he would get left behind by the other trainees (because their dancing was good), he would stay a bit late to practice a bit more. when luhan reached the machine he took out his wallet and took out some money for a soda. he heard a door close not far from where he was standing and saw a girl with jet black hair coming out of a practice room. he guessed that there were probably a lot of trainees who would stay in late to practice. he turned his attention back to the machine in front of him and inserted some money into it. he pressed a button that would drop a can of soda for him to take, but nothing came out. he tried pressing the button over and over again, but nothing came out. luhan hit the machine with his hand and cursed in mandarin. junghee , who was making her way through the hallway and out of the building, heard this curse from the male in front of the vending machine. she understood what it meant and couldn't help but laugh. luhan was surprised that the girl suddenly laughed. he thought she must have understood. out of reflex, luhan started to bow and apologize to junghee. junghee came up to him and asked him what was wrong in mandarin. at first luhan was taken aback that the girl spoke mandarin, but he then told her how the machine ate his money. junghee told him that the machine would sometimes do that and you have to kick it's side to get the contents out. junghee kicked the side of the machine and suddenly two cans of soda dropped. luhan gave junghee one of the sodas as a thank you. they introduced themselves and headed out of the building together while talking. after that, everytime they saw each other, they would greet each other and talk a bit.
Relationship ⋮ ♦ luhan: their relationship is somewhat innocent. they like hanging out together, but would always shy away when things started looking more serious. luhan was the first one to realize that he had a crush on junghee, though he never told her about it. he was too shy to tell and was a bit afraid she would reject him. they would hang out after practice or even when they had free time. luhan would invite junghee to play basketball with him and the other guy trainees. not many girl trainees played sports on their free time. they think sweating in the practice room was enough for one day. junghee's love for basketball would always lead to her accepting his invitation and be super tired at the end of the day. luhan would buy her a drink or snack after they played together. he looked out for her a lot. he was always so sweet and caring towards junghee. this is what made her develop some feelings towards the older man. she was, of course, too shy to admit her feelings to luhan. what if he only thought of her as a sister? confessing would only lead to embarrassment and the demolition of their friendship, she thought. who knows. maybe one day, luhan might gather enough courage to make the first move. counterpart ⋮ zhang yixing (Lay) personality ⋮ you can see it clearly from his face, lay is an absent-minded young man. a blank expression and vacant stare is often plastered on his face. his attention span isn't really that long, but when it's time to be serious he can focus his attention on the task at hand and do his best. he tend to listen well when others talk to him, but when he's alone, his mind usually wanders off to his own world. many of the fans and his friends call him a 4-d type of person, to which he would admit was true. junghee and him both agree that being a 4-d type of person was a good thing, because it means that they're unique and interesting. lay doesn't really sweat the small stuff easily. he's very laid-back in almost every aspect of his life. when he does get stressed out, though, he always hides it from everyone with a smile. junghee had advised lay to talk to someone when he's stressed, but lay had only nodded in agreement and kept bundling up his feelings inside. at first meeting, lay is a bit shy, but once he gets more comfortable, he is quite a humorous. his witty comments and jokes would bring laughter to the people around him. how you met ⋮ they met just a few days after both of them were accepted into the company. lay was walking in the hallways of the sm building alone. he looked around and there was nobody in that particular hallway, so out of sheer randomness lay started to walk backwards with his hands in his pockets. junghee was on her way to the ladies room while texting her friend with her phone. her pace was quick and silent. she was oblivious to her surroundings, especially the man who was walking backwards towards her from the opposite direction. they crashed into each other and both let out a loud yelp. lay spun around on his heel after he regained his balance and saw a surprised girl. he immediately started to bow to her repeatedly and apologized to her in mandarin. he saw a phone on the ground not far from his leg and assumed it was the girl's. he picked it up and extended his arm to give it to her. he said in chinese, "I'm sorry. i was just walking backwards and i didn't see you there. and i'm sorry i crashed into you." junghee let out a loud laugh at his excuse. he had said it as if walking backwards was as normal as breathing air. she took her phone and also apologized to him because she was paying attention more to her phone than to where she was going, all the while speaking in chinnese. lay was glad that she was able to speak in chinese. that meant he didn't have to laboriously try to speak korean to apologize to her again. at the time his korean was still very basic. they introduced each other and started to talk. the only reason they stopped talking that time was because of junghee's bladder which reminded her why she was walking in the hallways in the first place. they parted ways and agreed to meet again after both their practices were over. as time went by, their friendship began to grow and they became very close. relationship ⋮ they are very close friends with a bit of a platonic relationship on the side. they often talk to each other and would sometimes hang out together, but only as friends. they both like their current relationship with each other, neither of them having the intention to take it to the next level. they've talked about it before, being in a relationship together, but they never did try to make it that serious and that was what they preferred. junghee loves lay's 4-d personality. to her it was interesting, and sometimes embarrassing to watch. Lay feels comfortable and at ease with junghee, not only because she understood him when he spoke in mandarin, but also because of her willingness to really listen to him and her caring nature towards him. they are also fans of each other's dancing. when they play a game together the punishment for the loser was always either food or a dance performance. |
