what do i do? : a 'newbie' writer's dilemma

please excuse the tasteless post since it isn't dazzled up or anything. just plain-old typing through the ipad (which hasn't been updated btw) so yeah, back to the actual dilemma.

okay so i don't think i can live up to the story i've just posted (you can't really read it now since i drafted it). anyway, it wasn't recently made though but posted two years ago, though the first chapter was just posted a few days ago.

when i created the story, it was initially going to circle around heechul/oc and i dearly love the guy but now... seeing all the exo stories, it's just clouding my mind!

and to add the plates (homework) and the fact that it's prelims for me right now (which i haven't studied for btw thanks to being in the hospital for a week!); i don't know if i can post any stories.

maybe some updates on my applications but posting actual stories, i don't know. it's seriously distracting me from my school work but i don't really know anymore dang it!

i was never really the type to study anyway but you guys get me? i want to do good but my brain can't stand being all academic! it needs pictures and stories and interesting facts that does not relate to school!

AND THIS IS BAD BECAUSE I'M IN COLLEGE NOW AND HAVE BEEN FOR A YEAR BUT I'M STILL LIVING THE LIFE OF A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT! OTL

AND CRAP I HAVE ALL THESE IDEAS BUT I DON'T HAVE TIME TO POST THEM OR DRAFT THEM AT LEAST BECAUSE I DON'T REALLY DO DRAFTING BUT RATHER THE ACTUAL THING BECAUSE IT NEEDS TO SOUND PRETTY AND NOT PETTY!

idontevenknowwhatimpostingaboutanymore

i'll go back to my drafting (how ironic) table now. bye.

It's well.. follow your heart? If posting it makes you happier then do that.. or if deleting makes it better then delete it. But don't keep keeping it inside you.. it's never going to end.

For me, I avoid long stories because I might not be able to finish it. Most of the time, I only do one-shots and short chaptered ones. :)

It helps if you know your strong and weak points in writing.

maybe you should just post it to get it off of your chest? i mean, if i get allt hese ideas all of a sudden, i just go write them down just to get it over with. just post what you have and then leave it be. it'll feel nice :) put that anchor and don't waver anymore. but really, do take your time with it. if you have other things to do that are more important, you should do that first. what i do is write down everything that comes in mind and that leave it be. i think about stories when i'm riding the bus to school or something.

i don't really know how to help haha...
